"Buy the map DLC of the state you live in". Well, I can't see Poland on the list or on the real world map of the US 🤔 I just buy all DLC maps to unlock the whole map, and you'll end up doing the same if you love this game as much as I do (even including paint job packs)
I disagree with you on the maps. It's not identical in my opinion. I, someone who lives across the pond, can see differences between states (map DLC's). Kansas to me feels different than Texas for example. I like to play ATS to casually explore. And if that's what you want, then you can't go wrong with any maps in my opinion. For those who just casually want to truck around, I agree to get Washington and Oregon − offers indeed decent variety.
The best solution is to catch a Steam sale. I was eye balling my now all time favorite game, (retired UPS driver) but only play in VR. I happen to come across a video on how to play it in VR, which was during December winter sale. The base game is $19.99. I paid $5.35 and after making a few runs i was hooked and went back for ALL the DLC's which is listed at $206.67 and I paid $127.75. Not only is everything well worth it, but it supports the game and developers to keep them DEVELOPING and updating. Although I agree about the paint jobs, but If you don't support your neighborhood businesses and they shut down or leave now what. I got a free Rezbilt Peterbilt 389 from the workshop and so happy with it i made a $20 donation to the content creator. Some paid truck mods are close to 80 bucks!!!. Pay to play and make it stay, a good sale will make you exhale. Not calling you out at all, just a little wisdom from a old salt dog. Keep the rubber side down and the shiny side up.
i was also eyeballing this game for a few months because it just seemed cool to drive around the US. i bought it a few days ago and whoo boy, i got it for a steal! a current sale that’s happening made it do i could get it for 2. dollars. that isn’t a typo. i managed to yoink this game for 2 flippin dollars. and i’ll say this: that was the best 2 dollars i’ve ever spent. after seeing how much i loved this game, i tried to buy 2 dlcs but could only afford one. so i chose Oregon. ( side note the dlc was more expensive then the base game during this sale lol ) i am in LOVE with this game rn and as soon as i can i will buy more dlc. I want to go on longer deliveries but my slight, pesky of not having money to get more dlc is kiiinda in the way lol.
I would agree about stuff like paint jobs and interior dlc because the workshop ones work fine. I disagree on the maps. When I first got the game a few months ago, I got the bundle which came with a couple extra states, mostly because I wanted to go back to a state I use to live in. Today I bought all the other states in a bundle and then Utah alone so I could get every current dlc. I have to say I can tell the difference between them. I would say that if you like the game you will end up just buying it to have the full map and for it to be a true American trucking sim (once all the states eventually get released). I wouldn’t get the tire one as you can just download a mod for it (same for cabin) I can agree with the special cargo dlc. I picked it up on sale and enjoyed it but don’t see myself using it much.
I also agree with you by buying them all in a bundle as I stated in the video. I also definitely agree if you enjoy this Gane your going to buy all of them anyways lol. This is mainly to help people out that can't decide which one to go with. Thanks for watching 😁
QUESTION I’ve bought a few DLC I see a few of them downloaded but my question is why is it so dam hard to to find the content I purchased and how do I download the rest of them and is there any way I can make it easier to find my content n play because I don’t have a lot of time as it is to sift through all this crap thanks man
It shouldn't be hard to find the dlc content. The map dlc are self explanatory, if you bought a state then drive to that new state. If you bought the paint jobs then paint a truck with that color. If you bought the special transport pack, then you will need to search for the freight that is special transport and that's it. Now if you are talking about you bought mods from a 3rd party, that is a different story on how to use them
I paid for texas, and sucks because they don't have my town Nacogdoches, and also when you leave tenaha it skips timpson, and garrison, tx andbgoes right into lufkin. If they going to sell this and charge money for it why can't they get it right first.
I wish they would make a map in game that goes up there. I know there is a mod on the secondary websites that have the whole country and goes up there and down to Mexico also. I can't remember if you have to pay for them though
@restouler I agree, with you in those mods, too much space in between. I'm sure some day in the future we will have it. It'll be American Truck Simulator North America in another 20+ years lol
I wish they would put a tow truck in the game (free) I can't find a free mod with out paying for one. My kid,s showed me this game now Iam hooked on it. lol Thanks for sharing.
I agree I've been saying that for a long time now. Same thing with a dump truck to that would be cool. Welcome to the community, this game is very addicting to play
This is where you are wrong Red you said the same thing when you and Flight boycotted the Idaho Spud Event. All Maps are Required! you don't pick and choose just because you think C2C is better it is not. Ever mod map has requirements and the base requirement is you get all the maps. I agree on paint jobs they are cheep but I disagree on you using mods off of Steam, Modland, ATS Mods, and other sites because they are shady. 1.50 comes out in a few weeks what you said in this video is now irrelevant. Map Mods are cut ands paste ATS maps are finely detailed except New Mexico, Arizona, and Southern California so what you said about maps is wrong. Most of the mod authors are good and their content is high quality and you don't need to update just patch it when ATS updates. Who I recommend if you want a mod map Promods, Reforma, and content made by Recon who I don't recommend John Rudda, any mods made before the current patch made by Manrid including the C2C which excludes Kansas, any mod that requires you to downgrade, and mods from Modland because they are the wrong version. If you want a truck or trailer mod get them off Steam or buy them from the third party store do not go to Modland, the ATS Mod trucks are junk and outdated, and some mod authors retired and their trucks are no longer made. Scenery mods you need to be careful they can crash your game because they screw with your settings. and for gosh sake DO NOT MESS WITH THE SKYBOX OR INSTALL MODS THAT MESS WITH THE SKYBOX! the Dynamic Weather Mod obsolete as of last update the Phases of the Moon Mod also obsolete don't screw with it and the Mountains Mod You Don't Need It! SCS fixed that also. Mods will get you so far but they will break your computer if you install the wrong ones thats why I never run mods unless I have to and if it is outdated I toss it.
This was a dlc maps for base game. This was not including mods. Just the paid dlc through steam...not mods. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks for watching 😁

Good thing there's Euro Truck Simulator 2 then. :) Poland was the first DLC.
@@uuh000 I own both for 10+ years.. and yes, all DLCs as well 😂
I’m in Wisconsin so gotta wait quite a bit til that releases 🙃

Just bought everything on sale, really loving this game I don’t even know why I’m in HVAC. But driving in this game made me want to become a trucker 😂
Your not kidding, this game is so dang fun and addicting for sure. Thanks for watching

The DLC is currently on sale. I'm buying the northwest and southwest bundle, and cabin accessories.
Awesome congrats on the purchase. Have fun trucking. Thanks for watching 😁
You have all of the DLC maps have you tried the coast to coast mod? It adds all the other states so long as you have a certain number of states.
I paid for texas, and sucks because they don't have my town Nacogdoches, and also when you leave tenaha it skips timpson, and garrison, tx andbgoes right into lufkin. If they going to sell this and charge money for it why can't they get it right first.
they can't include every town in the state the maps are scaled down to only include the places they found to be most significant
Because of memory requirements and playability.
I live in waco, it is generally correct and playability is fine.
I live in Ontario 🇨🇦🥺

get all maps, deactivate all of them. 100% the game on vanilla maps then enjoy DLC maps. chase those achievments.
Good thing I live in California then 😁
That is a very good thing for you.
Thanks for watching
Ok so what's a good suggestion for a map when you live in the south? NC to be exact but it's not in the game lol.
It’s coming Arkansas and Missouri are next so the south will probably get done before they tackle the east coast
I'd say it definitely will be coming soon. Thanks for watching 😁
