Your comb is beautiful . Ever since I went to Hawaii I have loved wearing flowers in my hair . Thank you for showing me a new way to wear flowers in my hair again . You’ve inspired me
Would you include what you did to cover the back/ what it ended up looking like? I only noticed the front that got covered but I’m not sure how you would cover the card on the back just the same green leaves?
Can you pls tell me when using yr method on a comb or on a hairband, shal I put them in a fridge afterwards,as I will be doing them two days before, and better to cover them in a paper,or tissue? Tks
You could totally use hot glue for dried flowers. The hot glue can burn and wilt fresh flowers but dried are already… not alive? Ha! Hope that makes sense! It is a bit easier to use.
What size comb goes best in front of a bun high up on the head? Also how do you get the comb to stay if you are dancing or moving your head around a lot. Also the floral glue?
Hi! So you may want to do a test run but this is just a standard hair comb (you can use plastic or metal). They do have various sizes, but again that will be up to you and your preference. I typically suggest to keep the comb in place by using bobby pins, talk with your hair stylist or do a text run with just the comb to get a feel for comfort and the scale you want it at. The floral glue is Oasis Floral Adhesive. :)
I’m going to a mountaintop wedding in late august and my dress is a burgundy color and is short and lacy. What flowers/colors do you recommend?? I was going to do classic roses and baby’s breath and maybe eucalyptus but my mom said that wouldn’t be a good idea because there’s a good chance the brides bouquet would be roses and baby’s breath. Is that ok?? My hair is an auburn color that is curly and goes down to my waist. I was planning on doing a loose half up half down idk if that’s important
I use Oasis Floral Adhesive, (note it can be a bit runny at first, but it works like rubber cement as in it bonds to itself.) so just go slow and let it set up! good luck and let me know if you have any more questions!
This is beautiful! Does hot glue work just as well for silk flowers? Or is the oasis glue a more permanent hold for artificial flowers as well? Thanks!
I really liked how you started out with the hot glue gun but wasn’t sure why you just didn’t continue to use that in stead of the tube of glue?🤔🤷🏻♀️ I will 'pick' through some of your ideas because you had some interesting points👍🏼
Lots of corsages are placed in coolers or refrigerated. Hot glue does not expand and contract with temperature and can become brittle and the flowers can come off the base (learned this early on when the corsages fell apart at a wedding). I did my research and used cold floral adhesive ever since.
If you mean the back of the business card you can either paint it green cover it in floral tape before hand or glue the biggest leaves under the card instead on top of it. I recommend floral tape and gluing the leaves to the back. I’m pretty sure you won’t be able to see it but that should work if you’re really worried
Hello thanks for such an informative tutorial. I was just wondering would the same method work for dried real flowers? Or if you have any tips for working with this material? :)
Absolutely! You just won’t use wet foam. But I’m not well versed in silks but the approach would be the same! And you could do it way ahead of time to work through any issues!
@@BloomCultureFlowers Great Video! What's the difference between using the floral adhesive versus the hot glue when adding the flowers? Does the floral adhesive dry clearer than the hot glue?
@@amandaeisman6978 Thanks! The difference is in how they dry and how they affect the flowers. Hot glue can burn product making it wilt faster, also if you put hot glue in a fridge, the natural product will contract and pull away from the glue, I've actually had this happen and my combs have fallen apart. The floral adhesive acts more like a rubber cement in that it is flexible and it adheres to itself. You treat the comb and the floral and they stick together. It's also more flexible and more forgiving with the flowers/greenery. If you put it in a cooler/fridge it will move with the product as it contracts but it won't separate from it. Whew! That was a mouthful! I hope that answered your question! Oh, and no it does not dry clearer than the hot glue, it just dries differently and I've found it to be less bulky,

Gorgeous!
This is such an incredibly helpful tutorial! Thank you! Can't wait to do my trial and then fingers crossed will work for the real deal wedding day!
This is so adorable!!
Thank you!
It's really awesome.
I wanna know what is used at last to stay the natural flowers as fresh as it's bloom
We used the wet floral foam so the flowers could get some hydration from that.
Thank you. So inspiring.

I usually don’t make Them more than 24 hours before the event and put them in fridge and cover them gently with a damp paper towel.
Beautiful❤
Thank you for this helpful video. Would you also recommend the oasis flower adhesive with dried flowers?

@@BloomCultureFlowersOk, great! Thank you for your quick response. Yes, it makes sense :D
Love it ❤️
If a wedding is Saturday evening on the beach, when would you recommend making the floral comb?
I would recommend (if you have time) that morning but the night before and placed in the fridge overnight should be just fine!
Hey I'm from India.. Can you please tell me where do we get these flowers
Hi, how long the flowers stay fresh? Looking good?

How far in advance of use would you make something like this? Do you spray with water to keep them fresh?
I make the day before or the day of the event. And usually lay a damp paper towel over the top if I keep it in the fridge.
How different would the process be for a headband?
Well, it depends on the type of headband but I think this method could certainly work! Just take into account the backing needs to bend.
Please make this type of flowers
What kind of glue do you use for it? Thanks a lot

Hot glue is perfect for faux flowers
That's was easy...

Could you use fake flowers ?
You can 100% use fake flowers! if you do you can use a hot glue gun too :)

Are those real or fake flowers?
Real, but im sure this could also be done with fake!
Can i use the artificial flower instead of real?
Of course you can! They may lay a bit differently but will be gorgeous, and you can use hot glue for artificial!
TYSM for replying. I will do it today for a party
