    Nothing could stop you if you are determined. Years ago I was thrown out of the school because I was very poor in studies. My teachers said I would end up as a labourer. I wanted to speak English fluently and everyone made my fun. I took this as a challenge and cut off from everyone. Years later today I work in an MNC and also help people learn English. I help them so that they don't face the challenges which I had grappled with. And all those who used to laugh at me, are still there where I left them. Practice is the key.

      "It’s incredibly perfect I had been doing this since 1 year and I’m full of confidence while communicating ,reading & Also enhanced my vocabulary." I think you ned to review this. It's incredibly perfect...WHAT is incredibly perfect? The sun? The moon? Her method? "It's an incredibly perfect method, I believe, as I have been using this method for one year now. As a result of this, I am full of confidence when communication and reading. In addition, this method helped me improve my vocabulary." Try to think in the manner of one idea one sentence. After this you might consider using conjunctions to join these sentences together. Following this, you might consider using discourse markers to allow your conversation and written work to flow. The analogy could be a meal: prepare the vegetables (one idea one sentence); cook your vegetables (conjunctions); finally, add some spices to enhance the dish (discourse markers). One ought to record oneself reading a short passage. Save the file and listen to this in 30 or 40 or 50 days hence. Ask oneself: Am I clear? Can I follow the recording? Could a third or fourth party understand me? If there are words or sections which are not clear, then these are the section which require immediate attention. Use 3 or 4 new words in your daily life: on this surface, this sounds to be a reasonable suggestion. However, if there is no context for the use of the words, then this suggestion is illogical. One has to UNDERSTAND the context for the use of the new words. There is little point using the words, "microwave oven", in conversation about flowers, for example. The aim of this message is NOT to criticize you; rather to focus your mind upon the production of clear, accurate and meaningful language.

    This is very good technique to learn new words. I want to add something with this technique. After finding the meaning of new word one can go to image section where you find many pictures related to the word. Take screen shot of the picture which you find suitable and save it in your phone after renaming it and keep it in a folder. Whenever you are free like at the time of journey, attending unimportant phone call you can revise those words. As we don't have control on our memory, the more you revise new words the more we can remember.
    Bonus Tips
    1. Use screen short of new word as wall paper in mobile or 💻.
    2. Alone with your friends, relatives name write a new word in your phone's contact so that when they call you that new word also displayed with their name. Once you remember the new word expunge the word and use another one.

    To be honest, I've been doing this for weeks and it doesn't feel like I'm getting somewhere. I love reading and I also love English language. I've been struggling with pronunciation but i didn't try to work on it, better myself; I read in silence most of the time and focus on the story(when there are words I don't understand i just read the whole phrase and kind of understand the meaning behind the word)
    I wanted to be confident when I use English in front of other people so I decided to work on my pronunciation, - combined with my love for books. Doing two things at a time, working on my pronunciation and reading a book a week. The thing is that I was so focused on pronouncing everything correctly that at the end of the book I couldn't remember what was it about. I had to read the book in silence then out loud which felt like a waste of time. Been trying to use other apps like memrise/duolingo to work on it but if It was as hard as the previous method.

      So is this method effective ?

    • @dvvizan
      @dvvizan 4 роки тому +1

      @@leviathan9649 so-so. I still use this method because I can see in what context the word I'm not familiar with, is used but If I have to review my notes every day so I will not forget the words/meanings/how to pronounce. Sometimes I use an app called Memrise, but it just gives you the word+ meaning without examples so unless you write down some examples it won't do much. And If you are a person who can read out loud and still focus on the story then it's a good method to use. ;)

    • @leviathan9649

      I tried, it's boring and hard to focus on .

    • @begel7992
      @begel7992 2 роки тому

      Actually, you dont need to focus more on your pronounciation . As long as others able to understand what are you trying to deliver when youre talking in english is enough . Its not I want to hightlight that pronounciation isnt crucial, but if you too focused on fixing your pronounciation, you will burden yourself .
      If you watch IELTS foreigner participants, you'll noticed tht their pronounciation isnt sounds like a native speaker. Their own accents still there but manage to attained high band in IETLS . Pronounciation is important but your fluency in english is more vital .
      * perhaps if you used to speak your mother tougue/national language daily that is in high tone, I suggest you to low down the tone when speaking english (high/low tone, not loud voice) cause smts our tones play big roles to pronouncing words*
      I had a same problem as you before .

    I am a translator. I am trying to refine my English language skill. I think the most common mistake that we do while learning vocabulary is that we memorize many words but overlook to understand the context. This is the reason that we forget all our learned words and can't use them confidently. So, learn the context simultaneously.

      PRASAD SURAM good morning, they say you have to do what you fear the most in order to make progress and this applies to everything in life, whatever it is you always avoid, whatever bothers you to do, those things that make you procrastinate, those are the things that are keeping you from moving on, they keep holding you back and don’t let you advance. In your case, one of these things is the fear of reading, you have this fobia because you think you are not good enough or proficient enough in English, you are probably afraid of what others might say or think about you, the truth is, you are way better than you think , so how do you address this ? You need to hit the books at home, pick up a couple of good books in English and make sure they treat a subject that interests you as this will guarantee a yearning desire to continue reading... you must read out loud, it’s imperative that you hear your own voice, take your time, this is not a race.
      Also, I find that LingQ offers a couple of nice features to improve your reading, it’s free and you have audio tracks to back up your reading, this means you can practice reading out loud then play the soundtrack to verify if you have pronounced everything correctly or you can simply do some “shadowing” which consists of activating the soundtrack , pausing, then reading the part that you just played etc ,
      Edit: sorry for writing such a long response, I hope this helps. Good luck

    This is good idea...
    But for 30 days...how many words if u take 2 & 3 daily then is going to be 60 ..and if you tlk someone then also u will get new words...
    Altogether what comes out is just talk daily... continuously forget about hindi if you want to speak. .... this is really sickness..

After that, i use the anki program and transfer each word of the google translate to inside the Anki with the meaning the each word. After that, i memorize each word and your meanings. After, i go back to the video and watch it. Now, knowing all.

There is little point using the words "microwave oven" in conversation about flowers, for example

    Quick tip: if you're too lazy to pick your notebook up again (like me) just download a flashcard app and write the vocabs in it so you can test yourself and get daily reminders to grind the words into your mind😅

    Thank you for sharing this idea with us. But this method has a weak point: consider coming across a word like: "She cried loudly. "
    So you jot down the word. At this point you have just written the word "cry" in your notebook and you don't know what the content was, now you cannot check whether you have got the right meaning or not.
    Would you help me with this?
