A two day long #T-10 Cricket #Tournament 2024 under the aegis of Wriggle's Club Kohima got underway at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima on July 13.
Gracing the opening ceremony, Kohima deputy commissioner #Kumar #Ramnikant said that Cricket is gradually gaining popularity in Nagaland too.
DC called upon the players to maintain team spirit, sportsmanship and fair play.
He stressed on the need to respect the opponent in the field, adding that fair play will pay rich dividends in a sports career.
Further, Ramnikant called upon the players to strategize and give their best to excel.
The inaugural function was chaired by #Thejakhrienuo Nakhro while the welcome address was delivered by #Lanusunep
Altogether, 20 teams registered for the tournament, which will continue till July 14.
