I have been making patterns in illustrator since 2017 and I had a project where images are raster and you helped me a lot.
thank you! I'm jusr studying Photoshop and was bothered about whether should I use a smart object or not! you cleared my doubts! Hugs♥
Super helpful, thanks Mel❤
You saved my life! 😅 A client was asking for a file with movable elements but I usually work etirely in Procreate delivering croped tiles... I've learned something new and super useful. THANKS!!!
this Pattern Preview sounds amazing for my that i wand to make textures for my game. now i have to download new Photoshop's version in the order to have this tool.
Pattern Preview is great, but you can create repeat patterns without the Pattern Preview tool. I have a couple of tutorials in this playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLjSk2wjeDqg26b6Op27o3yxzXa24z-lQ5.html
@@MelArmstrong that's good and all but wean showman make textures for video game like my Pattern Preview it's very handy in the order to see how notable the resting are.
I'm sorry, this may be a stupid question (I'm new to all of this), but how do you make pattern objects? I mean, you obviously paint them, but do you export each object (e.g. a birdie) individually and without any background?🙈
Yes I draw them individually. I mostly use Procreate on my iPad, then send them over to Photoshop to create the pattern with Pattern Preview. This video shows my process: ua-cam.com/video/yDZitOgh47I/v-deo.htmlsi=d8gRWULdxQl0h-2X
Can we automaticly change the space and size of the pattern?
but what if I want to export it as a larger size? so not just the pattern but a bigger size of the pattern?
Thanks! :)
Theres very little learning in this. You arent teaching you are showing .
Thank you for this fantastic tutorial. My pattern in Photoshop is cutting off when I try to add it to a larger document to create wrapping paper. Any tips on what I'm doing wrong?
