    It could totally be possible to erase a bad memory, by ionizing neurons at micron scales with a modified Gamma Knife machine, and using the new INUMAC MRI machine to see the activity in the brain, The INUMAC MRI can see activity 1000 neurons small, and can see changes happening in the at brain 1/10th a second. X-Rays could also be used to ionize the groups of neurons that hold bad memories.
    I think this could totally be done today, and people could be erasing their bad memories away to be happier.😊

    I'd pay OBSCENE amounts of money to have my memory completely wiped clean of ever having met that one person.
    Potentially dangerous side effects, you say? "Meh", I say.

    This could be very helpful if used selectively. We already try to deal with bad memories by drinking or doing drugs, and some memories are just so painful they are beyond people's capacity to handle, so this might be a good tool to have available. Anyway, it isn't a question of if but when, now.

      With this you comment you show you are ignorant and clearly you don't know what you are talking about. For sure you never had true trauma in your life, for a exemple an assault or just something serious that activated your animal brain and then create a trauma memory. A trauma memory truly destroys your life, your brain fires up at irrational things that are not even dangerous and not necessary, this automatic brain reaction is to say at least incapacitating and ruins your life. You involuntary have fury about reminders of the event and other symptoms, like I do. I would definetly be better in life without a specific memory, much more productive and happy, like before. And actually prevent me from dying in suffering.

    Artificially altering or removing memories is loaded with possible complications as u mentioned - far better to take responsibility for your mental health and use less invasive psychological techniques such as hypnotic regression or emotional release - I have used the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to erase emotional trauma and it works.

    • @Puya008
      @Puya008 4 роки тому

      If those methods work, then it would be more then great. But I don't know if it works for all people, it would also be good to have a technology like this in case we need it. I too have a very traumatic memory and I want to release all the energy from the event. Your comment is old, but if you see it can you please tell me what helped you more, the hypnosis or the EFT method you mentioned? It freed you from PTSD completely? I hope it can work for me too
