Hi I have the problem that the program is restricted after i have installed it. Ive basically made the same steps you have made. How can i use it non-restricted?
Hi, thanks for asking. Following this link www.plcnext.help/te/Product_range/PLCnext_Engineer_Simulation_license.htm you'll find everything on licensing.
Hi, the simulator does not support virtual or simulation IO's, but the user can configure the real hardware structure and force inputs in the data lists for testing the application.
Hi. Thank you for the video. The option cockpit where you changed TCP to Simulation, I don't see on my software. I only have settings, IP subnet, Description and Online controllers. I'm using version 2024
Hi, thanks for asking. Seems like there is no simulation package installed, because the version number is the one for PLCnext Engineer (as of today the 2024 simulation packages are still to be released). Meanwhile, take one of the 2023.0 LTS simulation setup installers (download for free at www.phoenixcontact.com/en-pc/products/software-plcnext-engineer-1046008#downloads-softw-link-target). If you have more than one PLCnext Engineer software version installed, make sure to pick the according path during the installation process of the simulation packages. If it wouldn't work then either, please go to the forum section in the PLCnext Community (www.plcnext-community.net/forum/#/categories/plcnext-engineer) to get technical support for free.
The first video of this playlist ("architecture in a nutshell") is great but the other two beginner videos are poor. They don't convey any sort of motivation or introductory architectural information. Instead, they barely walk through a baseless, arbitrary example each, clicking through already existing tutorial files, while the narrator is just languidly echoing what we see on screen anyway.
Thanks for this video. Helps me follow along while taking the RealPars training program for PLCnext!
You're very welcome!

thank you for the help but how do you add and connect digital inputs and outputs in the simulation mode? it doesn't work as normal

Thanks for guiding us to better content. We're trying to improve the other two videos.
