I found that in real life, he got arrested for buying and selling 10,000 substance pills (don't know what type) and would spend up to 20 years in prison ... :( very shocking discovery
Radon wasn't killed during the riots. He injured his arm at the end of season 2 and Coach Daniels briefly mentions it in season 3 that Radon's arm is still messed up, As for the song at the beginning, it's "How the Mighty Fall" by the Counterfeit Junkies.
