"One Vision" is a song written and recorded by the British rock band Queen, first released as a single in November 1985 and then included on their 1986 album A Kind of Magic. It was conceived by Roger Taylor.[3][4] The song was inspired by the life and exploits of Martin Luther King Jr., with the lyrics recounting a man battling and overcoming the odds.[4] In the 2011 BBC documentary, Queen: Days of Our Lives, Taylor stated his lyrics were "sort of half nicked off Martin Luther King's famous speech."[5] The song's music video featured a "morphing" effect of the band's famous pose in 1975's "Bohemian Rhapsody" video to a 1985 version of the same pose. The song was included in all Queen's live concert performances of The Magic Tour, as the first song of each concert.[6] They claimed they chose "One Vision" as the introduction song because its intro made a perfect concert introduction. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Vision

The “fried chicken” part was thought up by Freddie’s partner Jim Hutton who he was with for 7 years right up to his death. How about "Death on two Legs" or "Stone Cold Crazy"?
Stone Cold Crazy, the Queen AND the Metallica versions. 🤘
Deffinitely Death on Two Legs.! Do you feel good?, I FEEL GOOD!
Stone Cold Crazy! Now THAT'S a song to wake up to! No easing into it either.
This is Queen having a good time...and very fun to watch! And, it's true: in great music there ain't no black or white. There's just great music!
“I’m gonna tell you there’s no black and no white!” One vision people!
Whenever im feeling down i watch this video and laugh my ass off. Thank you thank you thank you 🤣💋
This song was written specifically for the movie “Iron Eagle”. Just like AC/DC’s “Who Made Who” was specifically for the Stephen King movie “Maximum Overdrive”
Accttuuaalllyyy it was BEFORE the movie was even made, cannon BOUGHT the rights to the song, this was on the ITS A KIND OF MAGIC ALBUM which was produced BEFORE THE MOVIE. It was their first post live aid album
@@tanguman2 Also songs for the movie highlander
@@user-et5nq1ih6d I was just about to say the whole album It's a Kinda Magic was also the soundtrack for Highlander which was before Legal Eagles. That is one of my all time favorite movies and albums.
@@melissap1575 ummmm actually NO, They did the entire soundtrack to HIGHLANDER then were asked by Russell Mulcahy to write the soundtrack for HIGHLANDER 2 THE QUICKENING. But at that time Freddie was getting more sick so he used songs from the 1986 album and a few Queen wrote SPECIFICALLY for the movie. The movie was released in november 1991 while freddie sadly succumbed to AIDS November 1991 but made a video for the song. It was originally written for first movie but was rejected
@@user-et5nq1ih6d most notably: "Princes Of The Universe" and "Who Wants To Live Forever"
One if my favorite Queen songs!
If you haven’t already, here’s some other Queen suggestions for your reaction that I’d love to see:

Queen; There can only be one! They have an incredible library of music. I love all their music, my fave is Khashoggi’s Ship. Yeah he went to a party on his ship and wrote a song about it.
Dragon Attack. Off The Game.
It's soooooooo funky!
"The Game" is my favorite Queen song
Dragon attack live!
Heck the entire game album is a masterpiece!!
👍
Hi from almost a year later. Just want to say you make me smile. Thank you.
You can blame Freddie’s husband Jim Hutton for the “fried chicken” line. He told Freddie to use it in the song as a joke & Freddie took him seriously! 😂 You should really check out the documentary, which is basically them showing how they went about writing the song and footage from that was used to create this music video.
Freddie wasn't married and never had a husband or wife
@@GilesMcRiker True, they weren't actually married of course but Freddie himself used to refer to Jim as his husband so it's fair enough.
Freddie and the drummers tribute to MLK ....BEAUTIFUL
You should react to the making of " One Vision ".
I JUST LOVED IT!!!! WHAT A COMPILATION!!! Just incredible, enjoyed every minute of it, even the chicken!! What a blast!!
You should check out “ Dragon Attack" by Queen. It's an underrated song, but still good 👌🏻
