This album was recorded in my studio "Pennine Sound Studios", Oldham and I engineered all the sessions..haven't heard it since it was recorded late '82 I think but remember the sessions very well! Everything sounds to be playing a touch fast and higher pitch so maybe it is off a cassette..worked quite a lot with the Dooleys and had some good laughs and very late night sessions..nice people. Only wish I kept a good 15ips copy. Glad you took the trouble to upload it.
Would love to hear more about the sessions and your thoughts!
Hi Paul. Great to read your memories of this album, and would love to hear more :-) All of The Dooleys albums prior to 'In Car Stereo' are available on cd. On 'The Dooleys - Chosen Few' Facebook group I run, a lot of the members are desperate for a CD release of this album. Any idea on how we could make this happen ???
Good to hear this. I played bass on it. Steve Gilbert played drums.
Fantastic album I was and still am a massive fan of The Dooley’s got this on vinyl wish it was out on CD would love a Dooley’s Reunion 🤞
Anne, Bob and Helen relocated to South Africa on leaving the group. They still perform as Shiraz and are behind many stage shows locally. In 2006, they got together for a picnic concert at a local nature reserve where 7 of the 8 group members reunited (Drummer Alan Bogan could not make it, so younger brother Gerry Dooley played drums) performing 3 of their chart hits. Very enjoyable day :-)
Fuckin AWESOME the Dooleys best album ever..can't dance flavour of the month casualty put me on ice and late at night are the best tracks..this album cost me a fortune to buy from Japan..worth every penny
Thanks for sharing this album in its entirety.
Song #3 "Wherever you're Going" was sung by the dutch duo "Maywood", too.

Pity its too fast. Sounds quite odd. Really needs a re-release on CD or download. Who has a cassette player these days?

ive been trying to get this lp where can I get a copy????
Only cassette was released because of the title.
Try Discogs or Ebay for a Japanese LP release. I got mine through the old fan club many, many years ago.
ОК !
