I Took Mogswamp To An Ancient City ▫ Minecraft SOS [Ep.5] ▫ Minecraft 1.20 Hardcore SMP

- Minecraft SOS continues!
In today's episode, Mogswamp arrives at the dig for his first Ancient City experience! We team up to explore the Deep Dark underneath my base area, encounter the Warden, and raid the city for all its loot.
Later, I tour Spawn to check out all the new shops and builds that have appeared there, and build my own contribution to the spawn area: a Nether Hub!
Minecraft SOS is a hardcore Mineraft server with a twist: anyone who dies can be revived within 24 hours using a Fate Coin. If the timer counts down to zero, they're lost forever and can never respawn! But the supply of coins is limited, and additional coins are only rewarded for completing challenges and difficult advancements...

I love pix's calm vibe in the ancient city in the midst of multiple wardens. Pix is totally the Yoda of the server.

Even when he's being an art connoisseur, Pixlriffs can't help but be a historian about it.
It's absolutely insane that both you and Owen found the Silence armor trim on this server in the first Ancient Cities you visited.
I'll take it after how poor the rest of the loot in this city was 😆

The Ward trim is a 4.8%/chest rate btw. Y'all really lucked out!
Minecraft RNG is funny like that. Then you have other series where people have to go to 10+ ancient cities just to find one Silence trim. Mathematically, there should be one every 3-4 Ancient Cities.
PIX you should start like a survival tours shop, where people can book "tours" to different and potentially dangerous places in Minecraft and you kinda guide/support them through it like you did for Mogs! Youre a very confident player
Maybe one side for yours and the other side for things like potion brewing, villager halls and trading, farms ECT idk

I'd love if the graveyard had a headstone for each death, with each progressive one getting more extravagant. Mog's death #5 might warrant a mausoleum.
Just outside there's a podium with diamond, gold, and iron blocks for the three players with most deaths on the server.
Pix and mob friendship is so wholesome. Pix kinda has like that older brother vibe, him just guiding mob was so wholesome! Usually when you freak out other people will do him being calm probably made mob more calm.
You're such a good leader keeping calm with clear instruction. this part of the underground is still entirely new to me, so I'll be taking notes 🤓

The reaction to missing the blue skies is so relatable...I haven't gotten the chance to explore the deep dark in Minecraft, but I have spent hours in the Chasm on Genshin.....Being underground in these games is so semi-realistic, makes you realize how refreshing the sky is.

Really love the nether hub addition - the dark oak makes it look on fire, keeping with the nether theme, yet it's clean and pretty enough to make you feel safe!
I love watching the fear when players go to an ancient city for the first time. I have personally never experienced it because the first time I went to one in survival my friend had completely cleared it out and was using it as a starter base. So I’m very used to walking around them.
(This doesn’t mean I don’t die to the warden, it just means that I don’t panic UNTIL I see a warden)

I recommend bringing torches when you raid ancient cities. Once you've cleared an area of shriekers you can place torches down to mark your progress and know which areas are safe.
I also just break the chests so I know I've cleared a structure.
Yeah, we were marking them with torches most of the time! We were pretty systematic with the chests though, the whole city is a kind of + shape and we worked clockwise from 6 to 6. I went back later and we hadn't missed any :)
@@Pixlriffs I just didn't see a lot of torches placed overall. I find it helps me a great deal to know with confidence where I can run if I spawn a warden (obviously that was more of a problem for Mog than for you!)
I also tend to thoroughly pacify the entire city and torch it up so I can go back through and clear the sculk for XP and reveal all the diamonds underneath.
when me and my friend raided an ancient city, he was pretty careless, and so he died, and then I died getting his stuff, and we got into a death loop. And then I experienced one of the sacariest moments of my life, when your on one heart, inventory is in shambles because you just picked your stuff and your friends stuff up and you have no totems on your inventory its pitch black your spaming your shulker box to place it to get totems but there are no blocks to place it on but YOU cant see that and you finally open it and equip it, and then the warden hits you and you elytra out and live. that was scary, and there's still a shulker box full of totems somewhere in that ancient city...

I think it's really lovely that you not only helped Mog through the ancient city, took the time to visit everyone's builds and add your signature to every book that needed it, but also your spawn build's function is to help the connection between everyone's space be safe and pleasant. It's so wholesome.
Mog needs to be protected at all costs - i admire his naivete like an old dog to a puppy.
Finally caught up on all the SOS episodes! I’m absolutely loving this series. The spawn builds are so diverse and interesting, I especially like how Mogswamp’s building and all the food trucks look! And your Nether hub turned out lovely, I hope you get all the signatures you need!!

Honestly, I feel like a nether hub is probably the most useful addition to spawn. Paired with the beacon shop.
They both significantly help with the convenience of all other players on the server. Especially with the beacons being so ridiculously cheap

This reminds me of when I found my 1st n thus far only ancient city. The 1st trip there was nerve-racking on my own, n not knowing how fast the warden moves or how long it takes to despawn or how bad the darkness effect is. But then I brought my friend to explore his first ancient city n he was so scared that he didn't even go in, he just made sure mobs didn't come in from the cave n had a spyglass to spot the warden if it spawns. Meanwhile I was running around like a mad woman since I had alrdy dealt with a good chunk of the shriekers. I was super calm while in danger n he was freaking out while in relative safety 😹😹😹

18:05 it took me 18 ancient cities on my smp to find this.....
I found something cool during my survival island challenge in Minecraft. Magma blocks can pull down fish that swim over it, get killed and drop fish and bones. With about 12, and a full Minecraft day, I got 15 fish, both types, and 7 bones on average.
