Locky is a man after my own heart, getting so excited about the eagle and the bird in the tree! And reading the placards about history and cattle, that’s how hikes are meant to be 💪🏽
Nice walk! I'm a little surprised you managed to get all the way to Garie Beach as the track between Little Garie and Garie has been closed for some time due to rockfall issues after heavy rain a couple of years ago (which has also closed the road in to Garie). Also at the moment there is work being undertaken on the Palm Jungle portion of the track until at least the end of June and that area is closed too (but it can be bypassed via Garawarra Farm). If anyone was planning to replicate this walk I would suggest they check the National Parks website for whether there are any closures affecting the track.
The lemon provides a touch of piquancy (here in Britain, fish & chip shops offer malt vinegar). Your 'take-away' food appears decidedly superior to some!

I had to google piquancy 😝 new word for the day, thank you.
Australia is off the chain interesting to this American. Flora and fauna, the terroir, oceans on all sides. . . Cuties too?!
This beach is so pretty! Have you ever been to Mornington peninsula in Victoria? It’s very beautiful too. I reckon you would both love it!
Sure have! Went to the peninsula hot springs, loved it! But haven’t done any hikes near there yet, can’t wait to go back!
