It’s the responsibility of the tour guide or English speaking members in tourist groups, to tell them to behave with respect. This past few days has shown many Chinese groups being so disrespectful to the guards and other tourists waiting patiently for a picture. They are childish in their behaviours and extremely rude and loud. The Airlines should address what is disrespectful and rude behaviour on the way over.

Right? There was a guy in the video a few weeks ago who also got a very nasty arm bite. He was grimacing, but was cool and accepting about it. (And, yes, the horse warned him a couple of times and he ignored it, still smiling for his photo).
I'm glad to see the soldier went to inspect the horse first, it being Military with Official Name and Number. Interesting to see the mount doesn't bite the dismounted Trooper. I'm sure the Trooper went to organize a mouthwash for the mount after it's guard duty period was over.
Some people don’t know what to do and they freeze…..not everyone is equipt to help in situations like that. That’s why not everyone is a cop or firefighter….dont fault them for that.

Could there be several languages on the signs saying “Horses Bite” in Chinese, French, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish or enough languages to cover many countries? Visitors shouldn’t be so close to the horses anyway, but there will always be some who don’t bother to read the signs.

Well that clearly wasn't a reaction to the bite itself but the "shock", a psychological reaction. Lots of tourists are already stressed out when they arrive at Horse Guards, that bite probably gave the lady the rest 😅

You'd be surprised, physical pain can do that to you, I myself have come very close to fainting after slamming my hand in a metal gate or when dislocating a joint (loose joints), placing the head between the legs has stopped me fully passing out thankfully, a trick someone taught me to reduce the chance of going unconscious .
The horse had been warning everyone that got too close. She got too close and suffered the consequences. No sympathy for her or anyone who gets bitten. There’s a big notice board warning. If a dog’s snarling and growling you don’t try to pet it - the horses are no different. Serves her right. Drama queen!

The bites have been getting more frequent due to increasingly clueless tourist behavior, and enough is enough. It would still be nice, imo, to have painted lines around the sentry box with a picture sign indicating tourists need to stay outside the lines for their photo. I guess we'll see what the future brings.

No there’s another video on this channel of the actual bite. It was a solid hold and shake, broke the skin and if it was my arm I’d be getting an X-ray for fracture. At minimum it looked to be very painful.

Gotta be honest - Horses are intuitive as hell. Still have it on video - I was in Texas and rode one when I was 11, they didn't let me know it was a former race horse. I leaned over to pet it while I was on it, buddy took off and I was panicking but awesome experience. I live in Chicago and kinda don't have them around haha However there in the UK, I wouldn't even take a picture or disturb the horse nor guards. Enjoy the experience, not the social media shit you're going to post.

So when the horse TELLS you with ears back, head shaking up and down, (he is not saying, “ hi how ya doing? Glad to meet ya!” He is saying, “Get out of my face or I will bite you”. He gives warnings that go unheeded. I am sorry for the lady, but she brought it upon herself. I hope she is well and recovers quickly. Must learn your lesson to not pet or touch horses that you do not know or own.
I don't buy for one second that they don't understand English. They go to a country that speaks English, has signs written in English; i.e., the warning tourists to beware. But no, they have to flock around the horse seeing that it gives warning signs to the best of its ability to leave it alone, yet they keep trying to grab the reins, hold the guard's boot, and any other number of things they shouldn't be doing, and then they cry and complain about being bitten. What part of this doesn't make any sense? It's not the guard's or horse's fault. It's 100 percent the tourist's fault. I don't feel sorry for their lack of respect.

She’s probably a tourist from China being a drama queen. Sometimes, Chinese people might act like they're badly hurt after a small push to make it seem like all is your fault and gain an advantage, possibly filing a complaint for money.
Ppl act around the horses as if they are things not living beings, like they're moving statues. They approach a huge living being, weighing a ton, and don't even observe them for a couple of seconds to see if they are safe or not. No self preservation at all! The horses signal before the bite every time. Their irritation grows because they feel/notice they are ignored when they communicate. That would drive anyone mad!
Instead of saying “ don’t touch the reins “ maybe “don’t touch the horse”. All those strangers crowding around trying to touch a horse ( especially their nose) can make them nervous. Horses can’t see straight on. Imagine someone coming up behind you unawares and suddenly touching you .
Still 100% on horses side. Not the horses fault. The sign and the horse were warning them to stay away. I hope they recover well, however the horse is not a prop for pictures, it’s a horse for a guard. Not sure what they expected from a guard horse.
When you put yourself in the horse’s space, you risk getting bitten or kicked. When will people learn! Sure, there is a sign there in English, but I bet this person saw that the horse was nipping others before they made their foolish move. You get In a horse’s space, you’re on your own as to what happens!!!
They will continue until the Royal Guards ban this as a tourist attraction. These are guards on duty. The horse is part of it. It is not a petting zoo.

Drama Queen, she wasn't the first person who got very badly bitten. The worst bit goes to the young lady who got bitten on her chest, and she just walked away crying in pain because she knew it was her fault for ignoring the warning sign.
Sorry but I have zero sympathy. Her party was collectively joining in to get a reaction from this horse, they thought it was hilarious to see him snapping and with his ears pinned back. And even after she was bitten the tourists still bait this poor animal.

No there’s another video on this channel of the actual bite. It was a solid hold and shake, broke the skin and if it was my arm I’d be getting an X-ray for fracture. At minimum it looked to be very painful.

Gotta be honest - Horses are intuitive as hell. Still have it on video - I was in Texas and rode one when I was 11, they didn't let me know it was a former race horse. I leaned over to pet it while I was on it, buddy took off and I was panicking but awesome experience. I live in Chicago and kinda don't have them around haha
However there in the UK, I wouldn't even take a picture or disturb the horse nor guards. Enjoy the experience, not the social media shit you're going to post.

People almost get bit, then they giggle and laugh. Then go back, almost get bit, giggle again! So stupid. Then when they do get bit badly, “ ohhh BAD Horse “. “ Mean horse “. “ Bad Guard! “. They give the horse several chances, sometimes they win, sometimes they don’t! They are gambling. So when the horse TELLS you with ears back, head shaking up and down, (he is not saying, “ hi how ya doing? Glad to meet ya!” He is saying, “Get out of my face or I will bite you”. He gives warnings that go unheeded. I am sorry for the lady, but she brought it upon herself. I hope she is well and recovers quickly. Must learn your lesson to not pet or touch horses that you do not know or own.
I don't buy for one second that they don't understand English. They go to a country that speaks English, has signs written in English; i.e., the warning tourists to beware. But no, they have to flock around the horse seeing that it gives warning signs to the best of its ability to leave it alone, yet they keep trying to grab the reins, hold the guard's boot, and any other number of things they shouldn't be doing, and then they cry and complain about being bitten. What part of this doesn't make any sense? It's not the guard's or horse's fault. It's 100 percent the tourist's fault. I don't feel sorry for their lack of respect.

Instead of saying “ don’t touch the reins “ maybe “don’t touch the horse”. All those strangers crowding around trying to touch a horse ( especially their nose) can make them nervous. Horses can’t see straight on. Imagine someone coming up behind you unawares and suddenly touching you .
Still 100% on horses side. Not the horses fault. The sign and the horse were warning them to stay away. I hope they recover well, however the horse is not a prop for pictures, it’s a horse for a guard. Not sure what they expected from a guard horse.

Ive been kicked and sometimes bitten so hard by horses that a massive lump/bruise has appeared. Everytime, my fault. Never the horses. But ive never fainted! Swore with pain though 😂😂 And this horse isn't at fault either. Silly dramatic woman.

Sorry but I have zero sympathy. Her party was collectively joining in to get a reaction from this horse, they thought it was hilarious to see him snapping and with his ears pinned back. And even after she was bitten the tourists still bait this poor animal.
