Now this was a BIG hive. Over 5 foot long and 16 inches wide. It had 3 full layers of comb, and at least 30,000 bees. We had 3 guys with the name of Steve working on this job as well as Wreck it Ralph, and myself. It went as smooth as silk, and on top of that, Rocket Scientist Steve spotted the queen. It was a really good day. Thanks for watching. God's peace to all. Mr. Ed
If that was a wasp nest I would have left the country.
You would have been looking at my backside because I would have been in front of you running too. Thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
zfa Have you ever been stung by either a Bee, Wasp or Hornet? When I was 14 yrs old me and a friend were walking along a Scottish river near Edinburgh and my mate being in front (he knew where we were going) accidently kicked over a Hornets nest that had somehow got onto the path. They were really pissed! We ran like hell. He got the brunt of the stings as he was first in line both coming and going. I think he got 70 or so stings. I got away with a mere 43 stings. I do not recommend the experience! BEE careful where you put your feet out there in the woods!
Jeff Horchoff I never thought of removing a wall hive like that, and using it to great a bee box hive. Is this a standard practice, when folks have a hive in their wall?
About 14 years ago my mother in-law had an infestation of what was refered to as 'carpenter bees'. I had never heard of those, until then. Are they diffrent than honey bees?
Is there a simple way of telling between them?
I'm pretty sure I have a hive in one of my walls. During the summer, you can hear a buzzing bee sound in that room. And it sounds like it's coming from an outside corner wall. If it is honey bees. Do they do a lot of damage? As I know honey bees are important contributor to the human food supply. And I'm surrounded by farm lands. If they're honey bees. I don't want to disturb them, unless it is necessary.
I'm *extremely* allergic to all types of stings. So I won't get close to anything that buzzes.
I was aghast to see some weren't covered up. Then the guy with his fingers all bandaged at the end. Made me shiver.
zfa wasps nests are holes in ground
mattyy101 They can also be somewhere high.
Is it just me or did anyone immediately notice the song that's in Simply Nailogicals intro?
Marion T I didn't think anyone else would notice!
Put me on that list. Thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
Visio Racer too lol
Is that the same thing as Speed Racer?
The song started playing and I was like "WHERE'S CRISTINE???"
its incredible to see how the bees dont attack them almost like they welcome them to relocate them and allow them to take their beehive away and allow them to suck them up with the vacuum without causing anyone any discomfort by stinging them wow thats amazing. the guy isn't even wearing a bee protection thing on his face. they must like him.
It is through the years of experience I have gained knowledge on the handling of bees. I would not recommend others to follow my example unless they, like me, have been trained. Thanks for watching. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
My Uncle handled the bee situation the best imo.
He took the bees living in his walls, and simply used them to start a life of bee keeping. He's had bees for 20 years now and it all started with bees living in the attic.
Some of the best honey i've tasted due to the wild buckwheat that grows near him. This is the way to handle this, sell the bees to a bee keeper who will give them a good life.
Your Uncle sounds like a man after my own heart, as that is exactly how I started keeping bees. I post these videos, to show just how important bees are to our very survival, and why we should not just kill them out of ignorance. I have been rescuing bees from being needlessly destroyed for over 6 years now, and hope to continue to do so for many more years to come. You were so patient and gentle with queen. That’s probably why Jesus let’s you pick them up so often. Saving the queens.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to watch. Until the next time, God's peace.
Mr. Ed
Awesome video, Now when I tell people that I seen a long hive about 6ft long back in 93 and people laugh I will just tell them to watch this. That was the onle and only time I ever seen a wild hive so big in the UK. Was in an abandoned barn, moved some old scaffold boards that where leaning against a wall inside and there it was. Litterally 6ft of Comb.
I bet that one you got there is even longer? Awesome job saving the bees and finding that awesome queen. Thanks for posting! had to sub after watching this.
The comb on this hive was spectacular! It is not often I come across sheets so large, but it is not uncommon. I love being a bee wrangler. Thanks for subbing and watching......all the way over in the UK. God's peace brother. Mr. Ed
Good job on saving them, probably the most important insect on earth.
2:34 i sure bet that cat's happy he's on that side of the glass!
Thank you for the great video. God's amazing creatures.
It is my pleasure to share my experience about saving bees. I agree 100%, bees are another one of God's amazing creatures. Thanks for watching, and hope you check out more of my bee wrangling adventures on my channel and let me know what you think. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
This happened to my house in Chino Hills. Out of all the houses too.... One particularly hot summer, honey started seeping out of the walls... I tasted it... It was delicious. Then we got rid of the bees. The end.
Great story, to bad the bees were killed, you could have had honey for a really long time. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
Jeff Horchoff oh there weren't killed. We called some bee guy to come get em. Or at least I hope they weren't killed. That was some perfectly good honey they were making.
I’m just going to call you the “Bee President” haha! 😂😃😁
Thank you for your kind words. In truth, I'm just a guy who loves saving bees and sharing the experience. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. God's peace.

It makes me so happy that y'all rescue the bees. I want to make a bee sanctuary one day
I've been saving bees from being destroyed for over 6 years now. I'm happy to do it and share the experience to whoever is interested. Thanks for watching, and I hope you continue to watch and comment as well as seriously consider becoming a bee keeper yourself. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
Jeff Horchoff I will tell yah I love all kinds of bees. Even the cutest carpenter or bumble bees. I wouldn't mind being a bee farmer. I would love to have all sorts of bees, I think they are all very important 😃 like I said thanks for doing this. Not people think of the helpless tiny lives of bees.
You kind of got that Ron Perlman look goin but instead of Hellboy you're bee-man, seriously though, anyone ever tell you that you look a bit like Ron Perlman?
Only once or twice, ok, like about a couple dozen times, but I like the guy. Thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
Thanks and I'm glad you like him, I was afraid when I wrote that comment that you would be like, man I hate that guy. Glad it worked out. :-)
what happened to the taped fingers at the closing of the vid?
That was one of the Steves. He had a bad accident with his table saw 2 weeks ago, but the recovery is coming along VERY nice. No fingers lost, but badly cut. Thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
Best wishes for a speedy recovery for him. Prayers said. Table saws will bite ya. They ALWAYS leave a mark!
I'll let him know your concern. God's peace. Mr. Ed
The cat in the window watching you work was cool .
She was making sure we did a god job. Thanks for watching. God's peace.

Bee comb was discovered inside my home wall and sheetrock was cut to show what the bees had created. What about a hundred still outside on the wall after all is done?
Those are the field bees retuning to the hive. After a few days, they will disperse. Thanks for watching. God's peace.

Come get my bees out of my home!! Lord, I have thousands and thousands that come take up residence inside my house just like this every year!! I hear they been coming for 40 years!!
That is so sad to hear how the bees keep invading your house, but I am sorry to say there is nothing I can do for you, I only do removals within a 35 mile ride from me. I suggest try contacting your county agent and asking if there is a bee keeper that can help you. I wish you and your bees well. Thanks for watching. God's peace.

Idk if I’m more concerned with the bees or the fact that they have no insulation on that outside wall
There were a lot of different issues going on here I agree, but one thing you can rest assuredly on, the bees are now safely relocated to a new home. Dear Jeff, ok, a number of random bees finds its way through a strange passing point to a wall. However, how do all these reproducing bees find a queen to bring her in and set up a viable colony?
There is only 1 reproducing bee in the entire colony, the queen. She enters the wall at the same time the entire swarm moves in. Here is a link to a video I made showing a swarm of bees moving into a house, and the queen is with them as you will see for yourself. Do you eat the honey after
Yes I do. Fresh honey from the comb is probably the best way to eat honey, in my opinion. Thanks for watching, and I hope you continue to watch my bee wrangling adventures and let me know what you think. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
I would've used 5 cans of raid on that
That would have been a workable solution if the only aim was to kill bees. However, the comb would still be in the wall space, and that would start attracting thousands of other insects that want to eat the larva, honey, and comb. I suppose you could set off another 5 cans of Raid and kill those insects also, but by then the smell of the decaying bugs would be pretty bad. How about just call a bee keeper instead, he gets the bees and you get the honey. Now that's a sweet deal. Thanks for watching, and I hope you continue watching all my bee adventures and letting me know your thoughts on them. God's peace.

Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling adventures on my channel and let me know what you think of them. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
Why do you go out of your way to capture the queen separately?
my solution would have been to burn the house down but-
And lose all that good honey, I don't think so. Just call a bee keeper and let him get the bees and you get your house back free from them. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my be wrangling adventures on my channel and let me know what you think of them. God's peace.

Bees have no shame. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling adventures on my channel and let me know what you think of them. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
I’m done I would burn the house down 😂
I post these videos, to show just how important bees are to our very survival, and why we should not just kill them out of ignorance. I have been rescuing bees from being needlessly destroyed for over 8 years now, and hope to continue to do so for many more years to come. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Haley.
Mr. Ed
I though they were roaches lol
Never heard of roaches making honey! Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my be wrangling adventures on my channel and let me know what you think. God's peace.
Mr. Ed

Now THAT'S a lot of bees! Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my be wrangling adventures on my channel and let me know what you think of them. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
It is nice to see the effort taken to relocate such a healthy colony.
I love bees and saving them from being destroyed. Thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
Jeff Horchoff I have a mild phobia of stinging insects, but appreciate the importance of bees and also add my thanks for protecting this important piece of our ecology.
JohnyComeLately Same here.
bees usually aren't that aggressive and do so much for the environment. i'm content at just getting out of a bee's way. red wasp? i'm killing those with 0 remorse.
Yes, bees are one of the main important things for food production - as without them we would have only a few months worth of food to feed humanity on Earth! Many main foods would disappear within months of there being no bees to pollenate plants. Say goodbye to apples, coffee, corn, avocado and others. My main concern was that the way they vacuumed the bees up that the ulk of them would die...
This is why you call out " Hi honey, I'm home!" ;¬)
That's a good one, do you have to say that in bee speak? Thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
Hehe, probably, but I haven't found a dictionary for that yet.
5 Minutes later, I finally got the joke.
LOL!!!!! HAHAHA
:¬D
Did anyone else feel like something was crawling on them, too?
That is a very common condition, trypophobia, I'm sorry you suffered watching. God's peace.
Mr. Ed

Yes! I was itching like a drug addict!

How cool would it be to put a glass window and have a beehive to look at.
That would bee a great idea. Thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
Dog Vlogs yeah, we all thought of it, sure. Just didn't type it out, huh?
rad until someone accidentally smashes the window and you are full with a room of bees
And when was the last time a window was broken in your house?

when did obama get into beekeeping and age 15 years??
15 years ago. Thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
Jeff Horchoff great video Jeff. and great being a good sport about being the Obama look-alike. takes a lot of courage to do what you do. do you ever remove wasp nest?
this mans white
HeresExo it's a white obama
Brazy and become white
Glad that you saved the bees, but if I opened up my wall and found that I think I'd have a panic attack and die or something.
That reaction is pretty much what every homeowner experiences when I show them the bees that are in their house. After they pick their mouths off the floor in disbelief, and steady themselves from the shaking fit, their first words are," I don't believe this"
But after about 4 hours and all the bees and comb are gone, all is back to normal. These bees are doing fantastic in their new home, and next spring we will get honey from them as well as split the hive. Thanks for watching. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
tftm
tbh i would have done the same.. .-.
go back the basement yoonbum
tftm same here but,I would call animal control
tftm same
did anyone else wish they would have done a time lapse of them vacuuming the bees up? or was it just me
The only reason I didn't do a time lapse is because the camera got moved so many times. It still went alright I thought because viewers did get to see the entire removal. This was a really fun one because we had so much help, and the job went so smoothly. Thanks for watching, and I hope you check out more of my channel and let me know what you think. God's peace. Mr. Ed

Not everyone is meant to be a bee keeper, but still you can appreciate the importance of bees and the role they play in our very survival as pollinators. Plus, they make honey. I post these videos, to show just how important bees are to our very survival, and why we should not just kill them out of ignorance. I have been rescuing bees from being needlessly destroyed for over 6 years now, and hope to continue to do so for many more years to come. Mr. Ed
@@JeffHorchoff That probably took WAYYYY to long to write
Impressive! My skin was crawling looking at those bees, don't know how you do it! I had some questions Mr Ed. I'm so curious...
1. How on earth do you located the queen amongst all those bees?
2. Is this a special vacuum? Where do the bees go? Don't they get mad being disturbed?
3. Why aren't you getting stung?
4. When you cut into the honeycomb, do you risk hurting baby bees in there?
5. If you take all the honey, how can their babies eat? Queen eat?
It would be so nice to get some answers to these questions that bug me.
1. Steve found her on this one, he beat me to it. Usually, I see something different and that's how I find her.
2. Yes it is a vac just for bees, low pressure. I will be making a video on it in about 2 weeks after things slow down with the swarms. You are going to have to check that one out. The bees go into a bee box, and yes, they don't like it.
3. I get stung all the time. On this job i was stung at least 4 times, but it won't stop me from doing what I love doing.
4. We trim the comb around the brood as we save all the brood to give back to the bees.
5. We give almost all the honey back to the bees. They need it to survive at this time of the year, so it all goes back. Later, in the summer and fall, I take some and give some to them.
Hope that helps. Thanks for watching, and asking good questions. God's peace. Mr. Ed
Jeff, thank you so much for taking the time to craft a reply. My curiosity could not be contained. I love the idea of making my own honey, have to look into that. Also joining a bee club as you mentioned in another post. Never thought that existed!!
One thing I will mention here... On the D-day beaches of Normandy, France, in the little town of Bayeux, famous for its wool embroidered 'tapestry' and lace-making, was the best honey I have ever tasted. In a small open market, I bought a small jar of honey made locally. Tasted it back in USA, and oh boy! The perfume just lingered on the tongue. It was the flowers out there, you could taste them in the honey. I have to go back again now, 20 yrs later and see why it was so good. Normandy also makes dairy, cheese, cream, butter that is fantastic. The Wisconsin state of France.
Lass-in Angeles Queen is prettier and has longer eyelashes.
Lass-in Angeles If it is something that a person has a passion for. You can bet your sweet bejevis that their is a support group, forum, club, or trade organization that represents it. Especially in the electronic communications age, of world wide instant communication, within any community.
