@@1stCallipostle Grind was a requirement pretty much exclusively for competitive for like the very early games since back then, EVs were purely gotten from battling the right pokemon. Outside that, grind is only if you're getting your ass kicked or have a terminal case of skill issues

I was there. Chat absolutely went wild and Kaela couldn't believe it herself, thinking she was dreaming again.

Watching them At the same time was quite fun. Miko-chi was practicing her "Suprise" when she get pink fuecoco while Kaela-chan was not expecting to get it while grinding yet get it. What a way to motivate in life LOL!

It didn't take Kaela that long, but according to her she hasn't really splept for 3 days just for the grind (set her alarm every 10-15 minutes). That's another form of hardcore grind.

Incidentally, Fubuki has a weird sort of luck. She gets all sorts of good luck except when looking for Shiny Magikarp, at least when she’s looking for one.
Like, she didn’t take too many tries to get Shiny Chimchar or Shiny Shinx in BDSP, then took over a month to get Shiny Magikarp, during which she actually got the much rarer Pokérus, then got Shiny Gastly in a not-so-unreasonable amount of time, then got another Shiny Magikarp while looking for Shiny Feebas.
Then, in SV, she gets two Shinies without even trying, then takes a while to get Shiny Magikarp, during which she actually found three other Shinies (including one that has a low encounter rate to begin with), then took even longer to get a 2nd Shiny Magikarp while looking for it, only to immediately encounter a 3rd.
She’s got some crazy luck.

The craziest part abour Kaela’s Shiny is that it’s a female. If you didn’t know, Starter pokemon, for whatever reason, only has a 1 in 8 chance of being female. Meaning not only did Kaela get a shiny. She got a female shiny.
