My hubbie thinks I have lost the plot ..... what are you watching???? Kate ..... who is Kate ? A lovely lady ..... ok ..... what is Kate doing ????? ....., tidying a drawer ...... let me see ....... ok ...... are you ok dear ..... yep it’s very relaxing and encouraging to. Someone else has messy drawers .... are you inspired to tidy yours dear ..... nope 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Marion Lamont, my husband just rolled his eyes! I know he was thinking, you’re whole craft room needs that!! I cleaned it 2 weeks ago, looked beautiful, I haven’t ‘been’ in it to work and you would think a tornado went through it! LOL! I was looking for some paperwork, which landed up being in a totally different room and destroyed my clean room. I place stuff in there and think I’ll put it away or sort it later, only to realize I’ve packed things away and can’t remember where the heck I’ve put them. I really need a designated office away from crafts! Dream on....
“Have I a drawer like this“ you ask, hahaha, I have a whole room of drawers like that, nay, a whole house full of drawers like that! Tidying them out seems to just create new ones.... I love the long videos.
“The problem with the rotary cutter blades is....” oh, squirrel ! Lol! New drinking game: “when you need a ---, nothing else will do.” I’m up to five - no, six! Loved this video! Very fun!
Now, Kate, as a new member of the Lime Green Sofa I'm watching prior videos and while sewing boarders on my new quilt. This video has made me laugh so much. 🤣 Even when you sneezed I said, "God Bless You." Looking forward to your return.
6pm Utah. I found your channel and really enjoy it! You have given me great memories. My mom was a quilter, I practically didn’t go a day without stepping on a pin. I would lay under the quilt that was most often up in the living room. Her friends would gather to have a quilting bee. I learned most of the facts of life under that quilt! My mother’s finger, left pointer always had pin pricks and was quite rough. Today I was looking at some of the wonderful quilts I have. All hand quilted. Looking on the back of the Christmas quilt I saw a drop of her blood from her finger. 😢 thank you for bringing back all these wonderful memories. I felt like I could almost touch her.
It's amazing how satisfying it is to watch someone else clear out. I keep wanting to shout at people through the wires as you do this.... Clearing out cluttered spaces isn't necessarily about getting rid of things unless you have decided to become a minimalist. Organizing the things that you use and love(even it it isn't useful) so that they're more easily found and accessed is far more important that having less.
There's something so therapeutic about clearing out and rearranging. I enjoyed watching the entire video and would love to see the other drawer, too. Nice that you have some time away.
I really loved this video. It's exciting to see what bits and pieces you have collected. It reminded me of my mother and all the drawers of "stuff" she had. On a lucky day I would get to go through some of her junk drawers and organize. I am horrible at decluttering so she never had to worry about having things thrown away, just all things alike put together. This brought back some very warm memories of my childhood. I am also very sentimental so I have a story for almost every piece of junk I save, or you never know when I might "need it". It comes from being very poor as a child and my mom using up everything, almost never being able to have new. Thank you for this happy time down memory lane. I love your tidying videos.
I feel like my sister- you have the drawer that has lot of things- the All purpose drawer- yes- i like the goodies you have for the drawer- its fun doing with others watching, too- i'm glad you know where they belong😆Thanks, Kate!
Oh What a joy to turn on my youtube and a New video ... I'm going to work in my sewing room along with you. LOVE the long videos ... keep them coming.. I'm with you I keep 99% but I am OK with that .
I'm reorganizing my sewing room too. You need some drawer organizers. I've got several wooden silverware trays that work great. I also save smaller boxes to add for more bits. My sister has given me all her sewing things, fabric, notions....just an enormous amount of stuff. She is very ill & can't see. I'm really swimming in stuff. I'm doing exactly what you're up to there. 20 minutes day really does make a difference.
I'm sorry you and your sister have health problems. Your 20 minutes a day encourages me to do similarly...something here and there will make a difference.
I also have silverware trays and other small "dividers" for organizing the drawers in my sewing cabinet. Tools and small rulers and templates sit in fabric "boxes" with pockets a friend made for Christmas one year. All my quilting rulers hang on the wall of my sewing room just on screws that can be adjusted to hold more or less rulers. They are out of the way there and I can see exactly what I have. My cutting mats are slid behind the cabinet that holds my fabrics (my friend stores hers under her sofa!). I have the rotating cutting mat and find it very useful next to my sewing machine when I'm working on small projects as there's less chance the fabric pieces will move.
Dear Kate, i love your comments in your videos. I never new that cleaning out and rearrange a draw could be so amusing. Keep on going with you videos . Lots of love out of Sweden
wonderful Kate, but I would have kept a small and large rotary cutter in the paper draw too, as they are great for big projects and you can use the blades that do not cut fabric well for my big paper/cardboard cutting then, have a beautiful week x x x x x x
Very funny, we can all do with a tidy out! I am going to start mine as soon as this video is finished. Hint for the blades, look at them and see the ones that are still "stuck" together with the bit of oil. And, the used ones will have fluff on them! Happy pencil sharpening...
I took a break from knitting and found watching you clean out the drawer oddly satisfying. And then less than 2 minutes from the end it occurred to me that I could have taken out my "junk" drawer and cleaned it out while watching you. Well here am I slapping my forehead! LOL. Oh well, I had a lovely break from quite a few hours of knitting... Take care Kate, and see you when you get back. Cheers, Fern in Minnesota
I’m very late watching this, but I’ve been HOWLING! I’m preparing to sell my house of 18 years, and you are a British version of me “going through things”! It’s so hard, and I keep too much, too. Of course, the minute you discard something, you find you need it. Thank you for making me feel so much less guilty and alone in my collection issue ❤️❤️❤️!
Never did I ever think I would enjoy watching a 50+ minute video about tidying a drawer, but I watched to the very end and found it quite relaxing. The quilt you showed a photo of was/is gorgeous. Haha, just read Marion Lamont's comment below and couldn't agree more with everything she said. You're a gem.
I loved this. What a settled feeling of drawer organization you have (had). And some remembering of items you have used and who gave you this and that. Laughed out loud at all the tape measures! This will make you giggle. I am newer to quilting in the last few years. As you were going through items, I am making my shopping list of things to purchase!!
It is so interesting to read how different people find different things in your videos. I was taken by how you paused, almost reverently, with each spool of thread. Thank you as always, Kate.
I opened a drawer in my sewing room and it took me 5 weeks to distribute all the junk out to people that would use that item. I'm not opening any more drawers this seasons! Thank you for posting this video!
Great timing! My sewing machine is currently in for her annual spiffing up and rather than feeling bereft, I use the time to sort out my sewing drawers, table, etc.
The 2 green things (screws with green top) or the screws that hold a longer seam guide on your machine for wide hems or quilting. I have a Janome quilting machine and mine came with these screws and the hem guide. Love watching you clean the drawer makes me smile and think I need to get with it and clean some drawers. Thanks one again for an enjoyable visit this beautiful Sunday afternoon.
You could stick one of your measure tapes to the side edge of your table. I find it invaluable when sewing or quilting. I'm sure you'll find a way to upcycle another... book marker for a journal?
Lol, that was quite a collection.often i start clearing out something, get sidetracked and stuff everything back in whatever it came out off. Very much enjoyed this!
I have a big drawer too and I organized it with small recycled boxes from various products so there are compartments for like things or related things. I call it my junk drawer🇨🇦❤️🙏✌️
Think about small boxes or dividers to keep your things from sliding and making a mess in your drawer. You will have less to sort to find what you need.
Watching this was almost like going through my grandmother's old button tin. I used to spend hours looking at all the old buttons. And yes, I think just about every sewer, quilter or crafts person has a drawer or two like that. But...where we put all the stuff if we didn't?? Such fun.
Kate, I remembered what you had in that drawer- just similar to mine- It was my “tidy” time watch you! Thanks, Kate- it’s difficult to throw things you don’t know why you saved them- - its surely hard for me- Wonderful with kitties, Kate- Thanks-Sandi M
Its always so much more fun to watch someone else organize their stuff than to do your own stuff. Thanks for keeping me company whilst I ate my supper.
I thoroughly liked your clean- out drawers- many things you have, I keep as well-it was fun!! Enjoyed thoroughly except machine pressers - Thank you Kate- 💕💕
Only you could make tidying a drawer so entertaining!!!!!! Now I would be selfish and use one of those rulers and rotary cutters for paper craft and/or packaging! But you are so generous. ❤️
I've really enjoyed getting to know you through your videos. You have such a welcoming spirit and it really is like sitting down for tea with a friend. My daughter also is quite taken with you as well, she's a year and a half old and if she hears your voice she'll come running into the room to watch. I've started calling you "Nana Kate" (I hope you don't mind) and she climbs into my lap and we watch together.
3 years later and I'm only just now watching this video. I doubt you'll see this comment, Kate, but I think this is one of my favorite videos you've ever posted. You don't always have the opportunity to be so humorous, but I feel like I've seen yet another side of you and it's lovely, of course! Dull rotary cutter blades - great for using to cut paper, and you cut a LOT of paper. I know you like to use a scalpel but perhaps you'll give this suggestion a try one day. If you see this... :-)
Absolutely loved your cleaning. You need individual boxes in the drawer so everything stays in their place. Pencils, scissors , pens . I couldn't manage without my boxes as I have a mini sewing area. I hang my big rulers.
I just did this too, and before I put everything back, I placed a non-slip drawer liner down first. Now NOTHING slides around to get tangled!!! Why didn't I think about this YEARS ago!!!! I bought it in the hardware tool section, so its very sturdy, but still thin. At first I was disappointed that they only came in black, but I soon realized that I never noticed the black, because I could see everything so well because of the black background! Thought you might like to find out about this, too! :)
@@ruthsmith2434 Yes, I'm now cleaning/clearing out a closet (When I moved here 5 years ago, I cleared out much stuff--but not nearly enough!), and find the bins at Target very useful! They all work together well, they are sturdy and they come in several sizes. In my opinion, plastic should not cost so much--but they are sturdy, and will last a long time. I have made a HUGE mess, but gradually most of the mess in going to Goodwill! I have a very good new layout for this closet now, and it will be very useful, not just stacked full of boxes of stuff!
It's sort of crazy how enjoyable it is to watch someone sort a lot of stuff, and talk about it. I was working on sandwiching the three layers of a quilt to start hand quilting and it was NOT going well! I struggle with getting everything lined up, so stopped to watch you do this, which was great!
You are darling!! I could peek into your life all day! You sewing drawer almost make me what to dig in to my four of them. But, I'll put it off for a rainy day. Thank for opening this window into your life. I'll be around often.
Hello Kate. I just found your channel and what a lovely surprise! As soon as I heard you say, " Fed oop", I knew you were in northern England! I am back in the States, but worked in Bradford for three consecutive years for George Barker Refrigeration, as a Sr. Buyer, from 1992 to 1995. It was such a major, but wonderful experience for me that I am going to write a book about my stay, using a sense of humor, similar to James in All Creatures Great and Small. My best friend, Val, lives in Leeds and we visit and email to this day. So I can enjoy listening to your accent and northern phrases. Val would say she had to go home and feed her moggies and now I don't bat an eye! I miss her. We even have the same birthday! I am native to the USA and living in New Hampshire. We are a family farm. And I am just putting together a sewing cupboard. My sister gave me a lovely small armoire with lots of drawers for thread and supplies. You seem to be sorting out your sewing drawer.Nothing wrong with keeping bits and bobs that you may use at some point. I have issues with remembering what is in what drawer! I look forward to following your channel. Are you in Yorkshire? - Diane
Dear Kate, Your videos are never too long! Next craft video idea could be "best crafts for 1001 tape measures"LOL. Does the kazoo belong to you or to John? Thank you for cheering my mood on this slushy, mushy foggy day. xo
I loved watching you clean out your sewing drawer - every minute of it. I did so as I was cutting 2-1/2" squares for a child's quilt. It made the time go by quickly.
I first found your channel when you were cleaning out all your drawers. I don’t know why it was so interesting to watch,a but here I am again, watching you clean out your huge sewing drawer. It’s fascinating, and inspirational.
Honestly, this was fantastic to watch. I have drawers like this, and have also been going through them, trying to get my sewing area back into shape...It's a hot hot mess right now, lol.
I’m way late to the party and I’m a new subscriber. My mother died 2 weeks ago and she was a phenomenal quilter/crafter. Somehow you are just comforting to watch. A positive/can do person. In November I will return to California to clean her sewing room out and your style of cleaning it out (with your comments) is going to really help me. I know Mom has no less than 5 retractable tape measures and she has gobs and gobs of rulers of all sizes/shapes. Scissors…seam rippers…6 machines (I have 4 myself)…everything. Thank you Kate for comforting me. I miss Mom. And your comments remind me of my Mom.
When cleaning out anything - a drawer, a closet, or even a whole room, you will make a much bigger mess than ever before you have it all sorted out and have purged what you don't need. It's at that point I look around and think - and sometimes say out loud - "Why in the world did I ever start this?" But it's worth it in the end.
Such fun! It's like Christmas morning and a treasure hunt. I get lost going through drawers like that discovering things I forgot I had - and discovering the drawer looks like that in part because I didn't know what else to do with things.
Just a thought- you can create dividers for your drawer with cardboard or foam board. That way when you pull the drawer in and out the things don’t shift about too much and become disorganized.
I am afraid Kate nothing stays tidy unless you keep like things together in small containers otherwise they just end up wandering all over the drawer. Good luck with keeping that drawer tidy !
I do enjoy your videos, Kate. They’re so variable, have a lovely atmosphere, and coincide with some of my own interests. I also love your beautiful cats taking part! I had to take my beloved Grey Shadow to the Vet last week as he hadn’t been eating properly, and then wouild eat nothing and had no energy. The Vet found that he had very advanced kidney failure and he could not recover from that, so he had to be put to sleep. I’m 75, disabled and lived on my own with Shadow. My children and grandchildren have been lovely, and supportive, but I am devastated at losing him and miss him terribly, so I’ve been watching a lot of Kritter Klub cat stories and your programmes, which are very therapeutic, I find. Re your huge drawer (I’ve never seen one that big!), if it goes right across under the table, you might be able to cut out the closed end at the other side of the table and put a handle on the drawer at that end so that it could be pulled out both sides. Also, what about making compartments in the drawer for a number of different kinds of things.
That quilt was spectacular! I'm grinning as I remember John's comment last week ".....Mother has a lot of stuff..." I know that making many different things requires many different tools. Glad to know you're having a family day.
Kate, when I saw you had the magnifiers with handles it took me back a few years (insert tears) when my grandchildren were younger. I bought them magnifiers like that. They carried them in their pockets and every walk we went on they would stop and inspect the ground for tiny little bugs😂😍🥰. #makememories Thanks for the video!
Yes, "Hoover" it. My son & wife moved into a new clean apt. but when we looked closely at the top of the gas stove, we were shocked to see crumbs & debris. I lifted the whole top frame up (not able to do on all stoves) to expose even more gunk & junk. I calmly asked "where was the Hoover" to which my daughter-in-law asked "Why"? It took her months to get over that I actually vacuumed the stove including the broiler drawer & oven & underneath & behind. She told everyone about it as a teaching moment. Years before I saw an article about a gal who started a cleaning business who said, vacuum everything you can like the lamp shades w/brush attachment & open up the air thingy a bit so as not to suck them apart. Make your "Hoover" work for you. So I did as did Kate! Great video.
How lovely! I was all at a loss today. Couldn't settle on one project. I sat and decluttered my fabric scraps while you did your drawer. Felt like I was working with my mate. Thank you Kate. Love your videos.
I finally watched this to the end. I had stopped not because I thought it was boring but because ..... life. But I came back to finish it because yet again you remind me of myself! I have the same conversations as I clean out a drawer/ cupboard. And my kids were giving me a hard time for how many tape measures I have in my drawer. I find it fascinating. I hope you do the paper drawer as I do paper crafts as well. ❤️
Love watching someone else work! Ha ha- I had just cleaned out my sewing drawer, cannot believe how much stuff we have alike! I too pitched a pile of stuff I don't use and have had for far to long. It is so nice to know where things are now.
Ah no Sassy, this "girl" doesn't! A cleaned up kazoo would go with other items up to the granddaughters, five states away while those bags would have gone into the bin! Not being able to travel/visit, sending little things via the mail is a way of saying hello to the kids (ages 5 & 8). Both would have gotten a measuring tape with a tag saying, "What is the first thing you will measure?" As they are busy bees, off they'd go & learn about measuring! (Postage is costly now so I like to send cheap or free stuff.) Kate's drawer looked like many of ours & that clearing out was a good job indeed; several things were found that will be a great give away to someone!
@@dianebrown4559 If I didn't have a dog for which I needed the poo bags, I would use them to dispose of messy kitchen stuff or bathroom trash can liner (if large enough).
Oh my...I had sooo much fun watching this Kate! You clean just like I do (and many of us I imagine). Creative minds can always find uses for anything ☺️. I am a classic 'redistrubter'...only creatives would have a drawer for 'very important bits of wood'. Im guilty also 😆. So much fun!! I think your next jigsaw puzzle should be a picture of your drawer with a 'find item' challenge!!!!
Well that was oddly satisfying.😄 Favourite bits: “”I’ll just put that in the bin while I’m not looking.” and the “important bits” of the table that ended up right at the back of the drawer again, which is exactly where I put the important bit of wood from one of my kitchen chairs when I cleaned out my odd bits drawer this morning (before I watched this video). Also very entertained when you found the drawer handle and made a pulling motion as if using it to open something and the satisfying ‘snip snip’ motion when the small blue scissors went back in the drawer. Thankyou Kate, for 50 minutes of fun at the end of my day.😘
You are my hero. Don't ever apologize or be embarrassed. We are all the same. You just show it on UA-cam. Drew my attention to a few "drawers" of my own that need attention. Thank you. You are so sweet and friendly.
Kate, I am so enjoying this video! I can’t say exactly why without writing a longish story .... but it feels like home, you clearing up, tidying and asking “what’s this now” while I knit and listen, smiling from time to time and in my absolute comfort zone. Thank you!
I giggled through your video as I have my quilting stuff in several different rooms and only wish it was one drawer! The measuring tapes and rotary cutters seem easy to accumulate! One of my goals this year is to get all my quilting things in one area! I feel like there will be a lot of donating to be done! Thank you for a great video and I loved the cats in the window sunning themselves!🥰😻
Thoroughly enjoyed this . Your table is gorgeous, and I would love to have something similar to your cupboard with all the drawers. It was interesting to see which rotary rulers you like. Your favorites are also mine. I have a rotary cutter for paper products, that is what I have used the “curvy” rotary blade for. I have also used that blade to cut wool felt for a craft project or two.
Those specialty blades can damage your cutting mat, only the straight cuts are self-healing. So if you do use one of the 'pinking' or 'scalloped' blades, be sure to cut on an old mat you don't care about, or the reverse side of the one you use all the time.
@@judithjanes5738 OH!! that explains everything! I have used those curvy blades on my mat and now there are divets, for lack of a better word that prevent the fabric from cutting through. OHHHH, so glad I read this. Thank you.
One of the women who is in my small hand-sewing group was working on felt Christmas ornaments and had forgotten her pinking shears. I had the curly cutting blade so we put it in a rotary cutter for her to use. When I was putting the blade back in its packaging I read the warning, but she had been cutting on an old mat that I picked up at a yard sale for a dollar, so no harm no foul.
Thank you for yet another enjoyable video👍🏻👵🏻! And it does my heart good to see that I’m not the only one with drawers full of things I need but can’t seem to find...😂. Can’t wait for your next drawer cleaning episode! ❤️👵🏻
Enticing title I’m hooked. Your frustration about the tangles is giving me solace in my weakened cold/flu condition, Going thru drawers is therapeutic when your not under the gun.
Good job Kate. I'm in the same "clean it out" mode as well. I feel spring is coming early this year so I want all those grotty corners cleaned out! I got my 'she tool box' done a couple days ago, sewing machine drawers organised yesterday and my cook book shelf done today. Feels good doesn't it? :-)
I've spent a happy hour watching this (with pauses for many cups of tea) while I ironed, folded and stacked all my quilting scraps into a basket in a spectrum of colours having lost patience with the muddle and jumble of it all. It's very satisfying but I think you need more tape measures. Did you know you don't need all that iron cleaning stuff? You can clean the plate of a hot iron with a tablet of paracetamol! Hold it with an oven glove and rub the tablet firmly on the hot plate - sounds mad but works like a charm!
Loved watching you tidy-up your sewing drawer. I think everyone has at least one drawer like this (if they are honest!). We call it our ‘junk’ drawer which holds stuff that doesn’t belong anywhere else! Love our virtual visits!!
I’m the queen of organizing…wish I was there with you Kate… all my fabrics are in a special armoire; so is my quilting books, patterns, plastic bins all labeled, each quilt project leftovers I put it in clear shoeboxes & labeled so I know exactly where everything is. Batting area and iron. Rulers & quilting mats. I have 2 Singer Sewing Machines; 1 portable and 1 zig zag on a cabinet. Then I have a 4 drawer caddy and all quilting tools are. My threads are all organized by cotton threads, dual purpose, polyester, etc…even needles are all labeled; quilt clips container, another one for pins. Mind you, I quilt as a hobby and only from Fall-Spring because I live in a 1-bedroom apartment . I also knit for my children & grand children. I try to not be addicted but enjoy each project. No I don’t consider myself a real quilter since I’ve only made about 20 quilts in 20 years & several table runners, wall quilts and small projects. I’m happy for you Kate and the lovely location you have. Love your videos! ❤
Hi Kate, Nice to see you again:) That’s what I have been doing, Cleaning out cupboards, since new year started😀 Nice to see somebody else doing the same. Look forward to the next clear out:) KimXX

Kate, take one of your cutter blade cases and write USED. They still can be used on paper.

I have one stuck to the cutting table. Very useful.
Lol, that was quite a collection.often i start clearing out something, get sidetracked and stuff everything back in whatever it came out off. Very much enjoyed this!
Yay. 1 minute in and Norma is in on the act. Life with cats. 😻
Guthries World, I thought for sure Norma was going to sit down in the drawer.
I use plastic baggies in put stuff in
Really enjoyed poking my nose into your drawer 😂😁😂 ! I am always fascinated what us crafters, makers and sewers have in our cupboards and drawers.
Everybody has a drawer that holds the family’s odds and ends. It always feels good to get things organized. Thanks for sharing 👍❤️😊
You know Kate the thing I like about this video it is very long and fun.
Its always so much more fun to watch someone else organize their stuff than to do your own stuff. Thanks for keeping me company whilst I ate my supper.
I’ve just spent the last hour in the gym on the bike watching this. So much nicer than loud music! Thank you UA-cam friend.
I've bought some little bins to keep some things separated. You might find some in the Dollar Tree. Or, do you have a Dollar Tree store?
@@ruthsmith2434 Yes, I'm now cleaning/clearing out a closet (When I moved here 5 years ago, I cleared out much stuff--but not nearly enough!), and find the bins at Target very useful! They all work together well, they are sturdy and they come in several sizes. In my opinion, plastic should not cost so much--but they are sturdy, and will last a long time. I have made a HUGE mess, but gradually most of the mess in going to Goodwill! I have a very good new layout for this closet now, and it will be very useful, not just stacked full of boxes of stuff!
@@ruthsmith2434 Interesting...you wrote this ten months ago, but it was just delivered today!
Love the fact that I’m not the only one that has dozen of everything... rotary cutters, rulers, scissors measuring tapes etc... keep up the good work!
I first found your channel when you were cleaning out all your drawers. I don’t know why it was so interesting to watch,a but here I am again, watching you clean out your huge sewing drawer. It’s fascinating, and inspirational.
You’ve inspired me to clean out my sewing drawer, Kate! Thank you, kindly.
I think I’d give my eye teeth for that unit you have against the wall with all the clear drawers!
Honestly, this was fantastic to watch. I have drawers like this, and have also been going through them, trying to get my sewing area back into shape...It's a hot hot mess right now, lol.
"I like that. I don't know what it is but that can stay". Love it! I can so identify with that LOL. Great video.
I got the giggles watching you go through your treasures. So glad I am not alone!
I just fell in love with your table, awesome drawers.
Great job!
Kate I keep my rotary cutters and scissors in old biscuit or sweet tins . That was hilarious and very enjoyable .
It seems daunting when starting a cleanup but it’s a way to find long lost treasures while getting reorganized.
Every Jan 2 , I declutter my medicine cabinet, spices and my sewing drawers!! My husband says it my special start the year with a clear brain day!!😂❤️
This was perfect to watch on a snowy day as I sit here with my spinning wheel! (and my whole sewing room in disarray while we do a bit of remodeling)
Such fun! It's like Christmas morning and a treasure hunt. I get lost going through drawers like that discovering things I forgot I had - and discovering the drawer looks like that in part because I didn't know what else to do with things.
Just a thought- you can create dividers for your drawer with cardboard or foam board. That way when you pull the drawer in and out the things don’t shift about too much and become disorganized.
my thought exactly. And dividers are fun to make!
Hi Kate, That is one "BIG" drawer 🙂 I would buy various silverware type baskets to hold items to keep them in their place. Great job - YOU ROCK
That quilt was spectacular! I'm grinning as I remember John's comment last week ".....Mother has a lot of stuff..." I know that making many different things requires many different tools. Glad to know you're having a family day.
It was so touching how your cat sensed your emotions at the beginning of this video.
Kate, when I saw you had the magnifiers with handles it took me back a few years (insert tears) when my grandchildren were younger. I bought them magnifiers like that. They carried them in their pockets and every walk we went on they would stop and inspect the ground for tiny little bugs😂😍🥰.
#makememories
Thanks for the video!
Good to see you tidying up. I’m with you in your process, and am glad to see I have many of the same treasures in my drawer! Good idea, that vacuum!
If I catch myself muttering “nothing else will do” while looking for something I think I’ll have a good laugh at myself and thinking of you!
That might be the deepest drawer I've ever seen! So big you can't see the end of it. Goodness!
Oh Kate, you clean draws like I do ❗️ I loved this!
Love watching someone else work! Ha ha- I had just cleaned out my sewing drawer, cannot believe how much stuff we have alike! I too pitched a pile of stuff I don't use and have had for far to long. It is so nice to know where things are now.
Drawer Dividers will be a good idea
Every girl needs a Kazoo and poo bags in their sewing drawer!!! 😂😂😂
I really enjoyed that. I sat here being lazy and watching you do a clean out made me feel ever so productive! 🤣🤣🤣
Maybe a couple of utensil trays that fit down inside your drawer - they would keep 'like' items together and corralled...
Thank you.
@@mrscms831 You're welcome. I just recently found out about this myself, luckily BEFORE I used them on my good cutting mat.
I love how laid back and sweet you are. You're video's help me to relax and motivate me to get the small things done. ♥️
I know!! I have 4 machines and each takes a different bobbin. Lol. Some good chuckles today. Thanks for having me over.
I love watching you clean out draws. Hope you had fun at your family thing.
So fun to watch and I am still laughing because we all have a draw like that.
Hi Kate,
Nice to see you again:)
That’s what I have been doing, Cleaning out cupboards, since new year started😀
Nice to see somebody else doing the same.
Look forward to the next clear out:)

Winter is the perfect time to do those kinds of chores. Who wants to be tidying drawers in the spring time!
