Perma-Frost is a safety seal between the viral disasters that were, a long-long time ago and the world that hasnt had to deal with those monsters in sometimes, a millennia or more. And when it finally melts back, it releases all those dormant and deadly virus' again, into the unsuspecting world. A special thank you, goes out to all those med science curiosity seekers who have once more, rereleased some of those monsters into our world.

Nice inspirational video.... I am civil engineering student...I would like to take a paper presentation on preventive measure of this "permafrost" in my college...Would you suggest any ideas? Waiting for reply....
Excellent video. Absolutely impossible to stop this, it is the earth's natural cycle. Only the tiniest chance of slowing it to a measurable degree. So lets enjoy the ride folks.
We hear a lot about melting glaciers, but little about permafrost. You need to get this information out there pretty damn quick before it's too late for everyone.
Bill Nye said, you have to buy fire extinguishers to put out a fire. So pay the 'F'-up, he said. You think these poor brain washed folks praising this video, will even get your sarcasm? By the way, I loved the sarcasm! ...lol!
Climate change has always happened, it's a natural process thats cyclical, there's no such thing as a linear climate, there has always been cold and warm periods but they're over a time period greater than most human observations and modern instrument readings. Anyone who studies modern and ancient history could tell you that from studying societal changes over time. Yes, there is climate change but human made climate change is highly debatable. Until science can completely explain the multitude of glacial and interglacial periods that this planet has experienced over the course of millions of years (which they still can't), then their claim of 'the science is settled' over man made climate change using data from instruments from the last 250 years is quite frankly, ludicrous to say the least. Their long range weather forecasting (which uses the same computer modelling as climate change) can't even predict next winters weather to a high degree, surely that gives you cause for concern?
@@jasonflitcroft2467 by the time they can accurately predict everything it may be too late to reverse the damage human beings are doing. warming and cooling has bean happening a long time this is true but human beings are accelerating the warming. what we can see today is that tornados are getting worse and so is flooding and droughts are getting worse. how much evidence do human beings need before they say ok maybe we are contributing to global warming. were it becomes a real problem is corporations not wanting to regulate much carbon they put into the atmosphere is a real problem. co2 emisions to name one.
human binges are a large part of the problem the co2 emissions are not helping matters. lack of regulations on how much co2 is not helping either. We need more strict regulations on corporations to regulate their carbon footprint
7:20 Maybe its possible to use this gases same way methane is used to generate electricity in landfills. I believe that technology will supress climate changes.....
This video makes a huge mistake in assuming that the heating of the permafrost is from the atmosphere. We know that the Earth's crust is heated from below through geothermal heating. We can see the effect of geothermal heating in the temperature gradient of the Greenland Ice Sheet (GISP II project) and also of Antarctic ice sheets. These ice sheets are heated from below, and not from above. The ice sheet temperatures are warmer at the base than at the top.The same heating exists in the permafrost, they are also being heated from below. To imply that the loss of permafrost is due to increase in atmospheric temperature is to not understand the heat transfer mechanisms that exist.
Also notice there is no mention of the positive effects of increased temperatures and melting of permafrost? 1. Increasing the amount of land available for farming and feeding the world. 2. Extending the growing season and thereby the amount of food grown to feed the world. 3. Increasing the amount of mineral resources available to the world that are currently locked in permafrost. 4. Reducing the amount of energy required to heat homes each winter season> 5. Reducing the number of annual deaths due to hypothermia. Political progressives are conservatives when it comes to climate - they resist change and want the status quo. wake up today thinking about what the hell is permafrost, now im here, glad to meet you man!
Pretty soon I’m going to have to get an external hard drive for my BRAIN

That was my exact hypothetical analogy va what people claim occurs otherwise
I’m reading your comment after Covid-19
And another special thank you to mega corporations for constantly fueling climate change and melting more permafrost
Disease Disaster and Natural Disaster. The Earth naturally reacts to parasites in a way that will hopefully remove them or decrease their numbers.
Thawing permafrost can also unearth ancient viruses and bacterias that can cause serious problem.
Thank you so much, you did my homework easier :)
Beautifully Animated and Explained I wish I had youtube back then 15 years ago as updated as now
Such an informative video. Thanks!!
A comprehensive video on permafrost. Thank you very much. Really helpful for my exams
Good instructions. For permafrost best. Now I understand
How beautifully you explained 😯

Great video. Thank you for sharing. I wonder how much of the existing permafrost has melted over the past century due to increased temperatures.
Awesome and clear-cut video; the animations were amazing. Thank you for sharing.
This is serious. People must listen. We must save this planet! We have only 9 years left until the atmosphere gets set on fire.
Extremely understandable teaching.

It really saddens me to see what human's have done to the planet.
@Breezie Lynn True, but what does that have to do with permafrost?
@@GingerBeard24 It's thawing due to climate change. Humans have not taken care of this planet. That's how I feel and that's my thought on Permafrost.
