It surprises me how people can even debate on this because it seems pretty simple when you read the gospel accounts that they had to get Jesus off the cross before Sabbath and obviously they crucified him during the daylight so the next day must be When the Sun Goes Down. It just blows my mind that anyone argues against evening in the evening

“And it came to be, in the morning watch, that יהוה looked down upon the army of the Mitsrites through the column of fire and cloud, and He brought the army of the Mitsrites into confusion. And He took off their chariot wheels, so that they drove them with difficulty. And the Mitsrites said, “Let us flee from the face of Yisra’ĕl, for יהוה fights for them against the Mitsrites.” Then יהוה said to Mosheh, “Stretch out your hand over the sea, and let the waters come back upon the Mitsrites, on their chariots, and on their horsemen.” And Mosheh stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its usual flow, at the break of day, with the Mitsrites fleeing into it. Thus יהוה overthrew the Mitsrites in the midst of the sea, and the waters returned and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the army of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them, and not even one was left of them.”

“Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came early to the tomb, while it was still dark, and saw the stone already taken away from the tomb. … So when it was evening [ὄψιος] on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, ‘Peace be with you.’” (John 20:1, 19 NASB 1995)
“Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn [ἐπιφώσκω] toward the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to look at the grave.” (Matt. 28:1 NASB 1995)
“When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, so that they might come and anoint Him. Very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen.” (Mark 16:1-2 NASB 1995)
“It was the preparation day, and the Sabbath was about to begin [ἐπιφώσκω]. Now the women who had come with Him out of Galilee followed, and saw the tomb and how His body was laid. Then they returned and prepared spices and perfumes. And on the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment. But on the first day of the week, at early dawn [ὄρθρος], they came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared.” (Luke 23:54-24:1 NASB 1995)
The phrase in Luke 23:54 translated “was about to begin” comes from the Greek word ἐπιφώσκω epiphṓskō (epi = “upon, over” or “denoting accession, coming or drawing toward” + phosko = “to shine”). And that word is also used in Matt. 28:1 “began to dawn.”
Did the translators mangle Luke 23:54? The Complete Word Study Dictionary: New Testament makes a great observation about the selection of “begin” versus “dawn”:

@@JoRandle exactly the Hebrew reads the same
Evening then morning (conclusion of the day given)
Meaning the biblical day starts and ends from morning to morning. That’s why each day ends at morning because the next day begins. Hence God created during the morning and noon time til the evening, he stops creating at evening and lets the entire night pass until the morning when he starts creating again.

You are reading Genesis incorrectly, hear me out. The day starts with Yah doing work, right? Then He says it was night. So logically He worked during the day & then says "it was evening". Think of it this way, if you are IN the day part, you wouldnt say "it was day" because you start off in the day part. You would say "and it was night", because that is what comes afterwards. Read this sentence "I went to work & then it was night". Did you read that the day began at night or that you worked all day & at the end it was night?

@@YaH_Gives_Wisdom Yah created the sun on the 4th day - which was for "Day", moon for "Night" etc. But prior to these being created He used HIS LIGHT, (Let their be light - on the 1st day) which I believe was Messiah Yeshua who is the light of the world. Prior to creating the Sun for day and even afterward, Yah proclaimed at the end of each creation day. "Evening then morning a new day" meaning as it sounds that evening STARTS A NEW DAY. HE could have simply said that "morning" starts the new day if it was important that we all get on the same page with this. With love and Shalom... Praise YAH!

Shemoth 11:4 when Mosheh is telling Pharaoh about the last plague He said , “ Thus said Yahuah, 'About midnight I am going out into the midst of Mitsrayim, and all the first-born in the land of Mitsrayim shall die, from the first-born of Pharaoh who sits on his throne, even to the first-born of the female servant who is behind the hand mill, and all the first-born of cattle.
There were told when he was going through the land and why they were not to go out during that time. But to be prepared to flee after that occurred. He told them they would be have to leave in haste.
In verse 8 of chapter 11 still telling Pharaoh what is to take place he tells him after that occurs all the people are going to come down to him and bow down and ask them to get out. Thank you so much for tackling this very important subject because we all want to keep the Sabbath at the appointed time. I kept evening to evening for many years without even questioning it. After much praying and studying I believe the day begins with light. Strongs 1961 is the word ‘hayah’ and is translated as ‘there was’ in Genesis chapter 1. The word actually means ‘to come to pass’ or ‘to become’. So the Father creates the light and then it becomes evening and then it becomes morning and that makes up one day. Night is not mentioned in the sequence because it contains no light.

topic for meditation and research: who said that the cycle in the scriptures must be 24 hours? Where does this 24 hour cycle come from? From the scriptures? A day is from dawn to dusk and the scriptures make a clear distinction and light has nothing to do with darkness. In my recent research... a long, long time ago... The sun was used to determine the length of a day (first light to last light) and the length of a year.,, and the moon as a marker of a new month,,, so after the appearance of the new moon... a new month began the next day at dawn (because it is the sun that marks the day).... and darkness has nothing to do with that. is this not why the scriptures often cite 40 days and 40 nights? To meditate on beloveds!

Shalom Brother Daniel, The reason i bring this logic oversight to light, is because I see a lot of Logical errors in your approach to finding Truth thru science!!! As a deslexia overcomer thru Messiah Yeshua, I am quick to spot the problems other are facing when i see thier responses to common ambiguous or symetric problems. I hope you come to our feasts so we can have time to fellowship.
      Shalom Shalom

the day changes from the time the sun goes half way down over the horizon and when 2 stars are spotted. This is the end of the day but doesn't say if it refers to a 24hr period. Yahusha says there are 12hrs in a day. It took half the night plus part of the daylight on the 15th to leave Egypt

    Adam, you did much better keeping your cool and behaving in love than most people could do. You won that debate by a long shot. That guy was teying roi hard to just be right. Thats tells me he may be feeling he's not right deep down in his soul, however, his pride was keeping control over his ability to reason. Maybe Adam, you planted a seed!!;

    ‭‭Shemoth (Exodus)‬ ‭14‬:‭24‬-‭28‬
“And Elohim said, “Let light come to be,” and light came to be. And Elohim saw the light, that it was good. And Elohim separated the light from the darkness. And Elohim called the light ‘day’ and the darkness He called ‘night.’ And there came to be evening and there came to be morning, one day.”

A day begins on the 4th night watch at first light/ dawn.
    Yonah 4:7-8 (ISR) 1998 👑
But as morning dawned the next day Aluahiym appointed a worm which attacked the plant so that it withered. And it came to be when the sun came up (ie: sunrise; which is AFTER a day begins @dawn), that Aluahiym appointed a scorching east wind, and the sun smote on Yonah’s head, so that he grew faint, and asked for his life to die, and said, “It is better for me to die than to live.”

I didn’t hear either of you mention the fact they were to eat in haste prepared to leave.
    Exodus 12:11 KJV
And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD'S passover.
This tells you they left the same night at first light. If it was 24 hours later I’m sure they would have kicked the shoes off.

Is there a reference in scripture where the night is attached with a number. Like used for the day. For example, days like Pesach are given a number... the 14th day of the 1st month. However, I do not recall any number used to identify a certain night.

  • @John-eh4yk
    @John-eh4yk 2 місяці тому +5

Both these guys are incorrect in their understanding.
The day starts in the morning and finishes in the evening.
God SEPERATED the day from the night at creation.
    One is LIGHT.
    The other is DARKNESS.
Light and darkness do not mix.
There was no 24 hour waiting period before they left Egypt.
The Passover is on the 14th.
The PASSOVER death angel comes in the 14th at midnight.
This is why it's called the Passover angel and not the unleavened bread angel.
They leave on the morrow, in the morning hours which is the 15th as scripture tells us.
The 16th is NOT first fruits.
This is an assumption and not what scripture says.
    Read Leviticus 23.
    Unleavened bread finished.
Then Yah gives them a new command to do first fruits after the Sabbath.
This would make it the 26th as found in the dead sea scrolls.
We are children of the day, not of the night.
Children of light, not of darkness.
There is no darkness in God.
There is no darkness in the new Jerusalem, yet we will be keeping Sabbath during the day, just like creation.
Yah only blessed the 7th day and there was no mention of evening and morning which means it's only the light hours of the day.
Just like Jesus says, is there not 12 hours in the day?

Let's fix that translation to one that's more accurate. It was the lying Ju'ish scribes who changed the wording from month to moon, as they were constantly corrupting Scripture in defiance of The Most High (the Ju's are actually Edomites, usurpers, from the line of Esau that married into the Nephilim, & still at their lies today). Yahusha called them out. He knew what a lying bunch of deceivers they were, and still are) 👇 👇 👇
"And Yahuah spoke unto Mosheh, saying: Speak unto the children of Yashar'el, saying: In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a Shabbath, a memorial of blowing of shofars, a holy assembly".
      Vayiqra (Leviticus) 23:23-24
The usurpers change the word to "moon" & today's usurpers reinforce that lie

Sun worship was a huge deal back then. Could it be that they were worshipping the sun as though it was a god. It's a fact that Egyptians thought the sun was one of their gods and that's why Yahua made darkness. He was attacking all of the Egyptian pagan gods.

Not to mention any place in the world “midnight”is at night” changing of the day so come on some people just have the need to be right and it’s really starting to sound petty not on Adams part I came into this conversation with an open mind this is why we have issues bickering back and forth.
I do not believe that was Adam‘s intention with this video. I would love to see this man. Try to argue why these certain books he doesn’t believe the scripture used to actually be in scripture. I would love to hear that one. Honestly, all this video has done is to re-infirm what Adam’s teaching to be true which I believe holy spirits already shown me, if something is too hard to understand chances are it’s a little off when it comes to truth.
Adam‘s friends being so analytical with his understanding rather than allowing Holy Spirit to teach it to him. He’s understanding it with his own elect and he wants everyone to see it in that view. That’s how I’m receiving this. Thank you so much for this video has opened my eyes in different ways and it was probably expected to with this video. Looking forward to see how he tells us scriptures not scripture .

There’s 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours a night so I’m not understanding what Adam’s friend is trying to get out. He’s very much getting monotonous. I think it’s time for me to turn this video off waiting for the next one.

The day begins at first light because we are the sons of the light and Solar Calendar thus the Lunar Calendar belongs to the sons of darkness this goes back to 175 BC and the book of Enoch and Jubilees tells of the solar Calendar also in Genesis the greater light rules the day . The Greeks forced the Zadok Priests to adopt the lunar calendar back in history when King Antiagus Epiphanese wanted to change the calendar and celebrate his birthday once every month

And tradition should not be included, it is added in. Watch Rachel Elior and her study of the Calendar! 102 scholars for dead sea scrolls and it explicitly says that we are to be Holy by keeping the solar calendar that Enoch learned from the angels in heaven and then taught to Lamech- Methuselah- Nir(Noah’s brother) - Melkizedek- ABRAHAM( retaught) !

Just imagine slaughtering enough animals to feed everyone at Passover. Having it all cut up, for everyone to eat, how many were there from all countries? 250k, 300k? that's a lot of meat. They had to have everything ready from the 1st one to the last one. It would have taken quite some time to get the animals from everyone in order also. A real butcher work out for the ones doing it.

I've discovered a couple of days ago that during the week of crucifixion it is recorded in the Apostolic Constitution showing that the day began at evening and on the 5th day of the week was when Yahusha was hung which was preparation day for the weekly Shabbat. 2nd day started the Passover week while lambs were purchased for Passover and kept for 4 days before slaughter. On the evening of the 13th which began the 14th at evening at night and the daylight after night was still the 14th and hung on that day as preparation day for the 15th which was a weekly Shabbat. The church is correct on 33 AD on a Friday. These come from the Apostles handed down by Clement of Rome to the Roman Church. People can look all they want and assume they have the right interpretation but we have these already in writings by early church fathers and give the time of the events and even what the Jews were doing.

A workweek has six days and the Sabbaths and new moons are holy days to separat. Could it be the eating of unleavened bread was meant to be a weekly count of six working days? On the seventh day of rest (Sabbath), we never baking bread 🥖 also not flat 🫓 bread. Not aloud to make fire 🔥 ore barbecue 🍗 on a Sabbat day of rest. We eat cold meals always prepared a day before.

History tells us, Antiochus forced the observation of the lunar calendar. The dead sea scrolls show the calendar as light being the day, night being darkness. Genesis is a horrible argument, as the day starting in evening necessarily makes morning the end.
Yeshua says there are 12 hours in a day...if anyone starts in the evening, they're still observing the day of sabbath.
    Love and peace, Israel

  • @annyletters4628

Is Yah’ allowing killing on a Sabbath? We believe no fire 🔥 ore barbecue is aloud on a Sabbath the 15th of rest. On the preparation day, the 14th Yahusha died on the cross, and Passover lambs was slain on the same day. The confusion to start the day at evening we read in Nehemiah, explaining the necessary closing the gates in the evening, because many was sneaking in to the city to sell their goods on Sabbath morning. The 15. in every month is a Sabbath, we count them from new moon 🌙 day ☝️, the 8.15.22.29. recognizing by the faces 🌓🌕🌗🌑.

  • @annyletters4628

If seven days unleavened bread, “a week meant to count only the workdays”, we start the count on Passover and preparation day “the 14th” (is Sabbath the 15th not included) we bake flatbread 🫓 also “the 16th,17th,18th,19th,20th and 21st” = altogether seven days unleavened bread.
