Love this GLA, a very practical and attainable car for me and I think that instead of the vents, they put fog lights there, it would have been a nicer touch.
for 1,000 dollars more you can get the light package. to light up vents and change color pink to orange. mine mercedes didn't have the package r navigation. I have navigation on my phone. lol the salesman was thing listen bitch u didn't need it. your next mercedes make sure it full loaded lmafo

Joe, I like the fact that you have been exploring the glove compartment lately also I like that you fold down the back seats in all your reviews and mention the exact amount of cubic feet of space available. The GLA was never on my radar until your review. I was dead set on the RAV4 prime. But now I'm a little curious about this one.
At 6'2" this is definitely the smart buy for me. Nice review as always! I wouldn't buy any car without viewing your review first. Particularly like the many ways the media screen can be changed. I think it's best in class. A very practical and liveable automobile.
@Raschaud Farmer @Raschaud Farmer An engineer friend took me for a ride in his Acura Integra many years ago. He loved it! I was appalled at this noisy box on wheels. Never looked at Acura or Honda again from that one lasting impression. I might have missed some good cars but I'm still running my 2008 G35 so I didn't miss much. I never was a fan of small displacement high state of tune approach but in today's world, that has become normal. I give it a look anyway!
@Raschaud Farmer Just checked Raiti's review of a black RDX. Never review a black car cause you just can't see the bodywork properly. Well as I assumed, I didn't care for it. In particular, the placement of the non touch screen media center, the dynamic driving controller has a position front and center which I find strange as most do that function with a small switch on the console. Analog gauges is another miss. So, thx for the recommendation but it's a pass for me. At a of price 44k we're talking AMG territory where I would get around 300hp vs 270hp.
@Raschaud Farmer for me, the RDX looked like a quality build but a bit dated. I much prefer the side by side 10.5" screens on the MB. Cleaner design and more integrated.

Wow, the new 2021 design really defined the GLA and gave it a clear personality. Last December I went to a Mercedes dealership to buy a GLE and saw the GLA there. Both my wife and I both said "what is this? Too small to be even a compact SUV. Not a small station wagon. Maybe hatchback?" You are on point as always!!
I like it but a little small for me personally. I’m trying to get used the the interiors on all the new Benz. I’m not sure if I like how the screen goes all the way across. I think it’s just the placement of it seems a little low to me.
Been driving one for two weeks now. The stop-start is very jerky, my son's Prius is almost not noticeable when the engine stops and start but the Mercedes is very annoying. Talked with the dealer about the adaptive cruise control and automatic braking. It really isn't, If you put any input into the system, the system assumes you have control, and will let you drive up the back of the vehicle in front of you instead of applying the brakes to prevent an accident. This vehicle is not mechanically and electrically ready for prime time. The interior is great overall. There are some functions that make you take your eyes off the road and turn your head, e.g.seat heating, which is very dangerous for the driver. Glancing down is OK but the head turn makes it a no-go.
Like the design. The price more than kills it's value proposition but some will buy it nonetheless. No rear armrest but a power tailgate. Strange choices at 44k.

@Gabe Hernandez - the one video I saw showed it coming Nov 11th. My guess is that means Infiniti will release all the pertinent information and specs on that day to all the journalists and youtubers. It had a teased silhouette of the vehicle that looked rather sharp. I hope it's a good car because Infiniti needs something to put them back in the game. Though, it's probably just a coupe-ified version of the current QX50 that never was the hit they wanted it to be, rather than a replacement for the FX35/45. If it has the same "all new engine" VC turbo with a CVT, then it'll be doa.
Good review, cudnt help but notice, you are a foodie and cannot over the fact that you mentioned Guac cost extra 😂 For a $44K car, all I learnt is that this doesn’t have a sunroof. You never covered any safety features, does it have a blind spot monitor, or any such sort.

The reason they don't route the duel exhaust through the rear is so it doesn't muck the tubes up and leave exhaust burn marks / soot on the chrome. It's actually a big benefit :)
What is your alternative recommendation, this car is $44. And the 2 10.25” screens look great to everyone else? Are you every serious about this car? I doubt it. Chevrolet has a Cruze on sale for you today.
I was looking at the infiniti qx50 2021 first. I walked into mercedes benz showroom. mine mouth drop to the floor. I was thing about mine mercedes over the weekend. I called emailed the salesman . I want the one on the showroom floor. mine is blue with white interior, mine was 49k with the sunroof. I went to back to infiniti for a luxury vehicle way to plan Jane for me.

The x5 and the gla are two very different vehicles. The gla is an entry line mercedes suv while the x5 is close to the top of the bmw suv line
The best part of this redesign is that it's no longer shared with the Infiniti QX30. That was the drawback with the first gen. The QX30 has been axed.
