i know they were bad but in this video, you can see it is kinda sluggish, not all that responsive, and if it actually got hit im sure they made it so it just exploded

The 'Ostfront' was a low level air war. Typically most engagements lower than 4000m in close support of the ground troops. When precision bombing a bridge in 10/10ths snowstorm/cloud on a dark day for example, it is impossible to see the bridge at 8000m+, so you bring it down to 150m and drop the bombs on a 1s delay and hope the bridge isn't covered with alert flak gunners and there are no Soviet fighters circling above it. It was shit being a He111 pilot on the Eastern front.

Victor Malych Ah! Well i'm still trying to get my Il2 COD to work on 8.1 because i bought it on steam when it came out and i have not played it once so far. Apparently i'm trying to download some patches from a modding group so fingers crossed it should work.
parkourperson28 Yeah. Although the 4.0 patch is downloadable but has a bug in it. This means i can only download and install up to the 3.0 mini patch. Then after attempting to extract and install the 4.0 it simply comea up with a error message in both WINRAR and 7Zip. However trying to install the 4.01?? Patch or whatever it is tells me that i need to install the last update. Which is the one that gives me the errors.

You severely underestimate the amount of projectiles the guns could put forth in that short interval of time. The combined RPM of all guns was over 2500 and it meant the ability to pump almost 3 kg of lead into an enemy every second. The "couple of rounds" could have been 20+ hits.

Such a DISAPOINTMENT this game....... I wanted to buy it so much. I will, when its half price or 75% off but thats it. I would have expected something of a great campaign especially with the team involved.... :/
I bought almost all the planes for really cheap during a good sale, and i'm having a blast! I imagine though that the game wasn't the same 4 years ago. Perhaps you should give it a try once more!

Because the leader LaGG-3 killed the rear gunner, and the second set fire to the engines of the German bomber ...

Yes. The He111-H16 model had 3x 20mm guns which gave it some 'bristle' and deterred the most determined from dying for the Rodina
