OMG, I just watched the whole thing. I left Croydon in 1992, after living in Anerley, Thornton Heath and Purley. This was like a trip down memory lane.... and then you drove right to my old school. Sydenham High GDST. Thanks!
I was born & raised in the surrey/sussex area & would often travel into Croydon & London my whole life until moving to the USA, where I lived for donkeys years. I have since moved back but reading the comments here by others; I am reminded how much I missed all these places when I was not here. Plenty of things of the past that I miss, from Beanos record shop to the Deep Pan Pizza Co. & other places, as well as people, who are no longer with us, but I also believe their is still plenty to enjoy now, some of which I will miss years from now when it is gone, but I too believe there is still plenty of great things to come too.
Hopefully coming over from the US this coming summer. Have a friend from my college (uni) days who lives in Croydon. Will be my third time to London. Haven’t been there since the late 90’s. Do miss it. Btw, what was all the dinging from? GPS?
That was a trip down memory lane, I go back to Croydon once a year for my nostalgia hit, haven't lived there for nearly 30 years, What sort of camera is that and how is t mounted it's astoundingly steady .
In 1970 when I moved to Coulsdon it was a super nice town.. Great shops and lovely people. Now it isn't... Last time I drove through it in 2016 I counted 17 take aways in the high street...they pulled down the Red Lion and closed all the shops... Once it went from Croydon Borough to Greater London it became a satellite shit hole... I left in 1984....

As the saying goes! When a man is tired of London he moves to Croydon! ; - )
