Has it occurred to you, that she’s thinking same way about you? 🦉 = That useless human doesn’t know a thing or two about us, nor does he know where to find food in the wild.
Actually that owl nest got years 2 years ago on 215th Street in East Lakewood right next to Cypress for many years right across my mom's house 12550 East 215th Street Lakewood. We often enjoyed watching it
One time i had to rescue one of these. He was in my yard in Northern Michigan and couldn't fly i thought he was injured so i called the wildlife rescue and they told me if i can catch him theyll come pick him up. I did and put him in a box in the basement. Turns out he was starving to death and couldn't fly because no energy. He didn't migrate for fhe winter and couldn't find food. They eventually rehabilitated him and released him up on the border of Michigan and Canada aboit 100 miles north of where i lived. Same thing probably happening here. He needs to go north asap.
I spotted one of these beauties, at night, in Glendale bordering Burbank near the Ranchos I think last year around this time. Landed on the top of a post I caught something flying in the night corner of my eye, big exactly like this owl, majestic and beautiful.
I've seen a white owl in my neighborhood park for years, cool owl though, hope it lives a full life in this urban jungle or safely finds it's way home.
I had the pleasure to see a few, while working in Athens, between 1987 and 1989. Love Greece it’s people and it’s awe inspiring culture. My favorite time about Greece was the golden age of Greece 🇬🇷 in the time of Pericles, just call me Alcibiades ok, thank you. 🫡
At the distance those people are get to that bird says to me that it’s an escaped bird probably from a raptor educational program. If it had been a wild snowy owl they would not be able to get that close.
Your all late he's been here over 20 years flown over my house as a kid in mo val,ca first time I seen him was in the 4th grade 1999 he Flys all over so cal
Rare doesn't even start to describe this sighting. A Snowy Owl in Southern California, I would think something is physically wrong with this owl. It will have a tough time finding food.
What does the Bible say about owls? Oh yeah, they represent judgement. I wonder how that could play out? Seek the Lord while He may be found. God bless us all ❤🙏✝️
Birds are so under-rated. Intelligent & free. Just pure freedom to do whatever they want.
Owls are dumb as rock. Good for nothing other than their hunting skill.

Their brain is smaller than ours and when in captivity have shown no signs of above average intelligence.
The fuck do you mean, bro?

Hope he's okay and flies to proper weather soon!?
Exactly
I think she has dementia or mental illness, that's why it's all the way over here in LA.
so wondrous and majestic
It was in West Hollywood a couple months ago.
Do these owls stay in one spot for awhile? People who traveled very far to see it must have a lot of trust that the owl won't fly away ?
It’s crazy people are out today 1/07/23 again watching this awesome owl
I used to work in the Arctic and saw these all the time. They used to hang out on signs by the road because there were no trees there.
Beautiful
Back in the early 90's there was one in the city of Lynwood.
Not there wasn’t
It turns out the owl is just on vacation (he wasn't allowed back into the Arctic without a negative COVID test).
Aha-hahahaha 😆😂👍
Elle est magnifique 💌
There was a snowy owl that did the same thing in Texas back in 2018 or 2019. This was during this same time
In Greece you could find them for pets almost a decade ago...
I had the pleasure to see a few, while working in Athens, between 1987 and 1989.

It's migrating to the South like the movie "The Day After Tomorrow" ❄⛄
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Can anyone share the address of where it is now if you know? Thank you!

Indeed, from 56 comments there are a couple already.
Thumbs up 👍
I think it was someone's pet and it escaped.
The Snowy owl probably blongs to someoone and he got away
Exactly
I seen one in Texas
Maybe he was raised in a home with people
Wonder if they would of follwed it into compton lol
Hope there are more, and hope they wreak havoc on rats and other pests. Thats would be awesome
Except a lot of idiots here in CA put out rat poisoning and it kills the birds and other animals 👎
This isn't a good thing that means this snowy owl is struggling to find food in the artic region.
Yes, AND now it has to compete with the Mexican Tecolotes A much bigger raptor that makes the high Desert home.
Whats her social?

Lmao I used to see 2 white owls every night when I used to work night shift.
You are seeing local Barn Owls. They nest here. The Snowy Owl shown here doesn't nest here.
