E. Richard Stiehm Endowed Chair in Pediatric Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology

A renowned immunologist, Dr. E. Richard Stiehm is a distinguished professor emeritus of pediatrics and served as chief of the UCLA Division of Pediatric Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology for more than four decades. In 2017, Dr. Stiehm’s family and Dr. Roger Kobayashi, who trained under Dr. Stiehm, made a generous gift to establish the E. Richard Stiehm Endowed Chair in Pediatric Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology in celebration of Dr. Stiehm’s remarkable achievements at UCLA. The chair is held by Dr. Manish Butte, associate professor in the UCLA Department of Pediatrics and Division Chief of Immunology, Allergy, and Rheumatology. Support from the chair enables Dr. Butte to build on Dr. Stiehm’s legacy through pioneering research and world-class care for children and adults with immune disorders.
