    Some corrections:
    The T35-85 never entered service until january of 1944 .
    The panzer 4 g never entered service until 1943.
    Kolobanov was alone and he was never outside the tank he was always inside the tank.
    Kolabanov's tank was struck a whopping 150 times through out the battle though none penetrated the armor.
    Kolobanov's tank had its gun sight damaged so kolobanov ordered the driver to reverse and the radio operator was sent out to replace the scope, he went back in the tank without a scratch and he succesfully replace the sight.
    During the battle a round struck kolobanov's tanks turret ring jamming the turret but they pressed on using the steering to adjust the aim.
    His tank was in a rise of to the side of the road several hundred meters back so he could see the sides of the german tanks.
    Finally 43 german tanks were destroyed no russian tanks were lost.

    • @GTFORDMAN
      @GTFORDMAN 2 роки тому +2

      yea the Panzer IV was in service but it was only armed (at this stage) with the short barreled 75mm howitzer, when the Germans encountered the T-34's and the KV-1's they tried up gunning the Panzer 3's to the long barreled 50mm which was "okaaaaaay" but it couldn't go any further due to the size of the turret ring, the Panzer IV had a larger turret ring and so was the choice for the longer barreled 75mm cannon to successfully counter the T-34's and KV-1's, and yea if the Germans had the "Panzer IV Ausf. F2" in the beginning the Soviet counter wouldn't have stood a chance!

      The country that executed German POWs and murdered them is good?
      The tanks are for their time period. But that;s before the German's had tiger tanks dominating the battlefield. While the tanks shown here are good, so are the later German tanks.
      The tanks that got took out here were little more then "fodder" tank wise. The weaker version of the German tanks. Pushing into a swamp with these tanks is also unwise. There's ways to deal with a few heavy tanks even if you got weak ones. But it only happens when you get close enough on foot to open the hatch and toss a grenade in or something. The mistake here is trying to just keep shooting the tanks with weaker tanks. When a grenade in the hatch (or down the barrel) can do the job. Reckless? Sure. But if you're losing that badly any way and it's known to work when people do it then there you go. Doesn't matter how much armor the tank has if you detonate it from the inside and set off the ammo. Behind on the tank also means the guns can't shoot you. The crew would have to deal with that or let you remain on the tank, sabotaging it.

    In the end it's all about knowing as much as posible about the enemys technology and not underestimateing them. In that era communism was a fashionable ideology so the soviets had a lot of spyes working for them and practicly knew all the weapons germans had. The problem with soviets was the stupidity of their leadership because otherwise they wouldn't even been targeted by the germans. What kind of leader kills a huge number of experienced military personel for no real reason?

    Russians: Our tanks are amazing! We should hold on to them, just in case we need to use them to invade Ukraine more than half a century later. What could possibly go wrong?

      And because it's the internet: It's a joke. T34s weren't used (that I know). But T-62s were. And they came out in 1961. 61 years ago.

      I could see it like 20,000 T-34s invading Ukraine well at least 5,000 would make it to the front lines
