Very cool video. Here in Australia I've spent a lot of time loading with Forwarders and although I've seen pictures of these set-ups I've never watched a video of the process. I'm quite amazed at the stability of the truck mounted cranab and have never, ever seen those sliding bolsters. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this.
At some stage I'm sure they'll end up here. We run a lot of folding skel trailers with collapsable bolsters in 2 trailer configuration, so it's not really an option in that scenario, but I'm sure their will be some companies, especially on the east coast that would see plenty of merit in this option.
I think, that with a few more loads for practice, this operator 'might' get the idea of how to load a "Timber Limousine". ( ha ha ha ) The art work on the cab is almost as interesting as the video. Well done, all 'round!
I like the small hooks on the securing chains which he can grab with the crane. Just a small detail but one of many optimizations that have been done to timber trucks.
what is the job of the guy who is watching the loading? Is the driver of the truck and crane operator the same person who does both jobs? That is one neat operation. Was that a Scania truck? thanks for a very good video.
weight limit in sweden 60 metric tonn 25,25meter long, but just logging trucks 90 mtonn31 meters long.up loading and down loading places distance max 100km!

What´s the weight limit in Sweden? 60 tons?
74 ton since 2013. But the most common truks is 60 ton. Because of the old regulations.
No Emil, not since 2013, 74 tons is a new weight limit.
74 tons on certain major roads, 66 tons with the right configuration on most roads.
thats damn cool ;)

Its the same in Finland aswell :)
Not 25,25 though, 24m in Sweden. 25,25 have very strikt requirements which this does not uphold.
they should make simulator game like this ..!
