We considered taking the local bus to Eagle beach (beautiful!) but instead jumped into one of the privately run vans that were just outside the gates (where you come into the city). Cost my wife and I $5 each and took us right to the beach (no stops). Same for the return trip to the ship.
Thank you for this video. I made us a printed walking tour using your excellent information! It was our first time in Aruba and we were able to do exactly what we wanted using your detailed instructions. Thanks again!! 😊
Thanks for this video! We will be on Carnival Celebration next September, visiting the ABC islands. We're definitely going to spend a chunk of the day at Eagle Beach.
I am so glad I watched your video! I took my $5.00 tour of Aruba on the Arubus from outside the port area to Arashi Beach and back. Thanks for the info 😃
Going on a cruise with Carnival soon to Aruba as one of out ports of call. We have been here probably 15 yrs ago by now. We just rented a Jeep and drove all over seeing as much as we could with time allowed. 👍😉
In December, I get there at 1PM so I feel this wouldn't favor me too well because a ship will get there at 8AM and I won't get there til 5 hours later, what do you think I should do?
Thank you for the super detailed video! We'll be going there on the Horizon in Sept of this year. Also, it was really neat to see that you're feom Charleston as well. We grew up in West Ashley and live in the 'Ville.
I just subscribed to your channel. You really did an amazing job! We're going to be cruising to Aruba in the coming months and found your video very informative. Thank you! Looking forward to your next video.
Thank you for the detailed video. One question about the faculties, are they on the beach side or the other side at the La Cabana beach resort. Are beach guest allowed to use the restaurant’s and bars (Lcbr) or is it reserved for hotel guests? Thank you.
Thank you, good tips! Wondering if there are any rentals on palm beach? Like snorkeling gear (is that good snorkeling there?) and water things to rent?
Hi whats the name of the place you rented the chair and umbrella where there changing rooms are, etc? You mentioned a resort but I didnt hear the name. Thank you ❤
Hi, and thank you for doing this video on a very economical and easy way to get from the Cruise Port in Aruba to Eagle Beach. QUESTION¹: From the time you boarded the bus, how long did it take you to get to the Eagle Beach? QUESTION²: Can you purchase alcoholic beverages at the Amsterdam Manor and drink them on the beach? QUESTION³: On another Cruise video, the person said to get off the bus at the "Resorts Area" where the Hilton Aruba and RIU Aruba properties are located.... then walk between both properties and your there at the beach?? What say you? Thanks in advance. Keep up the great work. 👍😎⛹️♀️🚴♂️🤸♂️
What beach is the one that have banana boat and all that stuff? Also need to know what store I can buy the famous cheese from Aruba my last time there was in 2008 so I don’t remember nothing from there
So wait, you get off at Amsterdam Manor and then walk across the street and just pay $30 for two chairs and a umbrella. Where exactly on the beach is where I’m supposed to go? Like how you said the one part was the hotels, is there a specific name for the part you went to?
Those umbrella's are free. Although the venders might say something else. All umbrella's on the island are free. You only have to pay for thr chairs, if you want to. Or you can just ask them to remove the chairs, because you want to use the umbrella.
It’s not too far. About 10 to 15 minutes by bus. A bus will be by at least every 10 minutes to pick up. Also some local van operators will take you back to the ship as well.
Thanks for a great beach trip Absolutely no problem finding the bus Glad we didn’t book an excursion for 4x the cost of a great day at the beach Almost too easy
You walked me from the cruise terminal to the bus terminal with perfect directions & video. You get it. Thank you.
Awesome! It's an amazing beach!

Oh really? Thanks for the tip. How much did you pay for umbrella and chairs in Eagle Beach?
@@salut510 Didn't rent an umbrella or chairs, just laid on some towels and enjoyed the beach.
@@macker0077 ok thanks a lot 😀

Awesome!!
The video I was looking for! We just want to go to the beach when we get to Aruba without the excursion. Thanks for posting!
Have a great time!!
Thanks for this video! We will be on Carnival Celebration next September, visiting the ABC islands. We're definitely going to spend a chunk of the day at Eagle Beach.
It is my all time favorite beach 🏖!
@@LocalCharleston101 I can see why. I'm sure it will at or near the top of ours too...
I heard the bench called something else!! Didn’t sound like “shady” to me!!! 😂😂😂
Yeah, I am NOT sitting on that bench! 💩
I appreciate this video. You provided exactly what was needed. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
I am so glad I watched your video! I took my $5.00 tour of Aruba on the Arubus from outside the port area to Arashi Beach and back. Thanks for the info 😃

My wife is from West Ashley. You are going to love Eagle Beach! Have a great cruise!
I found this video today, watched and subscribed! Will be in Aruba on April10 that is Easter Monday, I hope I can use the public bus.
You should be ok. It’s past the holiday and I would bet the busses even run on Easter since the locals rely on it heavily 👍
What resort did you stay at with the nice tiki umbrellas?
We didn’t stay at a resort we cruised. We went to a private beach next to the Amsterdam Manor.
I just subscribed to your channel. You really did an amazing job! We're going to be cruising to Aruba in the coming months and found your video very informative. Thank you! Looking forward to your next video.
Awesome! Thank you!
So detailed. Thank you . We will overnight in Aruba in December. Do you buy the bus tickets on the bus?
Yes. No tickets just paid the driver
many very interesting videos from Aruba❤❤❤❤❤
Glad you like them!
Thank you. I can't wait to try your directions in a few weeks
It’s the most breathtaking beach I have ever visited!
Did you do this?
Thank you for the detailed video. One question about the faculties, are they on the beach side or the other side at the La Cabana beach resort. Are beach guest allowed to use the restaurant’s and bars (Lcbr) or is it reserved for hotel guests? Thank you.
Facilities are beachside and you can use the restaurant and bars
Thank you, good tips! Wondering if there are any rentals on palm beach? Like snorkeling gear (is that good snorkeling there?) and water things to rent?
Try Aruba water sports center
Excellent video! Thanks. At what time did you take the bus? All buses were ok for wheel chairs? Thanks again
We go as early as possible. Not sure about wheel chairs but I am sure the driver or other travelers would help. It is a very friendly island!
How early do you suggest getting there? Thanks for the video!
As early as possible. That way you can get prime real estate with no chairs in front of you!
Question: did you need to buy tickets for the beach ahead of time or was there a kiosk at the beach? Thank you for this tips video
There is no charge to use the beach. You have to pay if you want chairs or an umbrella.
@LocalCharleston101 thank you.
@Local Charleston, How did you pay the $2.50 per person and the $30 for the chairs? Was it cash or credit card? Specially the bus fare?
Cash for both
did i miss the part where you said to buy the tickets? yo can buy a ticket on the bus? or need to go to the terminal to buy a ticket?
No ticket needed. Just pay the driver
Hi whats the name of the place you rented the chair and umbrella where there changing rooms are, etc? You mentioned a resort but I didnt hear the name. Thank you ❤
It’s across from the Amsterdam Manor. They have changing rooms.
@@LocalCharleston101 You are very kind, thank you. Great video 🥰

15 minutes. There is a bar owned by the Amsterdam manor on the beach. When the bus says Eagle Beach I get off the next stop “Amsterdam manor”.
What beach is the one that have banana boat and all that stuff? Also need to know what store I can buy the famous cheese from Aruba my last time there was in 2008 so I don’t remember nothing from there
Palm beach has the banana boat. Superfood plaza carries the largest selection of Dutch cheese.
Is the bus labeled (i.e. does the correct bus say "Eagle Beach" on the front sign?
No but the drivers get out of the bus before they leave so just ask. There are also signs posted at the bus stop.
So wait, you get off at Amsterdam Manor and then walk across the street and just pay $30 for two chairs and a umbrella. Where exactly on the beach is where I’m supposed to go? Like how you said the one part was the hotels, is there a specific name for the part you went to?
When you cross the street start heading to the left. It’s right next to the Manor’s area
@@LocalCharleston101 ok, any specific bars or anything on the beach?
@@zaylamont7916 The Amsterdam Manor has a bar and grill on the beach
Do you pay driver for the bus?
Yes
Was the chair and umbrella rental from a resort or a beach vendor? Thank you
Beach vender
Those umbrella's are free. Although the venders might say something else. All umbrella's on the island are free. You only have to pay for thr chairs, if you want to. Or you can just ask them to remove the chairs, because you want to use the umbrella.
Sounds complicated. Are there taxi cabs available?
There are but it’s really not that complicated. Plus it will save you a ton of money.
They take USD/cards?
Yes. Bus is probably cash only. Beach chairs and umbrella take credit cards.
you said 2.50. how do you recommend getting local currency for bus?
I used US cash. I let them keep the change.
Can I bring my own drinks and food to the beach?
Yes you can
How long is the bus ride from bus terminal to beach ?
Less than 20 minutes
its called the resort on eagle beach?
Stop at the Amsterdam manor and go across the road. The place we go to is next door to the resorts area on the left.
Were there biting bugs?
No
i'll be on NL is it pretty close to this port?
It’s not too far. About 10 to 15 minutes by bus. A bus will be by at least every 10 minutes to pick up. Also some local van operators will take you back to the ship as well.
What else do you recommend doing on the Island?
If you like gambling they have casinos. They also have four wheeling on the desert parts!
Arashi beach for snorkeling, visit the rock formations and national park. The California lighthouse gives you a nice few of the island.
US dollars accepted in bus?
Yes
Is there a place to snorkel at Eagle Beach?🐸
Sorry, not really 😕
Go to arashi beach for that.
Thanks for a great beach trip
Absolutely no problem finding the bus
Glad we didn’t book an excursion for 4x the cost of a great day at the beach
Almost too easy
It truly is one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen! Glad you got to see it for yourself!
I walked there for free took 45 mins from leaving tbe port. I refuse to pay when it's any easy walk.
