    There is an easier way.
    Make sure you set the "make a quiz" button on.
    Simply click the quiz from Google Classroom directly and click the little edit button (looks like a pen).
    From there click responses and then you can check each answer individually or as a summary

      is there a way where student's scores are automatically generated in the __/100 (highest possible score) part or do we need to manually input the their scores? or does it automatically add?

    You can also click on the little green square on the top right on the responses page. It will create a spreadsheet with all your students' answers and their scores. It even includes a timestamp as to when they took the quiz. The spreadsheet goes right into your Google Drive. It will have the same file name as your quiz but will add (responses) so you know it's the response form.

    Hey! Thanks for the video, teacher! You were in the right place at 3:00 minutes into the video. When it takes you to the 'actual form file', it should have a little pen icon (edit this form) at the bottom right of that page. Click it, and you should land on the page where you see the "Responses" tab at the top. That's where the submitted responses are. Hope this helps. Keep up the good work. Be safe. Take care. HI-have been using google classroom with forms and linked spreadsheets for a while but have started to have a problem-maybe someone else has experienced this. I have a student who is listed in the class under people. She submits her response to the google form, I am notified through gmail that she has submitted it, I see on the classwork page that she has turned it in, however, her answers do not populate in the spreadsheet with everyone else, nor do her answers show up on the response page. Consequently I have no way of seeing her answers (that I know of) I am not having this problem with any other students. They all submit the form, I see their individual responses and eventually their answers populate in the spreadsheet that is linked to the form. Does anyone have any idea what I can do?

    • @nicholasstahl713
      @nicholasstahl713  4 роки тому

      Not 100% sure, but it may have something to do with the Google account/email she is logging in with. Our students all have school gmail accounts, and have to use those to log in to Classroom and submit Forms responses. I'm not actually sure if it will LET them log in with other email accounts, but I imagine it would cause issues like this if they did.

      You are not the only one to have this happen (See Linda Whitelt-Foster's comment below). As best as I can tell, it has to do with the email account/Google account they are logged in with when they submit. I had it happen a couple times early on, because my kids were logged in with personal emails, rather than the .edu email the school provided them with. Not positive that's was the cause, but it hasn't happened since I told them all the make sure they used thier school email.

      There is an option, under settings, when you create the assignment/quiz to collect email addresses with responses. It sounds like that box was NOT checked when you created yours. Unfortunately, I don't know of any way to determine who those responses came from. My suggestion is to give whole-class feedback, using the anonymous responses to point out common mistakes or misconceptions, or you could always recreate the quiz with the "collect email" box checked, and make them redo it.

      Unfortunately, no. You can edit the assignment and have it start collecting emails for future responses, but there's no way I have found to identify the ones you already got anonymously. If it's a short assignment, you could have them redo it. If it's a longer one, I'd suggest breaking down the grouped responses and giving whole class feedback. "It looks like everyone got #3 correct! I'm proud of you guys, it looks like you really have a handle on (concept x)! It looks like we have a split on #7 though, let's take a look and figure out which group has it. Almost everyone missed #12, let's review that item, and see what went wrong. Was there a problem in the format of the question, or was it just a tough one we weren't ready for yet?" Etc.

      There is an option, during the creation of the quiz, to only accept one response from each email address. It's hard to be sure without access to the actual quiz, my guess is that's causing your issue. If you took the quiz once, or perhaps stopped partway through and/or accidentally submitted a response before you were done, it would not allow you to submit another response. In any case, your professor can simply delete the existing response from your email address, and you will be able to re-submit. I would recommend you contact them.

      @@jefrisitohang57 It is hard to figure out why you would need the email address to see the answers. I assume you can't see the names of your students to figure out who each response belongs to. If that is the case, I recommend that next time you make a quiz, the first question is always the name of the student, make it with the option of SHORT ANSWER, and click on the option REQUIRED so that each student can't send it without a name. If you do have the names on your quiz, then go to the top section of the quiz, click on responses, and then on the top right side of the quiz you will see a green square, very small; of you just place the cursor over it (don't click on it yet) something will appear that says "create a spreadsheet". Click on it, two options will appear, choose the one on the top, click on CREATE, and it will download to your computer a spread sheet with all the grades. I hope it helps.
