which is crazy one guy has all this knowledge on 90's and early 2000s tuner culture and possibly more while being able to code an entire game that has absurd amounts of customization to a point where it sets a standard.

This is the first time I’ve seen this game and one of the best things I noticed in this game that, when combined, is slacking in all 3 of the racing games I play right now (nfs unbound, forza and CarX), is the checkout system. Unbound has great customization but I hate doing it piece by piece, forza has checkout but not many options, and CarX has both but it’s all one price for whatever you pick (even if it’s just one part). Can’t wait to see how it turns out.
Im so buying this game when it comes out... WoW. Just to have a Katana as a shifter!

There was a game very similar to this I remember playing on Xbox 360 called Import Tuner Challenge!! it was awesome for its time
Yeah, that was a successor to the Tokyo Extreme Racer series, and was the last game that studio made in this genre.

This is giving me flashbacks to Import Tuner Challenge, the customisation wasn't crazy but it did things other games wouldn't bother with at the time.
ITC was AWESOME. Wish I still had my 360 and a copy of it. Great game. The customization at the time was so sick. Still have my copy of Wangan Midnight for ps3 tho..

I feel that they took inspiration of midnight club customisation, just wish the wheels could be just as adjustable as it was in LA

game is cool but the community was toxic and owner was useless in helping about the toxicy, and somehow alot of people dont like it in general cause it never releases. pretty much just drama all around taking up hype once a year just to dissapoint everyone

For rough estimate ignoring current conversion amount on the market. Just devide by 100 for a Japanese Yen to USD currency conversion. I hope in the future they do an update on customization level. Regular mode as shown in this video. Professional mode where everything can be changed by millimeters.
