Well it would make sense that after living together since they were like 15 and being basically cut/protected from the outside world (forbidden to go out, clubs, dating etc..) these 2 girls who are incredibly pretty (one being more sensible/girly and the other stronger/boyish) had developped deeper feelings over time that just friendship/sistership.
