To avoid that kind of scratching you need to loosen the strap from the other side before pulling on the ring. Leather is usually too thick to adjust just by just pulling on the ring. But, like you said, it will continue to get character they more you use it, so I’m sure that scratch will blend over time.
One thing Jennifer said is that the pen loop is arranged so a left-hander can turn the notebook in the other direction and have the pen loop where they need it.
Thanks for showing this. I think that strap is a defect because you shouldn't have to worry about gauging the leather just by adjusting the strap. it was beautiful to see this !! Thank you for posting!
Bennett is my favorite Austen color. I adore it and it’s gorgeous in this design. I’m glad you got the straps. I was wanting someone to get them - so far all the other videos have not shown it. Though I never pull like that to adjust a strap or belt - especially one that’s leather since leather is thicker and more structured than a canvas strap. I always slide the piece up thru the metal area and then adjust it sliding in a less aggressive way. So basically opening the loop and sliding the ring. But just contact Jennifer if you have concerns about it.
HI! Thank you for that info! 😁Learn something new everyday! I am not worried, I know this leather will earn scratches and nicks as it gets used more. However, I will try your leather strap tips going forward! THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE COMMENT!! 💗
Hi Jessica. It's been quite a while since you last posted. I genuinely hope you're doing well, as you were part of my weekly routine for so long. We miss you, but more importantly, I hope you and your family are happy and healthy. Take care ❤
Tracie L. Stimpson The spine itself is the same as an A5 TN - same spacing for the elastics. But with the trifold you can chunk it more if you wanted and it’ll still close. There’s several videos showing theirs - MyLifeMits shows hers with her hobonichi cousin Avec. And Sam Kelley shows hers with a Stalogy. Once I get mine I’ll be sharing some setup options too.
I have a A5 cousin planner that would fit into the "folio" strap or I just got an A5 Moleskine sketch book. I am trying to decided which I would prefer. 😊
Not a tri-fold... It’s a bi-fold (2 folds, not 3.) Isn’t that faux leather? (Or Vinyl? Doesn’t really look like real leather.) Pretty color, though. Personally, anything THAT big I’d rather have some kind of strap on. (MUCH easier to carry when your hands are full.)
Donna Norris Chic Sparrow only sells full grain leather. This is made from full grain veg tanned leather from their Austen line. Doesn’t smell or feel like anything but awesome leather ❤️. Yes it doesn’t have three folds. In the TN community a TN that folds in this manner is referred to as a tri-fold based on the way the leather wraps fully around the inserts on both sides. Similar to a trifold brochure in that it’s folded into three sections.
It is considered a trifold as it has 3 “faces” (front, back, flap). A bifold would be just like a notebook with a front and back (like a men’s bifold wallet).
Bifold and trifold don't refer to the number of folds. They refer to the number of parts created by the folds. Bifold doors fold once, into two parts. To trifold paper is to fold in twice, creating three sections. This notebook is a trifold.
Love your videos! Why have you stopped making them looking forward to more planning videos from you!

Thank you for explaining that!! 😊 I will try that trick going forward! Thanks so much for your comment! 💖

Mrs. Mom Next Door Can’t wait to see your setup. I’m still trying to figure out what I’m gonna do for mine when it gets here.
Autant exite par un notebook c'est a se demander si on est pas passé a coté de beaucoup de chose dans la vie 🤔
Les personnes les plus heureuses que je connais s'évaluent et s'améliorent. Les malheureux évaluent et jugent généralement les autres. 🤔
Oh no, you noticed an imperfection. Get ready to have your code disabled, and to get kicked out of the company controlled FB group.

It's definitely a trifold. Same terminology used in the stationery printing industry. Like a trifold brochure 👍
