Early 2000s, free square, no one around, beautiful sunny day, the Corrs behind you singing "Breathless" live only and exclusively for you .... blonde journalist I'm envying you tooooooo much :D
Andrea only ever felt comfortable making a wise-ass joke around this time. That last line was golden. And the "all the guys were looking at Jim" line was great. Poor Jim and that running joke, haha!
US can be a tough market to crack. They missed the heyday of MTV which was a perfect showcase for them especially given their look and uniqueness and talent. They did very well here but just couldn’t seem to take that next step.
@@Juandomngz curious. Where were you from the late nineties to say 2004? You should look at the Billboard charts for the years the Corrs were at their peak. You are completely wrong about what was selling in the US during that time. Your theory doesn’t hold water. You should know, they were signed to a US record company and produced by one of the most successful music producers in the world. Here in the US. If they were not considered to have great potential for the US market they wouldn’t have caught the ears and eyes of these record industry leaders. You seem to have bought into a silly myth.
@@JohnLnyc you have been living in an alternative universe as i see, The Corrs (which were massively succesful in Europe, Asia and Australia) never had a proper hit in the USA, The Corrs have only managed to enter 2 songs on Billboard Hot 100, "Runaway" that was #68 in 1995 and "Breathless" that peaked at #34 in 2000. Their highest charting album in the USA was "In Blue" that peaked at #21 on Billboard 200 in 2000, their rest of the album peaked way below that, you don't even know what you're talking about, check the facts.

As amazingly nice and polite as they are, I don’t think they really cared for the interviewer!!! Lol😂

@@JohnLnyc Their music was way too classy and melodic for the USA tastes, the USA back then was only into rock music, hip hop and bubblegum pop.
