I guess everyone one in our beautiful Solomon Island needs to understand the fact that we need all our development partners. We only need a leader who has been tested and proved to be strong and fair in decision making. Friends to all; Enemy to none. God bless Solomon Island from shore to shore 🙏

PM Sogavare is a firm and decisive leader. He is respected by well rounded leaders of the world except for leaders from the former colonial countries who thrived through theft of natural resources from other countries and through destructive wars. Sogavare understands the local and international dynamics very well. His government's decision to strengthen diplomatic relationships with the People's Republic of China is well thought out and futuristic. See more here. ua-cam.com/video/EMEHj4BnDGw/v-deo.html
The reactive western world is pissed off and antagonistic towards China because China has overtaken most of them in their financial strength, economy, standard of living, health measures, education, innovative technology in space technology, railways, bridge building and just about every facet of life. Western propaganda should not determine your national destiny/journey, nor should they waver your goal in life. They have been around for a long time and have done little to assist with your country's development aspirations.

I prefer Jeremiah Manele, he's the right one. China helps alot in so many ways, thanks to them but we Solomon islands should not rely too much from other country to build us, let's build our country ourselves as we have many resources to start with.

we need change as normal slang for Solomon Islanders but we don't know change start from each individual behavior like for example even HCC ban selling of belnuts in Honiara street but people still continue selling belnuts in the streets. So this shows our attitude is the biggest barrier of achieving change in our country Solomon Islands.🇸🇧

TBH I don't know why China is an issue in regards to influence for their decision. There are other donors we can assume. This interview needs to be more inclusive to make it a fair response from the people.

I don’t know why people don’t want Sogavare and on the same line, I don’t know why people don’t like China. Remember, China is the one and only biggest trade partner of SI. I don’t see China the problem. It is the government that doesn’t take its time to educate populations or thus duim awareness lo media platform if its too expensive or if me need immediate change. Like if they did than people won’t have a diff perception lo China. Our parliament has the right to make decision regarding whats best for the country. Lelebet titing nma

Wrong question and wrong way. To elect a PM in Solomon Islands as per Constitution is not the people, it's up to MPs. People elect MPs. Until the day when the constitution changed for people to elect the PM, then you can go around asking people for their preferred PM . This kind of activity continues to bring false narrative on peoples choice. Just remember China is the number one trading partner for Solomon Islands, even for Australia.

I preder Lilo to be the prime minister. When he was a prime minister our economy grows. Thus country need someone that can help our economy grow. Peter Junior he is goodas a doplomat but not a politician. Economy should be the priority so we need someone that is capable of bringing our economy back. Lilo is the best candidate to help the economy. If our economy is not the priority at this time this country will still face with unemployment and services in every sectors will not delivere.

@@vavaqulama7151 that's a lame excuse. Other Pacific Island countries also going to the same thing. But economically they didn't go as bankrupt as this Solomon Islands. Why because they have transparent and corrupt free governments. The prime minister you are believing in finish his term as PM in December of 2023 with a loan of $1 billion plus. There's no solid evidence of what the money was used for and where it was spent. We people should rethink about this. Don't fall for cheap politics. We have been lead by a government that adopt cheap politics for the past 5 years. I think our senses should remind us now.

Yet their economies didn't go as bankrupt as our economy. That covid 19 is just a lame excuse for all the failures the previous government have. The poor health system and shortage of medicine recently experienced in the country should remind us now that we need reform.
