I just started using isometric training into my new style of training it definitely will have you sore fire those fast twitch muscles you never used abs it’s a shock too the body
@@ElleTheScalper I've used isometrics for arm wrestling training for years & personal training. They definitely can be used exclusively. I would recommend yielding and overcoming isometrics if someone were to only do that type of training.
@@ElleTheScalper yeah I don't see why not 🏀 overcoming isometrics might be useful for jumping higher. Also overcoming isometrics like pushing against an immovable object would probably give you more distance with a throw. I would think overcoming isometrics would be better than yielding for basketball 🏀.
@@ElleTheScalper Hell yes. For calisthenics for instance, I would do a minute for push-ups, 30 seconds of regular push-ups and hold it for the rest, I do it for various others, 15 minutes in total. I’m only 1 1/2/2 months, I can do many calisthenics move, even handstand and elbow levers
Man such a insightful discussion on it. Yall are really great
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great podcast keep em coming

So helpful thank you 😊
Listening from Sicily and what sal said about the names is true and had me laughing! Yall are the best!
The isometric exercise that you can do before or after. Can you do both or is that to much?
Thank you for the info 🤞🏽
is it too simple to say the first part of an exercise is concentric? like a curl. would a squat start with eccentric? lowering the weight.
How long do you have to use isometric circuits to build strength
Is isometric good execrises for pec injury and speed recovery?
I believe so from what people are suggesting. Builds the muscles and tendons evenly and stabilizes the structures
Isometric is a great way to find weak points in the muscle and train them.
Is it better for strength or muscle building?
I hope strength
Both, endurance, it really produces strength. Which does build muscle. But low reps at high weight is for building muscle
But you can use high reps for building muscle too
But the main thing for adding muscle is how much food / protein you eat.
Can you discuss Isokinetic training? Thank you.
I always thought eccentric was pronounced "eck-sen-trick"...what's up with all the fitness folk pronouncing it as "eeh-sen-trick"?
Anyone here have a bullworker?
Yes
I had one. Great piece of equipment.
