Every Ford truck I have ever had has been able to delete the seatbelt notification. My ‘02, ‘05 F150 my ‘10 F250 and my current 2000 Excursion all had the ability to silence the seatbelt notification. That feature and the code to unlock the doors is the reason I only buy Ford trucks.

    • @Alborn30
      @Alborn30 6 місяців тому +6

Honestly you don’t realize how nice that code unlock is until you own a vehicle with it! Can’t count the amount of times I’ve stupidly locked my key in my 2009 MKX. Simply input the code and you’re in. Also very convenient to purposely lock your key in your car for the random situations where it’s smarter to do so.

@@Alborn30 My ‘02 F159 didn’t have the keypad to unlock the door and I lost my keys riding my quad. If I had the keypad I would have just locked the keys in the truck. It was that day I decided I would never have a truck without it.

Ford deserves every sale in the world just for how easy it is to turn off the seat belt minder 💯

Honestly, and this comes from a guy who works in technology, this truck is the poster child for everything that is wrong with modern cars.Too much fluff, too much completely unnecessary garbage. A truck should be a truck and should have no features outside of basic things. Its really just pointless. And trucks are WAY too big and tall nowadays. Its absolutely ridiculous. Everyone has their thing, but this kind of vehicle is virtually everything I hate about modern cars and trucks.

I dont really care for tech in cars but from what I can see in this vid this one of the better examples of how to do tech in a vehicle plently of physical controls all basic functions can be done by pressing buttons and not getting distracted and in the end you don't have to option all this tech if you don't want it. Try anything from VW's ID range where even for the most basic functions you have to do a deep dive into a screen with the most nonsensical menus and submenus and full of very unintuitive touch sensite controls

I've been a "Ford Guy" for nearly 4 decades and while I absolutely love the F250 in this trim with the Tremor package - I just can't seem to find it in my heart (or budget) for $100k on a truck. In the past few years you couldn't count on someone else taking the arse kicking driving it off the lot then scooping up a deal 18-36 months later - those days may be coming back but for now (truck) prices are still holding.... If I had to buy a truck today - it would be between a Ford F250 and a RAM - the last 1/2 ton truck was going to be a RAM (in 2018) but the sales folks didn't "show up" when I went looking with money in my account to spend - so Ford it was.

Regarding the column shifter - can you put it into drive and using an open palm, push forward and upward on the shifter to move it into neutral without having it go into reverse?
On past Fords, trucks or sedans, F250 or F150, conlumn or console shifters, you could not do that! For the column shifter, you actually had to pull the lever UP and put it into Neutral!
The reason why this is important is in case the throttle gets stuck, you can just palm it and push the shifter from D into N without fear of going into R.
This can be done on all Ram, GMC, Chevy, vehicles as well as BMW, Mercedes, Audi VW, Toyota, Lexus Honda and Acura vehicles. Why ford has this lockout is unknown as this is a DESIGN FLAW! Other manufacturers do not have this safety issue with their auto transmissions!
Curious what you find on your new truck?

I’m down-right pissed that they killed them here. I love Mustangs but if they wanted to get rid of a car with low sales numbers, it should have been discontinued.
      I’ve owned a 65 Mustang, an 88 Mustang LX 5.0 SSP, a 2007 Fusion 2.3 5-speed purchased new and a 2014 Lincoln MKZ bought used with 8,300 miles.
I’ve loved all my cars but the Fusion and MKZ were great cars that were new or relatively new when I bought them and they were affordable and great cars.
I considered and really wanted to buy a Focus or Fiesta ST and would gladly buy a new Fusion or MKZ today.
Ford still builds sedans and a new Mondeo and MKZ are available in China. So is the Taurus.
I believe that the Focus and Fiesta have been discontinued worldwide which is a shame because the latest generation that we didn’t get was really nice.
I think Ford got rid of the affordable cars in the US to get people accustomed to the high prices of electrics. I’m soooo glad that the electric vehicle market is falling on its face now. Ford deserves it!

Full disclosure...im an older guy with a paid for 2004 f250... Your 2023 is just a good as that 2024 in 20 years the tech can give you problems and it is unlikely Ford will fully support parts. I really like the truck you have and feel a little bit sorry that you had to pay 100k for it.

Not easy to disable seatbelts. Buy all the Ford scan products and take a risk on your warranty and god forgive someone gets hurts after you disable belts. Good review but you need more time in the truck way off on a few things and the tremor is way more than lift and shocks

@@WatchJRGo I think people still can`t wrap their head around how the tax write-off kind of discounts the original price. It`s better spent there than paid in tax. Also there`ll be a market for it in 5 years time if you gonna sell it then to recoup some of the money. The only thing I don`t get is how can you be this excited about the '23 or the '22 for that matter. They bore me to tears with or without the bells and whistles trim level.
