This was one crazy video to watch. I grew up on Greenleaf and Putnam st. Then after highschool I moved to hacienda heights on stimpson and la monde. You basically just filmed my exact drive to Whittier! And I remember so much of this like Hollywood video and those Whittier transits! So awesome man thank you for this. If you have more vids of Whittier back then please share!
Started my job as a delivery driver in Nov of '98 for a company in Santa Fe Springs(city adjacent to Whittier) thus, frequenting those streets in the video. Was a lifelong resident of metro L.A. from 1968-2014 when i then moved to Whittier where I currently reside. Very cool footage there!📽👍👍
i’m 22, i was born in 1998. it’s crazy too see how much has stayed the same here in whittier. but obviously a lot has changed lol ! but one thing for sure is this camera man sucks ! 😂 still greatly appreciative for this footage though. thank you !! 😌😊
Hard to believe that the buildings at The Quad are identical. It's really been just over 20 years that they rebuilt it. Even the olive garden restaurant is there still.
I recorded this when I was in my 20s. My friend and I were out for a drive and were having fun. (note: this is why there is no audio.) Back then, I didn't think that anyone would ever see this video. Nor could I have predicted that I would one day upload this footage to a website where everyone in the world could have an opportunity to critique my footage. when I ran across this video, I felt that the nostalgia was too good not to share. So in short, if its hard for you to watch, don't.

you're welcome. I'm very glad you enjoyed it.
I lived on Putnam too in the 90s early 2000s. The 2 story house with the big front yard . Right in front of the church . What a time !!
No bums on the road.... Amazing.

I used to live in spy glass hills until 1998. It looks the same now. Thank you for the video.
