You could try Egypt it is a good place for the initial move to get to know Arabic and get closer to the Quran, (I don't really like Egypt myself but others making hijrah do) I am personally thinking about Oman but I haven't moved there yet and I have known Egypt since I lived there for some time it may be a bit of a culture shock and there will be things to get used to but it's really developing and of course, the pound sterling is good there.
Turkey and Morocco are also places that I would consider I've been to Istanbul for a very short while but I really liked it. and my dad really likes the Idea of Morocco and being the fact that it's very close to the UK for people who work remotely or work for UK companies that's a good option.

Malaysia❤ Majority Muslims, there are non Muslims too so we learn to respect things that are sensitive to others and tolerate. You can hear azan for each time. Many masjids in each states. Musollah is in every malls, government buildings, rest stops and almost all gas station convenient for people in long journey. Halal food everywhere. Almost everyone speaks English as it's in our school curriculum. Those who don't mostly still understands basic English. Good public transit and e-hailing (Grab) system. Affordable healthcare. For foreigners , of course our low currency is an advantage. There are many things we still need to improve, but alhamdulillah, as a Muslim, I am grateful to be in Malaysia.

The people are very welcoming and kind. The fact that his family is here is a great help. Also a lot of people speak English here too. People are more than ready to help from our experience. The kids are loving living here. They are not only embracing their culture but also their Islamic values. As a Turkish brother, I don't recommend Turkiye.
You are 4 years younger than me. I want to tell you how it was in Turkiye for a boy in school and environment from my experience. I have lived in different cities from west to north, east to middle. It doesn't change. (I didn't live there but it may only be worse if not the same in south and south-west, not better)
In elementary school years (1st to 8th grade) most of the students don't even go to Jumuah prayers. I started going Jumuahs at 4th grade (9-10 years old approximately). No one else from my class would go. I don't know their other prayers. I was performing daily prayers with my father in those years. I am not sure if I was praying alone when my father wasn't at home (maybe some of them). In 5th and 6th grade, different city, still alone in Jumuahs. In 7th and 8th grade, different city again, there were couple of friends going Jumuah in my class. If my father wasn't at home, I was praying myself. In my high school years (9th to 12th grade) it was also in different city, I was the only one in my class who practise daily prayers (as much as I know) although I was living in a conservative populated city. There were few friends who try to come to Dhuhr with me time to time. Mostly I was alone 10th and 11th grade, there was one friend in 12th grade who were trying his best. However more than half of the boys were attending to Jumuah prayers if it wasn't overlapping with lectures (Overlapping occured one semester in my entire high school years). Even if I couldn't attend the class, I would go. I was alone in that situations. School boards generally regulate the hours so that it wouldn't overlaps with Jumuah since adults generally tries to attend Jumuah even if they don't pray others.
I don't know earlier years but in high school, there was only one boy who chose not to be Muslim despite his family. Once a teacher asked about how many of us read Quran completely at least once (in Turkish translation)? There were only two person other than me (it was more but let's say in twenty students). One of them was that deist boy and the other one is the boy who were trying his best to come to Dhuhr prayers with me (his family were not practising Muslim).
In university, I don't know the whole picture since students can take different lectures or go different days. In our friend group (all male 7 person), I was the only one who was practising daily prayers, two of them were atheists, other 4 of them were Muslim, only two of them were attending Jumuahs if they don't have anything to do. Let alone atheist friends I witnessed multiple times that two of the Muslim friends drinking alcohol despite they acknowledge it is haram. The other two were not drinking alcohol.
My cousins in high schools now, they say there are more non-Muslim students (despite their family) in their class than my time in high school. I may continue to ask in university.
Totally my opinion, there might be some problematic stereotypes for foreign Muslims because of immigrants. Political opposition parties stresses this kind of issues continiously although we had same problems before immigrants. Your children may face some difficulties because of that, but probably it would be nothing compared to western countries. Maybe they won't face it. I don't know about this, I haven't looked into it, I didn't hear anything about it. Just predictions.
In Turkiye, the culture is more dominant than the religion. Most of the Muslims (my observation) are not practising Islam in their daily lives. I don't know any number related to that but my estimation is that, at least 80% are not practising daily prayers. Parents don't try to teach Islam to their kids. People wouldn't be much different from western people if it weren't for cultural pressure. Those who break that pressure already live like a Kuffar lives in western societies regardless of their religion. The environment is suitable for that. This number is also increasing. That cultural pressure eventually will fade away in some point. People attend Jumuah, continue fasting, sacrificing animals, but when they are alone they don't perform daily prayers. It is seen more like something you should do after you lived your life up to some age, then you start performing daily prayers.
If you are planning to surround yourselves with practising Muslim families then it will be easier for you and your children. Other than that, your children and you as parents should try your best to stay on the path as much as possible.
As part of the 12-year compulsory education, we actually study English in schools starting from the 4th grade until the end of the 12th grade, but as you said, there is a language barrier here. You have to learn Turkish if you come here, but you don't have to make it perfect. As long as people understand, you understand, everything works out. Your children (inshaallah) if they go to school in here they will learn Turkish eventually. I believe that a Muslim should think that, he/she should learn Arabic. If you move in Turkiye, you have to postpone it or make it harder to learn Arabic.
I don't know healthcare systems for foreigners, but probably it is OK. People come from Europe for certain operations since it is more affordable despite additional travel cost.
Those who want to practice the religion can practice easily nevertheless. I mean structure of the country allows that. But it also allows filth. Although they have practising or non-practising Muslim families, number of non-muslims increasing day-by-day. Under common secular life style they leave Islam for their nafs. Those who leave Islam generally prefers atheism, deism or agnosticism. I don't know if I heard anyone who becomes Christian or Buddhist or some other established religion despite having Muslim families.
Turkiye is a good place to visit as a tourist. For living, I would choose one of the Arab countries to make it easier to learn Arabic.
You already seem to have something on your mind other than Turkiye, but someone may find this helpful to their situation.
    May Allah bless you all.

@@ZKh408Well, for current situation of the country we cannot blame him completely, although he made a lot to be blamed in his time. May Allah give him what he deserved. During his time and after him, until current political party regime, Muslims were oppressed and discriminated under them culturally and socially.
What I said above comment, those transformation of generation happened under current political party and its ruler Erdogan. Muslims are not oppressed as much as under former regimes but what happened is worse.
After current political party became the ruler, greedy Muslims became the oppressors. Not physical oppression. They oppressed the country in general. Nepotism, pillaging institutions and foundations, bringing people to place where they don't deserve... These were already common in Turkish society but no one before did it while showing off their Muslim identity. In general, to gain more money, greedy Muslims in power did everything that doesn't suit to a real Muslim. Since they love showing off their so called "Muslim" actions, like praying in public or continiously using the islamic terms (Allah, prophet, religion, adhan...) new generations started to going away from Islam. They are doing every haram thing for money under their Muslim skin. People blame them once, twice or thrice, then they will start to blame Islam. Because their Muslim skin is the common thing among them.
Probably no other political regime gave this much damage to perception of Islam. It's been 22 years since they come to power, they still have it for 4 more years. They did nothing good for perception of Islam or Muslim world, they will continue to not doing it. They had the power, they had the support of people, they could have done a lot of things for Islam and Turkiye. They didn't. All they did was showing off and fooling Muslims everywhere.
Muslims of this country had one chance and that chance had gone. A very powerful anti-Muslim wave will come to power in Turkiye. I don't know if they will continue to do same haram things, even if they continue at least they won't do it under their so called "Muslim" skin.
No place is good, none of the Muslim countries are how a Muslim country should be but Muhajirun should move to somewhere not lost yet. This country is lost. Hijrah is for winners.

The assumption that we speak English entirely is false. We use English as a second language, mostly for professional and business interactions. It will be challenging for him to integrate with the Muslim community without understanding Malay, as Malay is primarily used for sermons, local masjids, Islamic education, and communal activities. Sure, he'll be able to get by with just English, but to have a meaningful connection with the local Muslim community, he'll have to learn Malay. This will give you the maximum earning potential while living in a country where the cost of living is lower in future . Yourself and wife can then try out a few in form of "mini moves" of e.g. 3 months at a time before you settle on one.

I just wanted to encourage you on this decision, and tell you to not listen to some of the people that might try to convince you otherwise, because lets just say they look at it from a materialistic perspective (Edit: or they have unreal standards about it not affecting you), you're right to worry about the future of your family, from experience its clear that future generations in the west deviate more snd more until a big portion of them totally go misguided, a good seed is no good in a bad soil, being in a majority Muslim country just gives you another taste of life that you can't find anywhere else, simple things such as people behaviour, the Adhan, not being brain washed by people who want to ruin your family, being able to practice your religion in peace etc.., its not all rainbows and butterflies ofc, but the benefits outweight the harms very easily and its totally worth it.

Even when a child may grow up to be wayward for whatever reasons, the Islamic foundations instilled helps to bring one back to a straight path...imo

It was tough and took a few years to integrate even though I’m Turkish my blood. But what’s even worse is that it’s hard to follow the sunnah in this crazy inflation and people that strive after a secular lifestyle. I felt more surrounded by Islam in Sweden which is weird but even though I’m proud of my Turkish heritage I wouldn’t be proud to recommend to anybody to move here tbh if they have the chance to move to Malaysia or another Muslim country. My humble opinion would be (as a biased Malay Muslim Malaysian)
    (1) English language (communication & business, basic understanding) Healthcare, Infrastrucure, "Islamic environment", International "secular" & Islamic schools, Halal food, Relatively cheap cost of living, "modern" , touristy, accesibilty to other Far East countries = A
    (2) Politics & political stability, distance to Mecca & Medina = B (easy to perform the Umrah from Malaysia)
    (3) Distance to UK, US, Europe = C
    (4) Visa (at the moment, there are several types of visas) = B+
    (5) Corruption index = B+ (the current govt is working hard on this)
    (6) "Happy people index" = 6 out of 27 countries surveyed in Asia (not bad ,,,,,)
    (7) Weather = depends on your preference = it is hot and humid all year round
Anyway, talk to several people, Muslims & Non Muslims, seek professional advice, look for other UA-camrs (connect with them). There is a Malay saying = it is better to have rain of rocks in your homeland than rains of gold in overseas (the pasteur is not always greener on the other side)
Good luck! MAY ALLAH GUIDE YOU

As a revert i made Hijrah last year. Allah make it easy for you and your family.
Any move would be difficult and would take at least 1 year to begin to settle. It seems more sensible to move if you have family in a particular country. Rather than being a complete stranger Allahu Alam.
After a few months my kids have settled, picking up the language and culture. Keep in mind alot of muslims in Muslim countries dont practice islam or the Ilm(knowledge ) is less. But Alhamdolilah you can practice your religion and people understand. Its also a good way to give Dawah to muslims who were not raised with Islamic knowledge. But of course like anywhere there is Pros and Cons. Hearing Athan at every Salat subhan Allah.

      @@mari_000 Hello,
I don’t really know what a sap developer does, but I’m sure there are companies here that require that sort of work.
I’ve only lived in Muscat, but I’m sure Sohar or Salalah would be a good place to live. I’d recommend Muscat though, as it is more diverse and would be easier for foreigners. Being Arab and Muslim certainly makes it easier to live here, but people here are welcoming to everyone, very approachable and always willing to help Insha’Allah no matter where you’re from.
Schools are very good and most private schools are international, so social sciences would be taught in Arabic and sciences and maths would be taught in English, though there are schools that are fully Arabic (mostly public) and some fully English. The school system is similar to the UK’s. I studied in schools both here and in London and had easily integrated.
I cannot tell you about work as I have never worked in my life, but I know a lot of people who do obviously hehe I guess it’s like everywhere else.
Social life is very easy as everyone is friendly and neighbourly, so you’ll make friends in no time.
Muscat is not a pedestrian city, so you’ll need a form of transportation. I’d recommend getting a car or if your husband works in a company he might get a company car depending on his position. Public transportation is available; bus and taxi only.
The weather is usually hot and humid throughout the year, but this year winter was longer than usual, it just ended before Ramadan, so the weather in Oman seems to be getting cooler each year.

I would say dont consider UAE if you are referring to Dubai at all, its not even that diff from any non muslim country in most aspects, but Sharjah and Abu Dabi might be less haram. I agree Turkey is a good choice, just the people are a bit tough by nature. Did you consider Egypt? Im from Egypt and most people speak English, the food is great, you can easily learn Arabic and Quraan. But the only advice is if you were to go try to live in a closed compound not in a low-class area, so you dont come across people that take advantage of you being an expat.

It is better for you to study at an Islamic university and try to search for a source of livelihood in that city, because religious knowledge is your most important weapon for clarifying the Westernization challenges in Islamic countries.
Such as Imam Muhammad bin Saud University in Riyadh, Imam Muhammad bin Saud University in Ras al-Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates, the Islamic University in Sharjah, Umm al-Qura University in Mecca, or the Islamic University in Medina.
The most difficult thing in this time is that almost all Islamic countries are being Westernized for various reasons, such as openness to the requirements of Western tourists, or the transformation of Islamic countries into liberal democratic countries that have begun to search for materialism instead of the Islamic system of government, so they tend to drift and be drawn into the mistakes of the Western world.

    As-salaamu'ālaykoum Yahya,
    Akhi, you're quite mistaken.
Yes, there's madness in all Muslim countries and ofc people know parts of the UAE have some stuff going on. However, it should be made clear the Nationals are actually against it.
Also, you have Sharjah & Ājmaan, which are a lot more conservative/practising and within an hour drive of Dubai. Even parts of Dubai (away from downtown) are quite practising. Abu Dhabi is quite big and if you look away from the main city, there's a lot of good.
Also, lots of access to īlm. Major scholars are settled in UAE. Free Arabic programs etc, too.
We barely hear about this good because the Muslims who go from the West are too arrogant, they aspire to the fast life and love to complain about the people, when they themselves don't even bother to integrate and see what else is there! They only look at the fast life and live in a bubble.
Saudi, same thing, majority of the Nationals are against the entertainment industry. And I think it's important to note that these things that are going on are still relatively hidden (especially compared with where we are, in England). Meaning, it's far easier to avoid and, instead, focus on the good that is there. Whereas over here (in England) it's the opposite, as the Haraam is up in your face.
Lots of access to īlm and ofc the Haramain. Even in Riyadh you can easily avoid the filth!
If you're planning to travel back & forth from England regularly, then Morocco is your go-to. Only a few hours flight and cheaper travel. There are many practising areas (like in all Muslim countries) and Arabic is accessible to learn. (Same in UAE & Saudi). Look into Tangier. I've heard many good things about the accessibility to īlm there and the quality of life. You can get by with Arabic (not their dialect, just MSA or fus'ha, I mean - which is important for us to all learn as Muslims any way).
Easy move for you as your missus is Moroccan.
Turkey... I wasn't really feeling tbh. All the ex-pats there really live in a bubble, because to get around you need to know Turkish. Also, it's not as easy to settle there.
I know a few brothers who have visited Oman and even one who settled for a good few years. However, there are many Ibaadi Muslims there... If we make hijrah, we don't want to be like the other Western Muslims who just live in a bubble. Rather, we want to study our deen and benefit from the īlm resources and access to Arabic there.
    So something to think about.
Ultimately, akhi. Do your research, narrow down your options and then visit the places your thinking of. Spend a few months at a time in each place. And, please, don't do what a lot of ex-pats do... Make an effort to mix with the locals and learn the language and culture.
Make lots of duāa for Allah to guide you to a place which will help protect your deen & your family's, increase you in good, allow you to study Islaam and be a place of safety & security for yourself & your family.

I think if you are not looking for permanent residency or passport at the moment Sharjah(UAE) is the best because it have so many mosques, proper Islamic dress code and niqab. And living in UAE means having similar standard stuff as UK. It also have so many scholars. Only Dubai have bad reputation for families because its international hub now.
2nd Morocco is best because if you live in morocco with your wife for 5 years you will get passport. And Moroccan passport is strong. And it have so many beautiful places, and women there are have high haya than avg Muslims around world and Muslim women are also beautiful. Some parts are back ward but it also have international standard things so even if you work online or used to UK stuff it will get covered. I would personally suggest Morocco because once you have passport in 5 years even if you change country you can always go back. compared to if you live in Malaysia, Indonesia, Saudi, UAE its hard to get passport.
For Malaysia passport you might need to give up your UK passport as its their policy. But it have really good reputation and reviews by Muslims.
Turkey also gives passport easily but language barrier and so much difference in Islam and way of practicing will confuse the children. A friend of mine told that women would wear mini dress but when it time for pray they have niqabs in mosque so they use niqab to pray. And sufism etc. And turkey is also good for family. You know better than me as u experienced it first hand

Wa iyyak brother! Yes both countries do sound like amazing options, especially with how close they are to the Philippines - I think they're just too far away for the initial move, but in shaa Allah if it is right for us in the future, I'd definitely be open to it
      What are your thoughts?

How about you try Nigeria? But northern Nigeria it is great for a practicing muslim even though there are some propaganda about it tbh living in it for years i have never felt unsafe or threatened and you can practice how ever you want, English is also spoken even though not as first language. It is cheap and the no. 1 african Country when it comes to muslim scholars. The most spoken language is hausa but English is used formally that is work, school etc.

I pray to Allah to make your Hijra easy and bless you and your family also to provide you from (sources) you never could imagine.
I’m from Saudi Arabia, and I was confused when you talked about pubs being allowed because there’s no such a thing that had been announced publicly at all so I’m not sure where did you get this information. Alcohol and everything related to it is still strongly prohibited publicly and punishable by law.

My dear brother, may God grant you success and make your affairs easy for you, I also agree
The idea is that. I live in Manchester, the United Kingdom, I am also thinking of moving to one of these two countries, I believe that they are the best Arab and Islamic countries that adhere to religion and Islamic values. These two countries are Qatar or the Sultanate of Oman, Their people are among the best Arab people. And I advise you to stay away from the Emirates. They are like Western countries, secular and corruption is widespread. May God seek help in all your affairs and ask May God choose what is best for you, for what is best for you in your religion, your life, and your afterlife. May God grant you success and ease your affairs.

I think I don't know maybe my opinion on this will change, but I do not worry anymore as long as I live out being a muslim, especially as Islam is the fastest growing religion, I did not think about hijrah. As long as You do live out islam it does not matter in which country you live, as nothing in this life is guaranteed. Wars happen, earthquakes happen anywhere (islamic or non islamic countries). In the end , will you be able to die as a muslim or not that's the point. But wish everyone the best. Türkiye could also be a good option.

Come to Saudi Arabia if your aim is to meet great scholars. My humble advice is to join Islamic University in Madinah where you meet great scholars and build and strengthen your knowledge at least for few years. That will change your life. In addition, you will learn and pray in the Prophet’s Mosque then you can move some where else
