    Good for Joan! I read that for a long time she funded a hospital room in LA for people that couldn't afford a hospital stay, and never took any public credit for it.

      I read that it was a room at the Motion Picture Fund retirement home in Woodland Hills, Calif. it was for actors who were down on their luck.

    Do not recall hearing about this nursery that Joan initiated; why I believe she had compassion for those in need. Thank you for sharing this admirable aspect of Joan.
