I remember the clone campaign being an absolute nightmare because of how completely invincible the droideka shields felt. Plus whenever you have heroes on both sides, unless you have a vehicle, it was so hard to kill the hero even once because the basic trooper's grenade doesn't launch. Man, I remember picking the pilot every time and bee-lining it towards the Geonosian hangar in the gunship to steal one of the fighters, because good lord, they were extremely broken in terms of damage. Each shot was guaranteed to do a little chunk of health off of any vehicle it hit while others took off pixels or had limited ammo/long reloads.
Fun fact about the gunship strategy: if you have a full crew on board, they will jump out and off themselves when below 10 reinforcements! The game refuses to allow you to save the team from the safety of the air lol
The Kamino level is slightly different in Battlefront 2, while the outside platforms are the same, the inside area is a lot bigger and with more locations than in Battlefront 1. In Battlefront 1 the inside is basically only that meeting room where Obi-Wan first met Lama-Su and talked to him in those chairs, with only two halls both leading to an exit, while in Battlefront 2 its a lot more expansive with several winding halls, the meeting room, and two sperate DNA chambers. Despite that, this version of Kamino is one of my all-time favorites, I have fond memories of playing this level during a rainy day weekend as a kid.
The Techno Union ships and Imperial AT-ATs have canonical weak spots that you can hit and do extra damage to. Based on their depiction in the movies. The Techno Union hardcells have weakspots above the fuel pods on the sides and the AT-ATs' necks are unarmored.
I have fond memories of watching my dad play when I was a kid and him just finding a place to camp as a sniper and absolutely demolishing the other team
With the Genosis mission you're not alone, it is majorly difficult. I usually have to get in a gunship as a pilot like you did but instead of destroying the techno union ships I'll focus all fire on their troops to try and get their numbers down giving my team a fighting chance . Because holy crap do they overwhelm us
Oh yeah, I had to try it a few times, We may have the invincible Mace Windu, but the Droids have the Geonosians backing them up, for places to spawn thanks to the Techno Union ships, and a massive map that is hard to traverse without a vechial with a lot up places Ddroids can hide and shot you from. It's truly the most difficult level of Battlefront 1.
You know it's funny, every time I've tried to play OG BF2 on its "Elite" Difficulty, I have had a rough time, to the point I stick to the...what is it the "Normal" difficulty? I know OG BF2 has only like 2 difficulties compared to BF1's Easy/Medium/Hard. Granted I suppose part of that issue I kind of feel like the teammate AI preforms worse in BF2 personally from my experiences. Interesting to see someone say that BF2 was easier on hard for them. Really glad I found your channel thanks to the LOTR: Conquest full playthrough video!
If you choose the Hard Difficulty the one major difference is that you are not able to see the enemy units on the minimap unless they start firing at either you or your allies. It's the same way as in the sequel Battlefront II 2005.
@jaredfetzer7041 I'll try to. If I don't, the only reason will be because I forgot. I already recorded Ep 3 and I was gonna take a break before hitting the other half of the campaign, so It's gonna be a bit until I record for this game again
I recently played through the campaign and the way I beat Geonosis was bombarding droids with the LAAT endlessly. Then sniping endlessly for Kamino. Any attempts at normal tactics failed even with no deaths.
On geonosis I like to go jet trooper, rapidly destroy the ships and then exploit the fact he takes no fall damage to drop out of the gunship into the spire hangar, cap it and hold it. This will mean the droids will be surrounded and have no spot that isnt the east/west bunkers and derelict to spawn from. holding the spire as jet trooper is fun as shit and a nice challenge
Also from the hilltop you can shoot emps directly onto those points and get free kills but overextending too far out of the spire can be risky in my experience.. maybe a bit of a boring way to play but I feel like the jet trooper is best playing this defensive role. 6 grenades lock down chokes, commando pistol can rapidfire kill everything that isn't a droideka which is handled by your emp, you can easily fall back or reposition to the ammo/health droid when need be and really just make the spire into an impenetrable fortress. I once managed to clutch 40ish tickets to 1 by holding the spire until I couldn't anymore n simply flying to cap another point to lure the remaining droids out after me, just to return to the spire again and repeat till it was joever
Use the Gunships to cover and escort the Walkers to the Techno Union Ships, they do a better job destroying them. Focus on enemy vehicles, Missile Troopers, Droidekas, and Turrets. The troops that spawn off them will take over any command posts along the way.
Double your crouch button while moving in a direction mainly left or right to dodge roll took me hours to find it. Also the hardest levels for your are going to be cloud city & Endor which I still haven't re beaten.

I'd love to hear a clone say "Sniping's a good job mate."
Guarantee you'll not go hungry
I remember I’d spend countless hours playing this and the second one when I was a kid still love playing them today too

I don’t think I’ve ever known that the vehicle ammo can be reloaded.
Kamino in BF2 uses the same assets so it looks the same at a glance but has a different layout and is a unnique map
5:33 you can roll, but only sideways. If you left or right and the jump button.
Yeah, it won't be until vid 3 when I figure that out
@@ciudad1696 nice. Awesome video btw

@@zexalbrony4799 Droidekas make every map hard imo.
Nah, Endor is hard - command posts change literally as soon as you turn around 😬
I love the base unit with the assault rifle. It is always the best!

I find it funny how there’s a speed glitch on the gunship that absolutely launches you out of the map, and you can’t stop it after you activate it
... I'm sorry, there's a what now? How do you pull that off

I... actually never knew that, about either game, thats cool! I need to see if that's true next time I play
@ciudad1696 do you think you could give me a little shout out in your next video for that little knowledge.

The worst campaign levels are the Yavin 4 ones and the Kashyyyk Islands level where you have to fight the Wookies.
I'm coming up on Yavin 4. Now you got me worried
I remember the clone tanks did a LOT more damage than the gunship did.
