Covering this swanky Beatles tune on my 1968 Rickenbacker 365 through an MXR Dynacomp, Strymon Deco and my Marshall JTM45 amp into 210 fender blue alnico speaker cab.
HERSHIE - It is good to see a Rickenbacker guitar alive in 2024- stay with it - stay on it - Lennon is listening with Harrison by his side , love to you from Joe Nania of Nania - Mania
Great cover! Nice Ric as well. :) As a kid I got the "Something New" album for Christmas . Love this song as well as "I'm Happy Just to Dance with You" and "Anytime at All". Lennon could really knock out rhythm guitar.
To me the guitar tone is pretty spot on. I listened to the album version and the guitars are buried more in the mix but what rings out, sure sounds like this here. Also this is a Rickenbacker with the toaster vintage pickups and in the hands of someone who plays it very well. Thank you for your performance.
Awesome tone! I think I have to get a Rick again someday... ^^ Had a 12 string 330 several years ago but sold it unfortunately... Doesn't seem to be too easy to get one again as a lefty but maybe some day ^^
Lovely John Lennon tune that should've gotten more airplay and could've even been released as a single!
I heard Lennon didn't think too much of it,
They recorded it in 11 takes on June 2, 1964 and never played it again.
Love that song. Such a rockin little number…flawlessly played. Well done!
tone is amazing
Absolutely FANTASTIC!! This has been always one of my favorite Beatles songs because of the guitars. And you just renewed my love for this track.
Such a beautiful guitar! And great playing
Nice!! I always loved the rhythm

Very good !!! .
Awesome
You got it!
fantastic cover, John's rhythm playing was really on fire on AHDN. Is your ric burgandy or is that just the lighting?
John is a killer player! Ya it's BurgundyGlo. I think there were like only 9 of them made in 1968
Loved this guitar cover of a Beatles classic so close to the original 👍👍👍🎸😎🎸BB (👍465 )
Very nice cover and great guitar!! New subber!
You have a new subscriber great job. :)
very good, congratulations, keep it up👏

Ya i mean there just is not anything like a rickenbacker! It’s like a completely different instrument than say a Strat
perfect!!❤❤
Good job!
Nice Strumming! Do i hear a little touch of fuzzy distortion tone??
was the rickenbacker plugged into a vox or did you use software to get that tone?
Into a jtm45 with a 210 alnico speaker cabinet. + compression and tape saturation
Красивая кричалка Джона, которой почему то было мало уделено внимания в музыкальных трансляциях...
REAL 1968 Rickenbacker guitar? Or re-issue?
There are no reissues of 1968 Ricks so it must be real 1968.
Nice.
Nice job! You nailed it.
why does that rickenbacker seem large
it cool
It's not the Lennon 325 model. It's the larger 365 model.
