a valkyrie is a female figure from the norse mythology, very well known as a warrior. the valkyries rode pegasus in the sky and chose those who may die in battle and those who may live. one of them was shown in Thor 3 btw

Such a great debut. Another channel (who I won't name here) said it well: it's important in a debut for some of the idols to stand out. A lot of debuts sound like "stereotypical idols" and you don't feel like it's anything different. Yeah you can sing and dance, but so can a lot of people. What makes you special?
(G) I-DLE and Stray Kids nailed this last year, and ONEUS is the first ones to do it this year for me. And it's a strong ass start.

This group made an impact on me in June of last year - I was looking for a rookie group to stan from pre-debut, and happened to come across ONEUS on google. Honestly, they did NOT come to play - they're a very hard-working group that won't be a disappointment, and I know it. I can feel that they're gonna go big, and considering like you said that Mamamoo is from RBW, and so are ONEUS - fantastic vocals and rappers came together. But oh my god - I didn't expect Valkyrie to be the way it is - it was an amazing surprise. What made me shocked was when Leedo started off the song, and then he came in with the D E E P voice rapping??? MY GOD - give a girl's heart a break :'D But also Ravn's rasp - holy shit that was just fire. Of course let's not forget our lovely vocalists, Seoho (your bias), Xion, Keonhee and Hwanwoong❤️
My bias in the group is Keonhee, but I do love all 6 of them equally❤️

You should see the live stages of Valkyrie, that choreography is gleaming. Oneus has a brother group called Onewe, they do a lot of promoting together. They also have twin members, one is in Oneus and one is in Onewe. I just watched them sing Valkyrie live on Airing Radio also, 👍.

"You'll turn up the light" sounds the same as Valkyrie in Korean so the song is a play on the words
Valkyrie are those who pick soldiers who die in war and bring them to heaven in norse mythology
So basically they are using the concept and say ok life is dark and it seems terrible but with you around everything lights up like when valkyrie bringing people to heaven
Also hence the dark wings and feathers on outfits + the lighting making it seem like they are shot because they are fallen soldiers (who fell for the girl ;) ) + floating in the end etc.

they’re a four member group that debuted back in 2016. they’re also basically the male version of mamamoo in terms of vocals and extra-ness so I recommend checking them out.
