JB deserves it over Booker but Nike needs to push Booker’s shoes that flopped

Grant hill did say that this was the first time he has ever spoken with D White about USA basketball the night he asked him to join after Kawhi went down. So.... still a slap in the face to take 3 celtics players and not one is JB. could have selected any number of role players with USA basketball ties than his teammate. And D White is a great player in his own right, it just now seems spiteful in lieu of the initial snub by taking jrue as the 2nd celtic.
White is a perfect fit for this roster. You got enough stars on this roster already. You need guys that don't mind doing the dirty work which both White and Holiday fit that

Derrick white is a fine addition to this roster, i totally agree.But i dont agree with the decision with him over JB to replace kawhi leonard. there are 20 other players in the league you could have taken to be a glue guy without having to take another celtic not named JB. And now they getting the drama

It's not about swapping star power for star power. Kahwi fit this team USAs system, he can do everything on the basketball court when healthy, on both ends of the court. Jaylen wouldn't replace that, he would just add another ball dominant star that would always be looking to take players in isolation. That works on the Celtics, when it's mainly him and jayson. Team USA doesn't need that. White's off ball movement, catch and shoot ability and fast and smart decision making are far far more valuable to this kind of a team.
@@brianerisca6822jaylen is a good, strong physical defender best on wings. This team doesn't need another defender like that (Kawhi is different, he is a far better guard defender than Jaylen). Derrick White is a far better guard defender, something this team needs more of considering the negative defenders that Steph, Haliburton and Booker are. On top of that White is much smarter defender who is a much better team defender who always makes the right read.

What people don't want to say, is that similar to the original dream team, the us makes it a marketing move, not just a basketball move. The 92' team had a way after his prime Larry bird. There are players who are ro big of a name to not include: LeBron, curry, Durant. But guess what? None of them are lockdown defenders at this point. So you need guys like jrue and white. And of kawhai was healthy, he would fit the role too.
Kawi was not a role player so why bring back a role player.

Derrick White is the ultimate glue guy, a better catch a shoot 3 pikt shooter and a better and quicker decision maker than Brown. Not to mention White being far more impactful without the ball than Brown. Much better fit on team usa.

Dave Mcmenamin is full s--- period. Jalen Brown and Kyrie Irving are fully deserving of being on team USA. Grant Hill is a disappointment. I'm not watching team USA games. As usual your reporting is bought and paid for.
