Crimson Trace Rapid Aiming Dot and Velocity Adapter for Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0

Here I am installing the Crimson Trace Rapid Aiming Dot and Velocity Adapter for Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 4-inch barrel.
I used an adapter mount from a company called Velocity. Installation was fairly easy.

I have the exact same setup and am thinking of milling my slide so I can add a red dot. I'm torn between permanently altering my slide and buying this adapter and losing my iron site. What are your thoughts after installing this?

After installing the adapter and red dot, I've grown to like the look and performance. I went this route with the adapter because I didn't want to spend so much on milling the slide, but in really happy with how it came out. After a couple rounds of zeroing I feel really comfortable using a red dot.
