I find it funny that some of the backgrounds have prisoners just hanging out watching Ripley wipe out aliens. Like they wouldn’t be running for their lives.
I would always joke that Ripley would stop and yell at them "WHY ARE YOU NOT HELPING ME!? WE ARE OVERRUN BY DEADLY ALIENS! ALSO WHY ARE THERE GUNS ON THIS PRISON PLANET?!?!?"
@@nymx_ Prisoner: Oh, thank God you're here to save me! Ripley: Sorry, this is a TAS and you're not part of the objectives. Bye! Prisoner: Wait, what? *Facehugger attaches to his face*
Thanks! I never hear anything about this game or people speed running it. It happened to be one of the games I purchases back in the 90's and I was curious as to how fast a TAS would complete it. Now we know!
Wow, I learnt a few things with this game despite playing it a lot back in the day and never achieving anything. Turns out the beeping noise in the background is a signal that you finished the mission. You don't have to save all prisoners nor kill the alien infestation either. Most of the missions are the same. I'm glad this got TASed finally.
:) Thanks. Yeah, I tried to eliminate all the unnecessary steps. It sure cut a lot of time. I would have loved it if the game had more variety, but all it did was get harder as it went on.
@@nymx_ Yeah, the UI is rather lackluster with no kill streaks or side missions, dang you don't even get a high score. Thank you for literally bothering to TAS this game.
! wow, ok so if the indication that a mition is almost finished, it might be almost finished but if i were you i'd rescue everyone. ok might make gaming a bit more slower but it's best to help everyone not anyone
I rented this game and it took me way too long to realize that there's an echoing tone that plays when you've completed your mission and that you need to go back to the console.
For real, I feel like I'm at work when I play this game; everyone's putting in support tickets and I gotta run around and fix stuff. Of course, I don't have to deal with bloodthirsty xenomorphs while trying to do my job, the clients are bad enough on their own.
I've put this game for almost 20 years before actually trying to beat it. And honestly I enjoyed it pretty much from start to finish. I wish I've played it rather much sooner than later, but playing stupid Mega Drive version did some leave some doubt that SNES version could be any better.
@@johnjoseph9713, nah. It's not about being different. Entire level design was made around the timer. Take out the timer and it will become a mediocre shooter.
I have to disagree with the ones that claim the genesis/megadrive version was better. SNES version has more detailed sprite work and smoother animation, more mission variety, longer game, better music and sound quality.
I've played this game for years via emulation and have yet to figure out what the objective to the game is. With monsters constantly respawning, there's not really any point to the game. I've always thought the game looked great, though.
really polite of ripley to log off every time so the aliens can get on the computer when she’s not using it
It's good security policy, too. Ripley is a diligent netizen.
The music in this game is incredible!

Maybe it's like the old webcomic Kid Radd where NPCs not having health bars makes them invincible.
the bank shots with the grenade launcher never cease to amuse me.
Been waiting this TAS for years now.
It was worth the wait!

@@nymx_ I particularly liked the ladder dash tech, not forgetting about the many preemptive grenade rounds bouncing around.
Great job!

Aliens : Repair Simulator
Let's be fair: they were just try to make an Aliens game wearing Alien 3's skin, but were like "Aliens had a lot of welding, right?"

Repairing with a gun and flamethrower. Ok..
Ripley's tech support/rescue service
the intro and outro are very close to the movie :D
Thanks.
Look at that guy go, what a hero!
HollyWood Video hated me for not returning this one. I wonder what the late fees are these days.
Ask this on AL BUNDY ;) PS: Miss.DeGroot's lost book^^
@Amanda washington aw! lol we all do stupid mistakes but you should seek revenge and do action of your own to make things as they should lol
I didn't even realise there was a SNES version of this game.
Nice video.
In which Ridley does her tasks
So was it the aliens that were hanging people from chains?
Yeah. Ignorant idea
No ding dong the entire place is literally a prison.

The movie did it faster.
Jesus Christ. If it takes a TAS almost 2 hours, how long would it take a regular Joe to finish this game?😅
Good and bad game at the same time
Too Bad Konami didn't keep the License to the Alien Franchise, Because they probably would have made a Better Alien 3 Game than Flying Edge/Acclaim.
jesus this game was boring, 2hr of running in circles freeing prisoners and welding shit
Sega aliens 3 is better than this. The aliens do catch you off guard.
Sega version is still the best compare too SNES version
