*SUPER HELPFUL, Man!* I've never *had* to press out a stem from a triple tree but I'm sitting here Ultrasonic Cleaning & Bagging&Tagging some of my old DirtBike front ends to sell. I don't want to change out my fluid in the cleaner *just yet* but if I put a greased up packed bearing inside it; Gonna have to. As someone below said, I can't believe this is an issue for some people but I'm also suprised there aren't more tutorials on the subject. Thanks, dude!!
Thanks for the Vid mate, My mechanic said he could not do it?? So i watched ya vid and saw how easy it was, Came out easy and pressed in the new billet clamp, Now time to build the quad, Keep up the good work..Cheers form Australia mate.. :)
Awesome! My stem seems to have come loose while hammering my bearings on and off. I can spin it by hand. Should I press it back to be flush with the bottom of the tripple clamp? It’s a 2012 KTM 500 EXC
Imma head down to my local harbor freight tomorrow press out a 636 stem to put into a zx10r lower tree and return it after. Their return policies are really lenient
Great video. I took it to a shop before I looked at this. It wasn't a Yamaha shop. He couldn't get it, I think he was pressing the wrong way. I didn't know about the snap ring, and I don't think he did either...
