Can I be strong and athletic using Isometrics only?

@@ElleTheScalper I've used isometrics for arm wrestling training for years & personal training. They definitely can be used exclusively. I would recommend yielding and overcoming isometrics if someone were to only do that type of training.

@@Chris-ui1nh can I use isometrics for better athleticism at basketball?

    • @Chris-ui1nh

@@ElleTheScalper yeah I don't see why not 🏀 overcoming isometrics might be useful for jumping higher. Also overcoming isometrics like pushing against an immovable object would probably give you more distance with a throw. I would think overcoming isometrics would be better than yielding for basketball 🏀.

      @@ElleTheScalper Hell yes.
For calisthenics for instance, I would do a minute for push-ups, 30 seconds of regular push-ups and hold it for the rest, I do it for various others, 15 minutes in total.
I’m only 1 1/2/2 months, I can do many calisthenics move, even handstand and elbow levers

is it too simple to say the first part of an exercise is concentric? like a curl. would a squat start with eccentric? lowering the weight.

Both, endurance, it really produces strength. Which does build muscle. But low reps at high weight is for building muscle

But you can use high reps for building muscle too

But the main thing for adding muscle is how much food / protein you eat.
