Decluttering the Garage, Part 2b, Too Much Teacher Stuff, The “Stuff” Shuffle, My Journey!

- This is my journey to declutter my teacher stuff and stuff in general. I will be retiring in one year and I am looking forward to resetting my eBay business… I’m not quite sure when I transitioned into hoarding. I guess having antique booths (no longer have), collecting teaching resources and books, and selling on eBay has led to this. I’m ready to simplify my life and put a stop to the madness of reshuffling my “stuff” around.
If you missed Part 2a, here is the link:
I’m on the same journey, different stuff though. Enjoyed your video. 💜
There may not be alot of teachers that need the stuff in the garage sale. BUT there is alot of new teachers that would love to have those items. PLUS there is alot a families that home school that could use your stuff. Whatever you are getting rid of will help others and will help you to declutter ❤
Yes, I really want the items to be recycled. They are in great condition so what I don’t sell will go to another teacher. Last summer 2 different teachers were interested in my teaching “stuff.” One was a home school teacher and her father was the one that bought so much stuff for a small donation. I also asked him to come the next day at the end of my garage sale and I donated all of the left over teaching supplies. I received a thank you card months later on Thanksgiving Day. It was taped to my door. What a joy! Anyway it was a win win for all of us. I usually have a goal set for the garage sale money… sometimes I replenish my prizes that I give to my kids aka students. Sometimes I treat myself to a new outfit for work or my husband and I help some of our family members in need. We also donate what doesn’t sell to a thrift store that helps pregnant girls or women and to my sister who is also a teacher so she can resell the items in her thrift booth. 😊
You are doing great in your recycling and it is appreciated ❤❤❤
I've seen worse. At least you're not shutting the door and ignoring it. Little by little you will get it done.
I would volunteer that you set a timeline for what sells on eBay. Drop the listing if it's not selling and move on. The algorithm dictates what's seen by the buyers.
Thank you for the information… You are so correct about the little by little decluttering of stuff. I think I am trying to do too much all at once. I’m rethinking my decluttering strategy but I’m ready to deal with the stuff and not ignore the mess and I’m changing my habits. 😁
@@gatoregidge that's awesome!
Hola que valiente al mostrar
Yo creo que primero debes vaciar el lugar
2 separar en categorías
3 ir depurando cada categoría
4 después guardar con el garaje limpio ...pintado y segmentado en áreas
Gracias
Gracias, por el consejo!
Man wish i could take some stuff off your hands to use during the summer and if decide to do homeschooling
I do too! It would make my decluttering journey so much easier. Thank you for watching!
@@gatoregidge any chance you're in the state of colorado?
@@LaniG4 No, I live in New Mexico. What part of Colorado (general area is okay) do you live in? I know we have to be careful on Social Media.
@@gatoregidge oh shoot pretty far drive we closer to the military bases by the airport
Does the school (s) have a storage area so that some of that stuff you want to donate could be utilized for other teachers?
Unfortunately they do not. We are required to clean our rooms out. I usually sell, donate, and recycle what I can. I have decided to set it aside and will be looking for a new teacher to donate it to at the beginning of the school year.
Completely understand where you’re coming from 🐨🦘🇦🇺
It's crazy how much stuff we accumulate over time.
I’m on the same journey, different stuff though. Enjoyed your video. 💜
Thank you!
