14:32 That was Payne Stewart when he won the 1999 US Open. It would be his last victory as a professional because in October of that year he would tragically lose his life in a plane crash.
My grandfather and dad played golf, so I was raised watching and playing it. Admittedly, it's more fun to play than watch, but it's a great sport that requires a lot of skill. I've played several sports, and golf is the hardest by far. The major championships are The Open (played in the UK), the U.S. Open, The Masters, and the PGA Championship. The Ryder Cup is fun to watch, because it's more team play. The ball curves during putts because the greens slope in different directions, and the golfers have to calculate the putt based on slope, distance, and green speed.
Tiger comeback !!! Awesome, I'm an avid player, but these guys.. Whoa. The terrain determines the curves on the greens, BUT, the golfer has to "read" that curve
So excited for you to get into golf. It’s my second favorite sport behind basketball simply for some of the beautiful landscapes and scenery golf provides. Also you need to react to the 16th hole at the Waste Mangement Open. Its absolute insanity.
If you want another gold video to watch, check this video out from the same channel that talk about the comeback of Tiger Woods. You know those shots near the end, where the commentator said "The Return to Glory." This video gives the backstory for that. In summary, Tiger Woods fell from grace in the early 2010s. Between personal issues and his injuries, he basically hit rock bottom. Everyone counted him out. Then, in 2018, the comeback began. The story of Tiger Woods' retrurn to golf prominence, on top of everything he did before, cements me in my mind that he is the greates golfer of all time. ua-cam.com/video/BXzicJIQ_sU/v-deo.html You know that shot where the HUGE crowd of people were following Tiger? Here's a video that gives context to that as well, even including perspectives from those that were in that crowd: ua-cam.com/video/VzuMgG3rv4w/v-deo.html
Hey Bryson I appreciate you suggesting my Tiger Comeback video! It got blocked from UA-cam unfortunately but I uploaded it to Vimeo and the link is on my UA-cam community tab if you ever want to watch it again!
Yes, it has hit people watching... players have even hit the ball over the green onto like the clubhouse deck and they have had to hit the ball off the deck... it was sooo great that you reacted to this, you should do more golf 💯💯💯💯💯
Luka if you’re expanding a bit in content and sports I would say check out some of tennis’s best shots. I know you already have some knowledge so it might be a good watch. I know Tennis TV have some really good videos.
Luka totally didnt see this! Thanks so much for posting! If you happen to see this, most of these are from major championships, basically the equivalent to the super bowl or nba finals. There are four of them a year, and the worlds best golfers play in them. A lot of those shots were to win a major or just a tournament in general. When they are putting on the green, they have slopes and undulations that you have to look at extensively to meander the ball into the hole while still being able to put the right amount of pace on the ball. Otherwise if they are taking a full swing while not on the green, they can control the actual spin of the ball and make it move in a certain direction in the air, or after it hits the green so it rolls a specific direction.
Golfing is a fairly common recreational activity in the US, I drive past a golf course on my way to work everyday and even at 9:30 am the driving range is already poppin
13:28 He doesn't make it swerve. He's reading the angles of the green. The course isn't flat. It has ups and downs everywhere. The players are reading the ground and figuring how to use the rises and dips to get the ball to the hole.
The greens look flat, but they are very deceptive. That put where Tiger had the ball curve twice, the ball encountered two hills. "Reading" one hill is fantastic, "reading" two hills is next level. Reading more than two perfectly, that's PGA level.
I had the fortune of coming from a family where several people golf and growing up watching Tiger Woods at his peak. Golf's a good sport to watch and play, but not everyone would agree with that and understandably so.
like you said, the only way to truly appreciate golf and the things these pros can do is to play yourself. Golf is hard, and these guys make it looks easy. That's why the public misconception is so skewed. The only golf they see is top tier, they can't appreciate how insane the skill gap really is without giving it a go themselves.
You get some animosity between EU players and American players especially during the Ryder Cup. There have been complaints about American players being too rowdy and loud. Tournaments in the US are pretty rowdy and fun.
golf is the most challenging mental sport because all the weight is on your shoulders. caddies are there to provide some assistance but at the end of the day its only you competing. you have to be mentally tough or else you crumble and fall like a dead bug. and frustration is very hard to avoid in golf, especially under pressure
Golf..... Only sport where the score is closer you are to 0 (zero), you'll win the hole, or the tournament. By the way, hole-in-ones are the best someone can do in golf, per hole anyway. Which is worth 1 point. Also, the curve you see, the ball is going downhill. Most times the "slopes" are bean-shaped
If you really want to appreciate this video, then go down to the local municipal course this weekend and watch us "Average Joe's" attempt these miraculous feats. Most often, it is not a pretty picture. Love the game though.😎
I am sorry, but I have a music video to react to. This for the third string quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens. Everyone knows who I am talking about. Please react to the Trace McSorely music video
if you want another "different" type of video, look up "ENTIRE PLL Season in 8 minutes..." ( ua-cam.com/video/hiSELoGmWlI/v-deo.html ) PLL = Premiere Lacrosse League, this league was literally created LAST YEAR and had their first championship recently. I'd be dope if you checked it out if you're interested. either that or more NHL :)
@Todd LerfahndlerI agree it’s fun, I love golfing and I do it a lot in the summer, but he’s watching golf, even golf fans can agree it’s boring as all hell to watch.
@@Camhobza 1)Golf isn’t boring to watch, people just don’t have an appreciation for it 2) Even for those that often find golf boring, these are the types of clips that everyone enjoys
The green where they putt it is angled with hills, thats why you see the ball change direction and it seems like they barely hit the ball
Hey man thanks for reacting to my video; I’m glad you enjoyed it! It’s awesome to see golf content getting some love. Keep up the great work!
Not even a golf fan but you already know I’m watching this 😂
Tiger Woods- The Comeback: A New Chapter showcases arguably the greatest moments in sports history
!?!?!?
Look up “perfection at pebble” this is tigers best match.

Not a sport I watch either but 2 months and zero dislikes. Respect.

I'm a lifelong golf fan, and seeing these moments again really brought some chills down my spine.
Really enjoyed this!!! Would like to see more non golfers on youtube react to golf, hardest sport to master by far!
Playing golf is top 3 of my favorite things. I love it.
I don't really watch golf but I can definitely appreciate it after trying it out. Shit is not easy.

Golf is the hardest sport I’ve ever played, and I love it.

I'm kind of a golf guy, looking forward to dropping some knowledge in here Luka :P
Love how mindblown he is by the concept of hills lmao

Golf videos are the best💯
Crazy golf moments plz!!!!

Jack Nicklaus winning the Masters at 46 is one of the greatest moments in sports history. I watched men of all age cry.
MJ, Ali, and Tiger are the biggest sports icons in American history, imo.
I had the fortune of coming from a family where several people golf and growing up watching Tiger Woods at his peak. Golf's a good sport to watch and play, but not everyone would agree with that and understandably so.
Funny that Luka thought they were hitting the ball with spin.....lol
Golf crowds are some of the loudest in terms of how many people are actually there. Especially for tiger, Tiger roars are ridiculously loud

Golf is genuinely so hard. It has made some of the greatest athletes in the world look like people with zero basic motor skills.
The one tournament that they do that has the huge crowds is called The Masters.
Tiger Woods 🐐🐐🐐
The US won the Ryder Cup almost every time for the first 20 times it was held, now it's pretty even with Europe winning slightly more often
I miss the crowds so much!!!
Golf is so much fun to play but damn if it isn’t difficult as Hell
You get some animosity between EU players and American players especially during the Ryder Cup. There have been complaints about American players being too rowdy and loud. Tournaments in the US are pretty rowdy and fun.
The greens have hills and slopes lol.
The greens aren't flat. They're reading the green and finding a line. They ball rolls through the subtle hills and valleys of the green.
Being a golfer sucks because people who don't play think it's an easy sport but it's actually incredibly difficult
No one thinks it's easy they just think it's boring lol
The ball hits spectators quite often

I think the word you were looking for was terrain lol
If you want another golf story you could look into Payne Stewart’s accident. It’s a very sad but real story in golf history
If you're ever going to do another golf video, "Tiger the Artist" is a great one.
Thank you for this
PLEEEEEASE watch his video on Tiger Woods’ comeback! Gives me goosebumps every time
Try "Tiger the Artist" for the craziest Tiger Woods shots.
can you watch joseph Vincent's vid on tiger woods, its so good!!
You should watch a video of Charles Barkley golfing. He has the worst golf swing ever lol
Gotta watch Phil Mickelson crazy golf shots even if you don’t watch golf they’re crazy
You need to react to the best escape shots on the pga tour, or Phil Nickerson escape shots
The Ryder Cup is the US vs... the rest of the WORLD lol
this really is a sport you love and have played or youve never played lol

Yeah people get hit with the ball but it's usually when the golfer is teeing off and they hit it way left or right
GOLF IS BETTER THAN THE THINGS YOU LIKE
You should do one on the worst golf shots ever
