SHINee is a 5 members OG boy group. 3:47 The one in Blond singing the Rap part with Low tone is Minho. He is the main rapper of the group but he sings too. The second rapper is called Key he is the one wearing the hat, he sings, dances great too, The guy who open the song with the “Uwao” is Taemin he is the youngest and the main dancer you guessed it right he is inspired by Michael Jackson. But he add his own flair to make his move his style. The main vocal you like the voice so much is Jonghyun and another one Onew (he is the leader) both of them has more power and do a lot of the Adlibs at the background as well as the other 3 members sometimes. All their voices blend so well together with the sprinkle of Jonghyun’s & Onew’s adlibs. SHINee music really something not to be listened just once you might need many times to catch all the tricks and harmonies, adlibs, riffs, etc. thank you for appreciating our boy SHINee always 5.
I totally agree, you need to listen to it many times to discover all the diamonds in there. I'm a fan for almost 7 years and sometimes I still listen to some parts and I'm like "Wait! I haven't heard it before, how haven't I heard it before?"

The one you fell in love with is Jonghyun, one of the absolute best vocalists in the industry. That high note at the end is done by both Jonghyun and Onew (also an EPIC vocalist) and the falsetto high note that follows that adlib is done by Onew. SHINee has 5 members, but if I remember correctly, Onew had some injury that prevented him from dancing in the mv. The one who opened the song was Taemin, and he is actually coined as the Korean Michael Jackson by many. He is a revered dancer in the industry and was greatly influenced by MJ.

Shinee are known as the Princes of Kpop and have been around for a long time. They are universally respected by the younger stars and many of today's idols have covered their songs. They can do just about anything. Their most recent hits are Don't Call Me and Atlantis. They also have solo careers. Shinee Taemin is known as the MJ of Korea. His most recent song is called Advice. Shinee Key has a current hit called Bad Love. They always try new things but they have a very distinct sound. They are all amazing.

Here are some fun facts about SHINee's "1 of 1" MV: "1 of 1" came out in 2016 and it is the title track on SHINee's 5th full length Korean album. SHINee debuted on May 25, 2008, (5/25). In this MV there were 25 girls. So, 5 members + 25 girls = 5/25. All the girls in this MV are models, so if you notice, they don't really dance, and most of the girls are taller than the SHINee members LOL -- but that's OK because it fits the theme of the MV well. In the '90s often the girls that were featured in the MVs were well known models and actresses, not backup dancers. The MV was supposed to have that slightly awkward, unpolished look and feel to it because it was part of the retro aesthetic. The quality of the video was on point with exactly how MVs were made in the '90s. Everything in this MV was done very deliberately to make it look and feel like it came straight out of the '90s. I can't remember which it was, but either the time stamp on the MV or the time stamp on the song is exactly 5:25 as well.
As you can see, this MV and the whole album is meant to have a very retro '90s vibe. As someone who was a teenager in the '90s, I can attest to the fact that this is so perfect. Everything, from the look of the set with the all white background to the clothes everyone wore, to their dance moves, to the video editing and the sound of the song, was all '90s. They even released some of their albums on cassette tape as part of a limited collector's edition to further celebrate the '90s theme.
SHINee (pronounced Shiny -- as in shiny diamonds or shiny stars -- their name has a double ee to show just how brilliant they shine) are just doing what we have all come to expect from them -- starting a new trend. With every new song release, SHINee are expected to come out with a style and sound that is brand new, not only for them, but in the industry as a whole. And that is exactly what they did by being one of the first to take on a retro concept with this song and album.
What you just experienced is exactly what makes SHINee legends. And this is the reason why they are so highly respected, and why almost everyone in the industry who came after them cites them as one of their biggest influences and one of the reasons why they wanted to become a singer and dancer, etc.
SHINee are one of the most iconic and influential groups. They are always setting trends, never following them. SHINee where designed to be SM Entertainment's experimental boy group, so everything they do is meant to be the first and they are expected to set the trend. With every new song SHINee produces it's expected to be different than the last, so you will never hear the same style or sound from them in any of their songs, even on the same album, and yet, somehow it will always sound like SHINee.
The industry looks to SHINee to show them what the next song style and dance trend will be. And it is said that within 3 months of SHINee releasing their new song and choreography, you will see that same sound and style being duplicated across the industry with every comeback to follow from both boy groups and girl groups. When SHINee does something the industry takes note and follows suit. SHINee has started the trend with almost everything -- with every one of their songs to their dances to clothing trends, to live performances, to the way Kpop is promoted -- there is almost nothing that can't be attributed to something SHINee has been involved in.
You just discovered why SHINee still holds one of the top spots after more than 13 years in the industry. If you are impressed now, just wait until you go through their entire discography of songs and MVs. So far, they have 13 full-length albums (7 Korean albums and 6 Japanese albums), several repackaged albums, a multitude of mini albums, numerous OSTS, they each have solo songs and albums and there are hundreds of live performances that will absolutely leave you speechless with their talent. And it only gets more and more impressive as you follow them through their career. They have accomplished a lot in the past 13+ years and they are one of the groups that made Kpop what it is today. However, if you want to see where SHINee truly shines, you have to see their live performances.
SHINee are part of the second generation of Kpop and, yet, they are younger than most everyone in their generation and are the same age or even younger than many members of groups who came after them, such as EXO and BTS, etc. which are part of Kpop's third generation. SHINee debuted young and have the experience of seasoned veterans.
When SHINee debuted in 2008, Onew (the leader and lead vocalist) was 18, Jonghyun (the main vocalist and songwriter) had just turned 18, Minho (the main rapper and sub-vocalist) and Key (lead vocalist and sub-rapper) were 16 and Taemin (Main dancer and lead vocalist) was 14, so now they are all in their late 20s and early 30s. (Onew turned 31 last December.) SHINee are some of the most well respected artists in the industry.
Onew (pronounced Oh-New, real name Lee JinKi) -- the one in red -- sprained his ankle in concert right before they started promoting for this album and he was unable to dance, so that's why you see him sitting down the whole time in this MV, and why there are only 4 of them in the dance breaks. He has one of the most unique and best voices in the industry. (Onew means, or sounds like, the Korean words for soft or gentle, so he was given his stage name because he has a very calm and gentle personality.) His vocals are unmatched. He even holds the record (40+ seconds) for the longest continuous note without changing tone or pitch, etc.
Jonghyun -- the one in blue -- is known as one of the best vocalist in Kpop who was one of the most prolific songwriters and composers of his generation. Jonghyun wrote and composed almost 40% of SHINee's songs, plus he wrote all of his own solo songs and numerous songs for other artists. He was one of the only SM artists to be given complete artistic control over his work, including several of SHINee's song selections. SM knew that if Jonghyun was involved in any way that the song would be a hit. He was extremely respected within the industry as a songwriter, composer and singer. He was one of the very first Idols to be known for his songwriting and composing skills, and he was the first of SM's artists to have a fully self-wrote album. As the main vocalist, Jonghyun is the one you hear with all the amazing high notes and R&B runs and ad libs most of the time.
Key -- the one with the brown suit -- is our fashionista of the group who is SHINee's stylist for a lot of their MVs and stage outfits. He was the one that chose the group's outfits in "1 of 1." SHINee are known for setting trends and never being afraid to experiment, so Key is known for really paying attention to detail when it comes to fashion. He is an amazing singer and is a sub-rapper in the group. He is also known as SHINee's dance copy machine. Key has the ability to see and remember choreography the fastest in the group. He only needs to watch the dance once and he has it memorized. He is also SHINee's fluent English speaker, and he is almost as good as a native speaker.
Minho -- the one in black -- is the main rapper and visual of the group, but his vocals are also some of the best in the industry. Minho sings just as much as he raps. He also writes most of his own raps in SHINee's songs. Minho is one of the top actors in the industry and he has starred in numerous dramas and movies. Minho is also known as a top athlete. He says these days he goes to the gym a couple of times a day to work out just because he likes to work out, but he is also crazy about soccer, and he plays basketball, baseball and golf, and he is good at track and field events, etc., as well. And not only does he enjoy playing all those sports, but he is usually the best athlete on the field and he pretty much wins every time. There is a reason why Minho's nickname is "Flaming Charisma," and one reason is for his intense passion for sports and his need to always win.
And, Taemin -- the one in yellow -- is considered one of THE BEST dancers in the industry, and that's not just by fans but by everyone in the industry, including his peers. Taemin's nickname is the Korean Michael Jackson. He is also one of the most popular solo artists in the industry and he is a member of the Kpop supergroup SuperM. Taemin truly is art when it comes to his performances.
SHINee are one of the top groups that are known for the fact that they all can do it all. They are a group of 5 amazing vocalists, 5 impressive dancers, 5 visuals, 5 rappers, 5 top actors, and 5 of the most talented and unique voices in all of Kpop. Once you get to know their voices you will always be able to pick them out of a crowd just by the sound of their voice. Most fans will tell you we know who is speaking or singing within 1 second even with our eyes closed, with them standing in a crowd of screaming fans. Each of their voices are that unique -- there is no one with a voice like any of theirs. That is why they are "The Princes of Kpop".
SHINee are known for their live vocals and amazing dancing. They are known as CD-quality singers because they sound just as good live, if not better, than they do recorded. SHINee always sings live. The ONLY thing they are not good at is lip syncing so they avoid it at all costs, so when you hear SHINee singing 95% of the time it will be live. They have trained their entire career to be able to sing live and sound flawless while performing extremely complex choreography for more than 3 hours straight. SHINee set the standard when it comes to live performances. That is why they are so highly respected among their peers. It is literally referred to as the SHINee standard. It's the standard all other groups strive to reach.

Hello! Thanks for your reaction, I loved it! There are 5 members in SHINee and they are inspired by MJ in a lot of their songs. At 1:25, that's Taemin who is the youngest and probably the most heavily inspired by MJ especially in his own solo work. At 1:46, that's Key who also does a lot of styling for the members. At 1:55, that's the leader Onew (pronounced "oh-new") and he's also the eldest of the group. At 2:12, the one that you extra loved the singing voice of, is the late Jonghyun. He was truly an amazing performer, singer, writer, composer, producer, dancer, etc. And last but not least, at 3:30, we have Minho, he's well known for his visuals.

This song has a late 80's 90's R&B feel, Bobby Brown, Bell Biv Devoe. I love it. They even got the look of that era in the MV.
Producer of Shinee, 'Yoo Young Jin' used to be an R&B singer, back in '90s. He performed with Boyz II men when they came to Korea. He also teaches singing for the SM artists. So that is why many SM artists' vocal has R&B feel to them.

Considering how much you loved this song, I feel like you'd also really enjoy one of their Japanese single called "Your Number". And look for the dance version of the MV so that you can get the full Shinee experience.
Five of the best vocalists in K-pop in one group - that's Shinee, and yes, every member does everything - sing, dance, rap, visuals, songwriting, (I could go on and on.... ) There are plenty of intro videos out there if you would like to get to know more about these legends. But for now, here they are in order of appearance in the MV:
Taemin - black and red argyle sweater, Michael Jackson vibe (and yes, he's a huge MIchael Jackson fan)
Key - glasses and white bucket hat, blue blazer. He just released a mini album called Bad Love - highly recommended to check it out!
Onew - red leather jacket. He was injured at the time of MV filming so he's mostly sitting down. One of the most distinct and beautiful voices in the entire music industry. He sang a cover of Nessum Dorma - yes *that* Nessum Dorma
Jonghyun - denim jacket, blue and red suit. Your favourite! And yes, he's the one hitting those impeccable high notes. He has written over 100 songs both for Shinee and for other Kpop artists.
Minho - blonde hair, rapper and vocalist and also one of the main songwriters in the group. He's also a Kdrama actor.
Their live performances are even MUCH better, but to start off, I'd highly recommend the following songs -

Another SHINee song I recommend that’s different from the usual recommendations is Tell Me What To Do.

SHINee are the best :) Taemin, the main dancer, indeed said many times that Michael Jackson was his inspiration. The guy whose voice you loved the most is Jonghyun, the main singer. The other main singer and the leader is Onew (red suit), who wasn't dancing in this video because of a leg injury. I believe that he was the one you asked about when he was singing in the background. There is also Key (with glasses in this MV), who is a great singer, dancer and rapper and Minho (he has blond hair here), the main rapper and visual :)
