How do I get a thicker consistency out of it?? Mine still has a watery consistency after boiling

    •  3 роки тому +1

Hi there! The right consistency is watery and not too thick. If you want to thicken the liquid you can use a natural thickener such as xanthan gum, but it is no use doing it because the best and easiest way to use it is watery actually.

@ okay but does it lather just like regular soaps??

    •  3 роки тому +2

No. Absolutely not. Soap nuts are not like regular soap. They lather less than soap. The hotter the water the more soap nuts lather. By our experience we can say that it works best when used in washing machines or when you want to wash surfaces that do not require much foam such as glass, floor and countertops. Hope that helps.

@ okay thank you I was just gonna use it as a face cleanser

    •  3 роки тому +1

You're welcome. If you want more foam to use as face cleanser, shake the bottle or use a milk frother like we show on minute 2:50 and then sweep the foam over your skin. Let it sit for a moment and remove gently with a soft natural sponge. Works very well. All the best to you.

Thanks so much. I've been using them in bags, but on a cold wash, so am trying out the liquid version now 😁

How much of the liquid do you use for a small washing machine, please?

    •  4 місяці тому

Hello Sally. For the dishwasher we use just enough to fill the detergent compartment. For laundry we prefer to use the nuts in a small bag. If we were to use the liquid for laundry, we would use the same doses as if we were using a regular detergent (the recommended doses depending on the hardness of the water).

Mam if we use on skin like for body face so it will darken the skin

    •  3 роки тому

Hi Hassa :) I have fair skin and the soap nut liquid does not darken my skin. If you are unsure about your skin, you can test the use of the liquid on a less visible part of your body to make sure you do not have any kind of reaction.

What do you use as fabric softener when you use it as liquid detergent in the washing machine?

    •  2 роки тому +3

Hi there! As a fabric softener we use about 20ml of vinegar. It doesn't leave vinegar smell on the clothes, softens the fabrics and also helps prevent chalky deposits.

@ awesome. Thank you very much! Also, how many drops of essential oil would be better and which ones do you recomend?

    •  2 роки тому +2

We recommend you start with 10-15 drops of essential oils to see if you like the scent in your clothes. If you think it is very soft, you can increase to 20-25 drops. Just remember that the scent given by essential oils will not be as strong and long-lasting as it is with synthetic detergents. As for the aromas, lavender and tea tree work very well together and they are both antibacterial. Tea tree provides a fresh scent and lavender is that essential oil that will please everyone. Of course you can use other blends of your choice, but this blend is a good one and these essential oils are definitely not the most expensive. Hope that helps :)

how many times can you reuse this for washing dishes? how many times can it be reboiled?

    •  3 роки тому +1

Hi there! Boiling will release the saponins of the bark into the water, so the soap nuts can only be boiled once.

Can u tell where did u source soup nut. How much it is per kg.

    •  2 роки тому

You have to look for a supplier. The supplier must inform where the soap nuts were produced and the price always varies.

How to prseerve soap nuts for long time with out geting insects

    •  3 роки тому +2

Hi Sravani :) To preserve the soaps you can keep them in a glass jar with lid. You may also keep them in a cotton bag but the nuts tend to be sticky, so the glass jar seems to be a better option. To preserve the soap nut liquid you can keep it in the fridge for up to 3 weeks or in the freezer for a long time.

Can we use them regularly as face wash regularly

    •  2 роки тому +1

Hi there! Yes, you can use it regularly but if you never used it before we recommend you test it in a less visible part of your body to make sure your skin doesn't have any kind of reaction. Even though soap nuts are considered to be hypoallergenic, one must remember that each person is unique and may experience it differently, so it is always good to test it before using it for the first time.

Is soapnut suitable for as teeth brushing?

    •  2 роки тому +1

Hi! Some people use it to brush their teeth, but we do not recommend. Terrible taste inside the mouth!
