I don't hate him . I had love and hate realtionship with him ..
His love was selfish he never wanted to share her with anyone else . Well after they settled in Qin , all the games openly were playing .I think as a couple when they were in zoao they were soo good .

When she said this she thought they would be pretend couple to get out of trouble and have each other as support, But they fell in love later and had a kid so this statement became invalid, And he never got rid of his concubines for Haolan he got rid of them because he didn't want to share his bed with enemies daughters who were offered to him as concubines as they were there not as his wives but spies for their families.

Only thing I don’t like about this scene is the stupidity and disregard of Haolan.. sure guard was trying to report the murder what he saw.. he should’ve not told anyone or left then. She then HAD to drag him out to what get him in trouble.. what are you naïve girl? The Princess is a spoiled brat.
This is Zhao Royals.. they are corrupt and psychopaths. Your life is meaningless to them. His story holds zero weight and you got no proof.
