Burnout 2's crash mode has a specific feeling to it that Burnout 3 and Revenge don't. The combination of a kick-ass soundtrack, the sudden cut into damn-near silence, accompanied by a heartbeat, constant ticking from the damage total, and the chaos ensuing, then being followed by a helicopter overseeing the damage makes it feel like a real-life horror scene, rather than a game. Burnout 2 was an amazing game.
I remember I was driving classic at a sharp turn in Palm surf and while I was drifting hit a jump in the middle of the drift and rolled over the game considered it a crash still remember it I still have my console and burnout 2 even 3 and revenge need burnout 1 to finish my collection
Such a shame they never brought back this mode. All the subsequent games's crash modes lacked the elegance of this multiplyer vs higher scoring objects challenge.

I first started out with the original Burnout. Then this game. Never got a chance to finish either games cuz all of my nintendo gamecubes kept overheating, etc.
